I'm....really f***ing confused about the booking for this story. It makes no sense at all. I'm thinking Dasher is another victim of the Grand Championship. Those who wield it are corrupted by its power.

Kim completely dominated Whisper. Whisper hit one move that Kim no-sold and continued her attack before finally finishing him off. Scott said on commentary that no matter who won the match, the real winner would be FIST who are next to challenge the champions. So what was the point of the whole thing? Kimberlee got her revenge for something, but did they have to have Whisper get murked? They're still champions. The story isn't over.

Yeah, we don't even really know the whole situation with Kim and Whisper.
And to be honest, Dasher's story is way more compelling right now than Touchdown's if Touchdown wins here and I've always preferred Dasher as a wrestler to Touchdown. So I'm pretty okay with this, in part because I don't think this will be the end of it. I'm guessing this is leading to a full blown feud between them where Dasher forces Touchdown to snap and stop trying to ride the fence on it for the sake of their family. Boomer's element of the plot is definitely not over either, which leads me to further believe this isn't over between them. Because though it may be obvious something is going to happen with Boomer, it's still interesting to wait and see what exactly goes down there too. He's not going to keep helping his dad cheat without some type of event horizon.

If I could, I would wager on there being some kind of confrontation later between Dasher and Molly where Dasher doesn't pull his punches at all and this angers Touchdown to the point where he realizes that his concerns about family were not the same as Dasher's.

So is this the first ever ladder match in Chikara Pro History? Second. The first was back in 2009, Vin Gerard vs. Jimmy "Equinox" Olsen. Isn't it technically the third? Icarus vs Greg Iron?

Still think they have one of the best themes in Chikara history.

Still think they have one of the best themes in Chikara history. Watching that... wasn't the most flattering depiction of the Hawx, in my opinion. Nytehawk and Danjerhawk both seemed pretty sloppy and slow in the clips they used. I know that they're rookies, but they both presumably have the same amount of experience as Razerhawk, and he's just head and shoulders above them in terms of ring work and the crispness of his offense.

Razerhawk just seems to be the best of the team. Best in ring work, and best in promos. Plus, he seems to be the only Hawk (including Sylver) who actually gets what his character is supposed to be. From his mannerisms, to tone of voice, to choices of verbiage, he captures the idea of late 90's/early 00's pop culture the best out of all of them. Like, look at the original Colony. Fire Ant was the most energetic, yelled incoherent nonsense, and spammed fireman's carries the way the Young Bucks do superkicks. Soldier Ant marched around the ring, saluted, and spoke almost entirely in military jargon. Worker Ant came out with a wheeled luggage bag and fanny pack, shook hands with everyone, and had a generic "grizzled veteran" voice. You could tell who was who, and they all had distinct characters. What actually separates Sylver, Nyte, and Danjer, other than Nyte carries around an old blocky cell phone, and is supposedly the team's tech expert, according to Razer? The biggest problem with the Hawx is that, aside from Razer, they're all interchangeable.

I love Razer but the other Hawks just don't stand out to me and never have. Very sloppy in ring, not even consistent in appearing. And their outfits and whole brand don't really look as cool and distinctive as the Colony's did and do. I want to like them, I just... don't have a lot of motivation other than in Razer who despite the injuries has tried super hard to stand out and be his own thing going as far back as the Merlok feud.

I have a theory about the Hawkz but it's more of a real-life theory rather than a storyline theory and since Razer does post here, I won't go into it too much.
Nights are supposed to last only 12 hours long but this one seems to be lasting longer than it should be.

I had a lot of fun watching the show live. I think I'm back on the CHIKARA train, and a lot of it has to do with Dasher and Touchdown's storyline.
I genuinely felt really bad for Boomer in all this. His getting bullied suddenly by his Dad so much, who has so many expectations for him, is going to be an ongoing storyline for some time to come, I feel.

It is a great bit of storytelling that Boomer is this righteous and upstanding guy...because he was raised by a righteous and upstanding guy of a father, the only issue is now that father has snapped. So in a way when Dasher grows frustrated with Boomer's reluctance to do bad or help him do bad, it is the man Dasher has become raging against the ghost of whom he was.
Similarly one could make the argument Touchdown is the man he is today because Dasher put him on the straight and narrow. So again Dasher is fighting a reflection of the man he inevitably deemed too weak to get to where he is now.

You know who I kinda want to see get involved in the feud eventually?
Mrs. Hatfield.
For one, obviously, she's Dasher's wife and Boomer's mother. She can't really be happy with the way Dasher's started to treat their son.
On another point, it's always been stated that Dasher and Mark are step-cousins-in-law. The "in-law" part, to me, implies that Mark is from her side of the family (to be precise, they'd be step-cousins, i.e. someone from her family got remarried to someone from his family). Depending on their relationship, Mrs. Hatfield could also take it really personally that Dasher would hurt her family that way, especially with the emphasis Dasher has put on family ties over the years.
In the end, that could be what brings Dasher around. Not only is he screwing up his relationships with Mark and his son, but the belt may cost him his marriage.

After seeing him in better lighting... yeah, that's definitely Lance Steel down in front in the Crucible videos. Or at least, A Lance Steel. Considering the time travel shenanigans that have gone on, it wouldn't surprise me if there's more than one Lance running around again. Or it may be Lance Steel Jr. or something.

The one guy definitely invokes Lance Steel's look, but down past the shoulders it doesn't look the same as either of the old Lance Steel looks. So it's either a revamped outfit for Lance or it's a different Lance, or it's meant to be like a lot of the masks and outfits we've seen and merely invoking the feeling of old stars. Much like the one guy in Don't Eat The Black Ones' tights were very reminiscent of someone's too. Given what we've seen and what little we do know, I wouldn't take anything for certain unless we have definitive proof of it (like we know for sure that these are happening at the Wrestle Factory unless they state otherwise narratively).
I guess part of my reluctance to finger him absolutely as Lance Steel also comes from in the past characters being introduced with initially similar enough outfits that it confused fans (like the great confusion of when the Batiri debuted and there was a brief time when live results were coming in from that show that people thought Hydra was apart of the trios with Kodama and Obariyon, not realizing until later it was a completely new character that was a goblin we all know as Kobald).
