Each women's match told a good story and was filled with superstars trying to make a point.
I can't say this about every men's match. In fact, in at least one men's match, they were clearly coasting and the crowd ripped them for it.
Like for god's sake, Ronda has been wrestling for less than 10 months and is more exciting in the ring than most of the guys.

This is true.
Seth and Dean stunk out the joint tonight.

Eh, idk. If someone wanted they could say "the women need to step it up" when referencing a random Raw or SDL like last week's episodes.
I think the men and women are all great and able to perform at the highest level if need be. The problem is the match booking, who's able to do what and, well, Vince. If all that's good then we'd be seeing amazing matches out of everyone on the roster regardless who it is. That's just not the case though. Tonight's an example where the women had better matches ratio-wise but we could likely see that change tomorrow on Raw or SDL because not everyone operates under their own capabilities.
Basically the whole roster's held back to a degree and they all gotta roll with the punches.
EDIT: In the case of Ronda she's special. She's good in the ring but the thing with her is that she's always given some time away from house shows and other obligations to practice upcoming her match with her opponent so they know how things are spot by spot. This weekend for example, she and Nia didn't do the Nashville house show so they could head to the location and practice their match. The others however had house shows. It's been that way since Ronda's first match with the company. I don't think she's ever had a legit one on one match in the company where she didn't do that type of spot by spot practicing beforehand. It just makes you wonder how others would operate if they were able to do the same thing.
And before anyone responds stop thinking I'm taking shots at Ronda. I'm just speaking facts here.

Bryan vs Styles was miles ahead. Lets not get carried away here. The Raw guys could step it up though...

On the main roster, Becky and Charlotte have been the best in the whole company for the last couple months. None of the men, except maybe The New Daniel Bryan, have come close to being on their level. Their whole storyline has had its flaws, but they both completely elevated it and the SD Women's Championship with their performances.

TLC was an awesome match, but Bryan vs Styles was Match of the night.

Not really. Becky, Charlotte, Asuka and Ronda are exceptionally talented and all had good nights but there's plenty of dross in the women's division.

It's not the worst thing if Ronda never ends up being able to call her matches on the fly. Savage made a career out of pre-planning all his matches.

Maybe this will start some sort of healthy competition. Since we don't have any promotions knocking on the E's door, maybe something between the talent will inspire each of them to elevate their performance.
However I'm concerned about losing Paige and Alexa already do to the rougher style as they are trying to grab the audience's attention. I admit, that's what had me interested in the women's matches last night.

I find myself wishing they would allow people to do that more often if it clearly gets good results. DDP was the same way, wasn’t he?

I just said others don't get that. Savage did for sure.
