Ring of Honor “Survival of the Fittest 2014: Night One”
November 7th, 2014
From the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio
Commentators: Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino
Tonight: twelve men fight to enter a match tomorrow night for a Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship title shot.
Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match
Will Ferrara vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Will Ferrara got tossed around like a rag-doll early in this match but then it became another forgotten competitive Will Ferrara match.
Winner: Tommaso Ciampa (advances to the Survival of the Fittest Finale tomorrow night)
Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match
TaDarius Thomas vs. Roderick Strong
This one seemed really sluggish. Roddy looked kinda gassed in parts.
Winner: Roderick Strong (advances to the Survival of the Fittest Finale tomorrow night)
Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match
Adam Page w/BJ Whitmer vs. Cedric Alexander
This was a really good showing from both guys. At this point in time Page still hasn’t hit his stride but in this match he showed promise of what would come later on.
Winner: Adam Page (advances to the Survival of the Fittest Finale tomorrow night)
Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match
Delirious vs. Adam Cole
This may be the most entertained I’ve ever been watching an Adam Cole Match. But then when Adam Cole took over I almost fell asleep. This was a really good match but the ending was bullshit.
Winner: Adam Cole via Countout (advances to the Survival of the Fittest Finale tomorrow night)
Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match
Jay Lethal w/Truth Martini and two strippers vs. Hanson
Jay Lethal came out with strippers...then Hanson came out.
Winner: Hanson (advances to the Survival of the Fittest Finale tomorrow night)
RD Evans, Moose and Veda Scott come out to discuss RDs upcoming match against Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor Television Championship. Jimmy Jacobs comes out and (thankfully) puts an end to the party. Eventually the rest of the Decade (BJ Whitmer and Adam Page) come in and assault Evans and Moose. The Addiction come to their rescue. Frankie Kazarian says it’s time for their match right now.
The Decade vs. the Addiction
This was decent.
Winners: the Addiction
Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match
ACH vs. Matt Sydal
I’ve seen these two wrestle on another a lot. It this was still a really good match. I think it was their first match against one another.
Winner: Matt Sydal (advances to the Survival of the Fittest Finale tomorrow night)
No Disqualifications
The Kingdom w/Maria Kanellis vs. the Briscoes
As far as brawls go this was a good one. I always like seeing Michael Bennett in a no disqualification match because it means he’s getting his ass kicked. Despite that Mark Briscoe still got the worst of the beating and took the pin. I’m really interested if Mark Briscoes career record for losses and getting pinned in tag matches is the polar opposite of Jays?
Winner: the Kingdom
After that shocking victory the Kingdom continues to beat the Briscoes down, and Adam Cole comes down to join in the fun.

J. Diesel & Jake Dirden w/Truth Martini vs. Moose & RD Evans w/Veda Scott
This went on way too long and was not very good.
Winners: Moose & RD Evans
Post show recap

This was a decent show. The main event was really fun but short and the Adam Cole verses Delirious match was good. But I think that’s only because I find Delirious so entertaining. Adam Cole sucks so much.
