"I saw Braun Strowman, what was it - a year and a half ago and was all over him because he was taking a clothesline from Sami Zayn, and he was all, 'Well, it was just one bump before I would kill him.' I was like, 'I don't care. Sami Zayn should not bump you ever'. I asked him if Sami Zayn can kick his ass in real life, he said, 'Well, no.' I said, alright then. Why are you taking a bump for him? You know what I mean?" "This is coming from a guy with personal experience who had bumped for the wrong people my entire career because I didn't want to do the no-fall down stuff. I wanted to be respected as a worker so I can thank my knees, shoulders and back because I wanted to be a worker." www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2018/11/big-show-talks-advising-braun-strowman-to-never-take-a-bump-648248/

Tony: But if in fact a bump is supposed to be part of the storyline, what are they supposed to do? Improvise?

"Can he kick your ass in real life?" f***ing hell, what a childish ass question. It's a work. You've been in the business 23 years, you rube. It's a f***ing work.

It's honestly good advice if Braun wants to be treated like a big deal and a giant.
A guy like Braun shouldn't be bumping around for Sami Zayn.

Flair had the best attitude on this "If Brody and Andre can bump for me, anyone can bump for anyone"
It's just about context and execution.

Bumping for someone doesn't make a wrestler look weak. But a guy refusing to bump for another sure makes the latter look like a rube.
It's all about the execution. Plus by and large all this stuff is forgotten about once the match is over. Wins and losses, despite how hard Choad Dogg tries to say otherwise, is what most fans remember.

I really couldn't care less if Sami could kick Braun's ass in real life or not. Brock would waste just about everyone on the roster in a real fight, do I want to watch his boring matches where he's suplexing people for 10 minutes? Nah.

Real life? Are you kidding me? Professional wrestling matches could not resemble real fights any less than they do.
He sounds like one of those physique-obsessed trolls.

I'm okay with huge guys bumping for small guys but it should take a lot more than a clothesline.

This is honestly great advice. Unless you’re doing a Big man vs little man storyline, a big hoss like Braun shouldn’t be bumping for Sami. Unless you lose your aura like that WWE did to Big Show about a million times over.

If "can he kick your ass in real life" is the litmus test, then Shawn Michaels would have retired a jobber, and Finley would be the longest reigning champion in wrestling history.

That’s ridiculous. So basically Big Show is saying you shouldn’t bump for anyone unless they could kick your ass in a real fight.... what the f***.

Royce Gracie is the biggest rebuttal to that question in history, and he's just the biggest, most obvious example off the top of my head.

It’s good advice
For someone as big as Braun he shouldn’t just be bumping for anyone
Sure the real life argument is shit but the overall point is there

People want to see David take down Goliath. So Goliath takes the bump. And also, weren't you the one who said that Braun was "Too powerful" anyways? So....

Yea bumping for a clothesline is no good Building up to the spot yes is fine In working over Braun to get the big man off his feet but just bumping for the sake of it is dumb
