So I’m currently playing Dead Rising 2: Off the Record (I bought it cheap years ago, played it for an hour and got bored) but I’m currently trying to clear my backlog so gave it another chance and I’m actually enjoying it a lot more but I came up to the mission where you have to earn a million dollars to pay off the bad guy and man it was such a f****** grind
I had to do the mission twice because due to the games time limits on the mission, I ran out of time when I got to $950,000......which was fun. Fortunately the game has a sandbox mode so I switched to that and just grind the heck out of slot machines etc but man has it suck a lot of the momentum out of the game for me
Any similar experiences?

As soon as I saw the theater title this bullshit came to mind. I still to this day will not play San Andreas for this ONE GODDAMN MISSION.

Flight School in GTA San Andreas.
At least you can skip the remote control toy missions.

GTA: Vice City and that f***ING remote control helicopter.
Also, there's a level in the original Call of Duty where you have to lead a tank convoy through the Germans. Even when I broke down and started using cheats I went through pure hell trying to complete that mission without my tank getting blown up and rendering the level unbeatable. Actually, there's a couple of missions that pretty much forced me to cheat (the dam blasting among them. HOW THE LITERAL f*** AM I SUPPOSED TO NOT GET KILLED BY THE FOUR GERMANS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ELEVATOR?!)

Seymour Flux at Mt Gagazet
First time trial and error you are f***ed as you are probably under leveled and it’s going to take you a while to figure out to just use the Aeons for their overdrive

Dragon Age - the Fade sequence. So terribly implemented that there are mods that let you skip it.

Taris is sometimes bit of a slog in Knights of the Old Republic, especially on replays. There are even skip Taris mods.
Unfortunately it is the first planet you go to.
I never minded it as much as some people though. I think a lot of people skip it because you don't get to be a Jedi until afterwards.

Man, people are always talking about the RC missions in Vice City and San Andreas, especially the one for the latter. However, after a while, they got easier for me when I figured out to do them.

Trouble with the Trolly, eh?
(Side note: the remaster actually gives you a trophy for completing it)

The f***ing RC helicopter mission in Vice City. Then later the drive boat through the rings mission, which is unskippable and caused me to just rage quit the game and never finish.

Baldur's Gate 2 is an interesting case of the annoying mission being the very beginning of the game. Chateau Irenicus has two separate mods made solely to skip it, it's that annoying.

And if Rockstar ever made something worse than planes to navigate, it's boats. Every boat mission, in Vice City at least, cost me several thrown controllers in frustration. I'll also chip in Red Dead Revolver. Almost every boss was ridiculously tough, but Bad Bessie, Mr. Black, Sam, and the mission you play as General Diego sucked as well.

The handicap matches in No Mercy come to mind, for many, though honestly, I had much more of a problem with the cage matches.

Spotanious kidnapping in FarCry 5.
It didn’t ruin the game but it just puts a total stop to what you’re trying to do
