I absolutely loved that segment and the multiple possibilities that can come from it. It felt like something the REAL Vince McMahon would do to a superstar and made AJ out to be a badass that ultimately proved to Vince that he still has that fire and killer instinct about him. Between this, Cena’s return, the women’s tag titles, Becky, Drew/Dolph in a cage, Mustafa’s comeup, heel Daniel, possibly face Miz, and the use of different tag teams, next week and 2019 are shaping up to be something for sure. Now they just need to get Almas back on track. Dude ain't sticking around much longer if they don't.

They have the clip up on wwe.com, I just watched it about five minutes ago. It was interesting though, after AJ knocked him down and roared in I think frustration, Vince was all 'get him out of here' and trainers came running immediately. That said, it totally came off as Vince being a dick to AJ and pushing him too far.

Yeah but Vince was smiling as though he enjoyed that moment. I just hope it doesn't lead to HHH/Styles or something with HHH out to avenge Vince's honor or something. Though with HHH hurt I dunno if he could even do that at WM. It could just be a renewed push for AJ with a new contract.

Vince going out of his way to get some heat for AJ is great and not surprising. I think AJ will always be one of Vince’s guys now since flying back to that PPV when everyone had meningitis to face Balor. That kind of stuff gets you on Vince’s good side for life.

Remember when KO left Vince laying on the mat and it didn't amount to much for him as far as a push was concerned?

OK, I need context here. How does Styles go from respectful brand-carrying babyface to “I’M-A PUNCH AN OLD MAN IN THE FACE” in the space of literally minutes? Vince was egging AJ on to unleash the animal in him. Now, whenever former WWE World Champion AJ Styles grows angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs. {Spoiler}

That gave my goosebumps. Best Vince in ages, AJ showing the performance skills that just get better and better. This could be awesome.

I know he was trying to get under his skin but I thought it was hilarious when Vince said ‘who are you?’ and AJ actually explained who he was....like how dumb is AJ to think Vince doesn’t know who he is? Then right after he went through the whole face that runs the place stuff Vince was like duhhhhh I know who you are.

Vince's facial expression as he lay there smiling... "Ref, you know, I think perhaps I may be one of those people who gets a jolly out of being hit."

AJ is one of things WWE has truly done right. He's been largely well-booked and well protected and is obviously very important to the McMahons. I never would have thought this when he debuted.

I gotta say, Vince being a huge AJ fan is something I never saw coming. He’s everything Vince ususally doesn’t go for: smaller, big name from the indies, wasn’t homegrown. Yet he’s been pretty protected since day one and between the title reign and tonight it’s obvious Vince is a huge fan. It’s been a really pleasant surprise. Two Southern boys who had to scratch and claw for everything to get them where they are today. Vince gets off on guys like him.

From what I understand or heard from the grapevine is that Vince respects that AJ built his own name brand up and did it all by himself
