Road Warrior Animal’s son former linebacker for the Rams and one season with the Saints. He officially retired last year, but anyone have any thoughts on him or know if he is up to anything else?
I’m not much into football but it always gave me a good feeling to learn Animal’s son really made it in such a high paying sport. However, I was a little concerned as when Googling him it led to some of those net worth sites. One said he originally signed a contract for over $40 million. Then another said he just had over $30 million while another said it was as little as $9 million. Then an article was there about him selling his house.
With all those stories of former NFL millionaires going broke and their brains turning into mashed potatoes I hope this isn’t another case of that.

He NEEDS to go into wrestling (if his body is still right and if he could use the extra couple million dollars.)

He NEEDS to go into wrestling (if his body is still right and if he could use the extra couple million dollars.) Didn't he have concussion issues? Wrestling probably isn't a good idea for him.

I remember reading a story where he said when he met Vince in high school or college, Vince asked him if he wanted to wrestle like his dad. James said he was focusing on football, and Vince told him he'll have a contract ready if he ever changed his mind.
So, I guess the option is there, but yeah, if he had concussion problems, then he should do something else. Depending on what he went to school for, he could work backstage.

Considering Animal was one of the guys suing the company with that walking embodiment of Lionel Hutz, that contract might not be there for him now.

I recall from an interview he did to local radio here in St. Louis that the he wanted to spend more time with his kids and be able to walk because his last injury was a quad injury and he felt it was time. Not it's been a few years since he retired and did the interview. I doubt he want to be on the WWE schedule if spending time with his kids is what he wanted.

He does games on The Big 10 Network. I'm still waiting for him to say "what a rush" during a blitz package.

Vince weirdly doesn't seem to hold much of a grudge over that kind of thing, particularly if there is potential windfall involved. That, and doesn't Johnny Ace still work for them? So there'd probably be some good will.
