I thought about posting this yesterday, but was pretty sure it'd be knocked off the front page in a hurry. It's very interesting IMO, it shows that it *might* be possible to have a self-sustaining colony on Mars in the future. Certainly not in this century, but perhaps in the next.

I think that's pretty interesting that ice was discovered. I'm not too sure about their being life on Mars, but this could be a step in the right direction in discovering some.

The Double Double E on Mars? The Big Red Machine on the Red Planet? Space Suit on a Pole Match?
Frightening.

That leads me to believe that a "Cheese in a Can on a Pole on a Scaffold in a Steel Cage with a Huge f***ing Red X" may be the next X-Division gimmick match.

So if we were to melt the ice and the water would cover Mars...would life eventually form? Could be interesting.

So if we were to melt the ice and the water would cover Mars...would life eventually form? Could be interesting. That's assuming ALL life EVERYWHERE requires both water and carbon. There could be life there now, we may need to change our preception of what life requires, or even is to find more.

True...although maybe we can build underwater military bases or something on Mars. Soon all planets will be conquered by humans, the DOMINANT species.

Years ago, I watched a show about colonizing Mars, with humans. One of the things they wanted to do was set off a load of bombs (nukes, I believe) to create the greenhouse effect and force Mars to get an atmopshere. That's a problem, as well. Mars atmosphere is too thin, so the planet runs too hot and cold for us.

So if we were to melt the ice and the water would cover Mars...would life eventually form? Could be interesting. You're assuming Water + Dirt + Rocks = life. Last I checked, Water + Dirt + Rocks = rock soup. But I suppose that's a discussion not for this board.

Vilos Cohaagen will never allow the ice to be melted. He'd lose control over the planet and it's mutants.
