In the Bob Backlund thread, it was mentioned that the point of his return was to turn him heel, but it took two years.
I seem to recall that there was talk of the Andre turn for some time possibly?
Are there any that you have heard of? I'm sure it varies, but how far in advance are angles or turns really planned?

How many years did we hear about a Sid return until he made that appearance in the build to Raw 1000?

How many years did we hear about a Sid return until he made that appearance in the build to Raw 1000? Prichard explained that Vince was very closed to bringing Sid back in 2008 because of all the injuries, sanity prevailed when Vince was talked out of it.

The MegaPowers break up was planned essentially from WMIV, and was storytelling at its finest. On STWW Bruce explained how they had subtle gestures such as Savage suspiciously glancing - just quickly, but enough for you to notice - at Hogan when he celebrated with Elizabeth at Summerslam 888 to plant the seeds.
I remember seeing him angrily pointing at Hogan at the end of the 88 Survivor Series, and 13 year old me was amazed that the commentators hadn't noticed. Good times.

Bully Ray as the leader of Aces and Eights. They switched a lot of the people under the masks around with whichever indy guys they could get their hands on at the time, but Bully Ray was always there from the first attack.
