Trying to open a general discussion here. RAW has slowly become an uninteresting 3 hour marathon that few find very fun to watch.
To me, its' overproduced and so formulaic to the point where it is just stale to watch. Part of the charm around the Attitude Era was that everything was not over scripted and things went wrong, and it was more entertaining because of it.
As much as I love Seth Rollins, he's not an actor. Giving him (or anyone who is not a comedian) comedy material that did not come from his own mind is simply not going to land. While Vince loves 12 year old humor, his audience clearly does not.
You often do not even need to watch RAW to figure out whats going to happen. It's become SO formulaic, that even the most casual fan can successfully guess storylines months in advance.
Just my thoughts. Agree/disagree I am just curious to how others feel

A big one: don't do the same things and feature the same people week after week. That just reeks of laziness.
Smackdown could always use that advice as well, especially with their tag scene being self-limited to just three teams. People are getting tired of Usos/Bar/New Day. Variety is a necessary thing in professional wrestling.

I've been on the fence about this idea because I know people feel there are too many titles, but bring back the Hardcore Title and maybe make it cross brand with 24/7 rules where someone from SD can show up on Raw and win the title and someone from Raw can show up on SD.
Also, enough heel authority figures. Make Alexa a face/netural GM like Paige on SD or just put Kurt Angle back in the role.

1. Get the title off Brock
2. Use the utterly stacked midcard to create a vibrant main event where Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Elias, Lashley, Ambrose, Rollins, and Braun are all in the running.
3. GEt some better freaking announcers.

Nah. The entire main roster needs fixing. Smackdown is sort of fun but lacking consistency. Raw is straight up ass. When I tune in I want segments and larger than life characters, save the wrestling bullshit for the PPVs that's what they are for.
These TV matches need to be cut down by 15 minutes. The most time TV matches should have are 10-12 minutes tops. Sitting through that shit with three THREE commercial breaks is horrible. All that time wasted could have gone to character progression. Give us some skits that don't insult our intelligence. Put everyone over and emphasize their strengths while working on their weaknesses during live events or on their down time.
We desperately need consistency and continuity that makes sense and is fun. Stop booking the shows for an old man. Stop booking the shows of favoritism and nepotism. Books shows while gauging the crowd reaction. Sure crowds are different every week but that's the advantage you dumb idiots have. See what works with shitty markets and get actual pops and what works for bigger markets and find a middle ground. Listen to feedback. Stop patting yourselves on the back at every chance. Cut the sponors/charity work plugins. I want to watch a television show that is dubbed "sports entertainment" I want to turn off my mind for a few minutes not freaking think about cancer/special needs people. Just be a TV show for f**** sake.

I disagree that WWE should be trying to loosen up their presentation to be more gritty like the Attitude Era. The world just isn't the same anymore, I think people want polish more these days.
I always felt that since Marvel movies became such a phenomenon that WWE should have tried for a more comic book style presentation. Wrestlers are more acrobatic and more aesthetically pleasing now, and WWE is just too big league to be authentically gritty in my eyes. Like, I see the way wrestlers are presented in the yearly WWE video game commercials and I wish that WWE's presentation modeled that a little more, and skew a lot more fantasy based in their presentation than reality based like they try for.

Don't make your faces look like utter geeks in the face of overwhelming heels. As a fan, it just makes me wonder why I'd even bother cheer for good guys who look like total losers.

while I agree that the storylines and booking is horrible, I think the current RAW roster is complete jobber geeks. Get some guys from NXT or do another brand split draft or just end the brand split. The whole RAW roster is a bunch of midcards and lower

Nobody fights for anything anymore. I have no reason to care about the heroes because they aren't fighting for anything other than the belt, and that only benefits them. Even the Rollins/Ambrose feud is all about Rollins personal revenge.
It's all about "getting moments" and arguing about pushes and garbage I don't care about. Rollins came out and argued with Corbin about the Revival not being used properly. How about coming out and telling Corbin how he's sick and tired of having him endanger his coworkers? Have him tell him he's disgusted with how he put guys like Chad Gable in Handicap matches against two monsters like the AOP. How they could have ended his career, especially if during the handicap match they had AOP absolutely kills him. Then have Corbin put ROLLINS in that position, then you have Gable and Roode show up to help Rollins steal a win from AOP. Ambrose jumps Rollins after the match and then, as a delusional heel jerk, goes off on how he was evening the odds for AOP since they were getting attacked 3 on 1. Talks about how the old Seth Rollins would have remembered fighting for justice and the right thing. Blah blah blah.
Stories flow better when there are moral stakes. Mix the levels of the card and makes your heels bad people again.

Anytime Rollins tries comedy it brings me back to his 2014-2015 heel Authority persona and I hate it. He cuts his best work when he's just speaking from the heart.
The answer to this question is changing the format of the show. From the bottom up. If that doesn't happen then it's not fixed, it's simply putting a band-aid on the issues.

1. the key to success is not in the past. Do not try and recreate the attitude era, the Cena Era or Hulkamania era. Neither in presentation or booking philosophy.
2. change up the presentation... modernize it as it hasn't changed at all in over like 18 years... hell thanks to the Attitude Era we still start each show with... gee I hope someone comes out and calls each other out for later in the night otherwise we have no main event...
3. There are people on your roster like Finn Balor the fans are practically begging to cheer for... and I know this might be a complete mindf***... LET THEM. Have them doing important things... let them be important and actually look like stars.
4. GET THE TITLE OFF BROCK LESNAR AND NEVER GIVE IT BACK TO HIM... he shouldn't have been able to make the title disappear once... let alone 3 times.
5. MAKE THINGS MATTER. Right now you could miss months of programming and not miss anything. Everything is saved for things like Mania or Summerslam... or Crown Jewel... etc. (or like Mania this year they look like they are and then basically never let it actually happen like it should) let things happen on Raw, Smackdown, B PPV's WHATEVER... let things happen so that to keep up with the WWE you NEED to be watching.

Focus on the wrestlers and not the authority figures. I don't give a shit about the "office politics" stuff. Oh no Steph is going to give Corbin a "job evaluation" or something! I MUST TUNE IN. Shane and Steph battling it out for "brand supremacy" bragging rights?! OH MAN HOW THRILLING!
Stop having the same matches 28 weeks in a row because you have no fresh ideas for them.
Let the good guys win more often.

WITH A WRESTLING MATCH.

Give the audience what they want. Not ‘Go home happy’
There are guys who are OVER and there are people who the audience just wants to cheer for.
LET THEM WIN!!!!
In the hey day, Hogan was the biggest draw and was champion and for the most part, we were happy to see him win. Fast forward to today and Raw has had a heel champion, who is barely there, for the better part of the past 3 years and people are generally sick of.
Make Seth the Champ. Make Finn the Champ. Make fighting Champs that people wat to see.
DO NOT RELY SO MUCH ON YOUR AUTHORITY FIGURES!!! It’s great they have talent to help push storylines, but they shouldn’t be the focal point of it.
3 hours is just too long.
