According to WOR...Meltzer said that Vince was furious at the match and how it went.
Whoever was the agent for that match, whichever official? Their ass is about to be TORN UP by Vince. Don't be surprised if we have a redo fairly soon.

It wasn’t bad - Ambrose heat didn’t need to be anywhere as long as it was. Sprinkle in more hope spots for Rollins or give him a bigger shine before Dean cuts him off for the heat.
Plus it didn’t feel like these guys were ready to tear each other apart. Seth shouldn’t have been smiling or playing to the crowd like usual - he should’ve been all business. The referee should’ve been trying to get between them as soon as Seth got in the ring.

terrible. for all this talk of what a great worker Seth is he sure is consistent in putting on shit matches and promos To be fair, Dean Ambrose sucks as a wrestler. He is good at character work, but his in ring work leaves a lot to be desired. I've seen tons more good to great Seth Rollins singles matches than decent Dean Ambrose singles matches. People just scapegoat for Dean. Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar sucks? "Lesnar is lazy and doesn't want to work." Ambrose Asylum Match? Jericho is old and slow and the stipulation held them back." At what point do we look at Dean Ambrose as part of the problem?

It wasn’t a bad match per say, but f*** was it boring. Whoever thinks in WWE that blood feuds need to have dudes doing their best American strong style impression needs to be fired.
Like, Dean is an alright talent, but like CM Punk before him he’s not mat wrestler like Bryan or Rollins are. He’s a brawler who gets his character over more than his ring work. That’s his style and it works for him. Having him try to put on some 30 minute mat classic is worse than when Triple H does it at Mania. Hell at least Triple H is adequate at doing it, Dean just looks uncomfortable.

At what point do we look at Dean Ambrose as part of the problem? ? If we're just talking about single's matches. Ambrose/Jericho (the first match prior before the Asylum match that people seem to forget) was a dope match. Ambrose/HHH was a great match. Ambrose/Styles had multiple great matches. Ambrose/Miz had multiple dope matches. Ambrose/Corbin had an actual great match. Ambrose/Strowman had multiple dope matches. Ambrose/Owens had at least 2 great singles matches. Ambrose/Wyatt has multiple dope matches. Ambrose/Ziggler had multiple dope Raw matches. Ambrose/Rollins had at least 3 great singles matches in 2014, at least 2 great ones in 2015.
We're not naming the triple threats, multi-man and tag matches that were great here. Ambrose has had multiple great matches as a single's star. There's a difference between you saying you wish he were better and him sucking as a great wrestler.
Regardless, it all makes sense as to why this match didn't click well but to say he sucks as a wrestler when he was the barometer as to if guys could go in the ring for a bit (because Strowman couldn't work with Ambrose Strowman's first push was nixed) just isn't factual.

Yeah, the formulaic, "I'm going to wrestle you so bad!" style of match WWE typically uses for "intense feuds" killed it. Honestly, I think blaming the agent is a little unfair, to a degree. The writing for this entire feud has been awful, with Ambrose being a typical "You people" heel and them constantly relying on Roman's real illness to prop it up.
Amrbose and Rollins did what they could, but you can only do so much if the script sucks.

Yea whoever talking either Dean or Seth is bad wrestlers is way off base
They were given shit to work with and WWE got what they asked for. Idgaf if you have more matches planed, on a gimmick PPV you have your blood feud be a straight up wrestling match is unacceptable

The crowd summed it up best, "This is boring". The only match all night to get that chant. one that included one of the most revered babyfaces, and despised heels. If Dean's god awful heel schtick didn't kill the feud, this match certainly did. I have no desire to see it continue or Ambrose as champion. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong. Agreed. I can’t believe this is where I’m at now with Dean. I was looking forward to his return so much.

I stand by my statement, but respect your opinion. I did enjoy the Ambrose/Rollins matches, but I was trying to think of great Ambrose matches that did not involve Seth Rollins. From there, the only match on the list that I enjoyed was him vs. AJ Styles. But, to be fair, it's really difficult to have a bad match with AJ. The rest of those matches honestly did nothing for me. But, to each his own. Different strokes for different folks.

Dean is actually good at working in the slow it down/heel feeding & cutting off comebacks etc. The story of these two has been told for a long long time, and the latest chapter isn’t a good one.
Rollins & Ambrose really need a break from each other. Let Ambrose heenit up & defend against some babyfaces. The Shield can go on a long hiatus while Roman gets well.

Don't be surprised if we have a redo fairly soon. But it also calls into question, who the f*** was the agent and why aren't they watching the product? I just don't believe that someone like Dean Malenko or Arn Anderson is going to look at that the story presented and go, "We should do a straight up wrestling match." Who else is an agent? I know Tyson Kidd and D-Von are.

Idk I still put most of the blame on Rollins/Dean on this. There have been countless examples of wrestlers having shitty or no story before a match and still having at least something solid in the ring.
I am not saying Dean/Seth are bad wrestlers more it seemed like a bad day at the workplace which happens to everyone once in a while. very few guys pump out 3.5 star quality matches every night.

Noble has sort of become notorious for his shitty agenting of matches I forget which ppv it was earlier this year there was a sheet that was leaked that showed everyone that agented matches on this particular ppv and there were only like 2 matches that everyone enjoyed....and Tyson was an agent on both and Noble was either the sole or one part who agented it the worst matches with the shittiest finishes.

Ah, well things line up a little more. I would expect Noble to be producing Seth's matches given that they're friends.

I think the agent was watching the story, it’s just that the story sucked. The match was Dean connivingly dissecting Seth to trigger him to lose his shit and capitalize on it. That’s on par for the shitty way this feud has been developing. Everyone takes the L here, including Vince.

I hope it wasn't Mercury due to his closeness to the Shield because he should have known better. Every once in a while a script for the show leaks. I wanna see the script to this one.
