Now both AFC wild card teams advance. How often does that happen? Even more interesting is the fact that I think the odds are good that both advance next weekend as well. Ew, the idea of the AFC Championship being held at Dignity Health Sports Park disgusts me.

We are underway in Chicago for the first playoff game in Soldier Field since Green Bay defeated the Bears in the 2011 NFC Championship en route to winning SBXLV.

I want to say it was the end of the 2015-2016 season, when ALL the wild cards won (Pittsburgh thanks to Vontaze Burfict being a f***ing idiot, Seattle thanks to Blair Walsh becoming Mr. Shank on a chip shop, Green Bay, and I can't remember the other one). The other one was KC beating Houston 30-0.

I have to think the Cowboys are hoping for a Philly win here

After the way the young QBs have been playing in these playoffs so far i'm willing to lean on Philly winning this game

There’s a big storm and my power is knocked out. I like stormy weather but it’s not acceptable during the NFL playoffs!!

No one knew what to do with that play. You can have a rulebook a thousand pages long and still have situations completely unheard of.

If the rule is that it's an incomplete pass (which seems unclear right now), they should change the rule.

If you're the NFL, you have to be planning a long meeting with the refs on how quickly they're calling plays dead.

I could have sworn that it was the case that when there is no clear recovery, the ball goes to the spot of the fumble. Like, I'm pretty sure it's happened before, not just that I have some weird trivial knowledge of the rulebook.

No clear recovery of the fumble, so it goes to the possessing team at the spot of the fumble. So it should've been first and goal Chicago.
