Not the greatest call ever, but Bryan calling Kendrick/Ibushi, specifically “OH MY GOD! BURNING HAMMER! RIGHT TO THE NECK! COVER NOW! COVER NOW!” put over the move, the match, and the entire CWC in a way that’s so hard to describe for me.

It's a big one for me personally, but "The boyhood dream has come true" has always stood out.

Either the obvious stuff, or more obscure pulls, what are some of your favorite calls? Watching a lot of OSW Reviews the last couple of days, so it's been on my mind. Starting with an obscure one, on ECW Heatwave '98, Masato Tanaka gives Mike Awesome an Awesomebomb over the top ropes to a table on the outside. Reckless as hell, not a fan, but did garner a strong reaction from Shane Douglas, who was sitting in on commentary due to injury. He just lets out this very visceral sound of a mixture of concern, disgust, and shock, something like, "AHHHOUGHHHHGHhhh!"I do not like Shane, or find him very entertaining, but it really put an exclamation point on the moment. The only time I ever liked Shane Douglas was when he was commentating in ECW because of his injury. He was actually pretty good at it, added some good insight on wrestlers and completely unlike his character would put guys over.

Schiavone calling Luger's title win over Hollywood Hogan in 1997. "LUGER WON THE TITLE! LUGER WON THE TITLE! LEX LUGER WON THE TITLE! INCREDIBLY, LEX LUGER IS THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!"
Heenan when Goldberg beat Hogan for the title and Schiavone at the end of the show. "Goodnight America, Goldberg's the champ."
Cole at Night of Champions 2011: "MARK HENRY! MARK HENRY! MARK HENRY IS THE WORLD CHAMPION!" So simple, but so effective.
Cole at WrestleMania 30: "THE STREAK.... is over."
JR going off on HHH after the SummerSlam 2002 match with HBK.

Anything that ever came out of Jesse Ventura's mouth. The quintessential commentator as far as I'm concerned.

At Money in the Bank 2011, when CM Punk wins the title, Michael Cole lets out a very subdued "Oh my God." It wasn't the way Jim Ross would have done it, with over the top passion. It was instead, almost off mic. I loved that line because it didn't seem like a commentator putting over a storyline. It felt like a guy realizing that some guy was leaving his place of employment with its most valuable asset and coming to the realization that the company that he works for and his livelihood could be in big trouble.

For a more standard answer, Bobby Heenan calling Goldberg defeating Hulk Hogan is just... it's electric. "THANK YOU! THANK YOU! He sells it every bit as someone who has wanted to see Hogan destroyed not just since WWF, but as Madison's pointed out before, a feud that dates back to Hogan versus Bockwinkel in AWA. Heenan had lost a step in WCW, but this is perhaps the best work of his career, the festering resentment giving way to jubilation. This was truly magnificent. Like, I know Bobby hated working in WCW, but this moment with Goldberg and Hulk was like the culmination of over a decade of kayfabe hatred by Bobby. Michael Cole: Mankind has achieved his dream, and the dream of everybody who's been told you can't do it! vintage Cole My single favourite call of all time. My second favourite, however, is when Austin had The Rock in a Sharpshooter at Survivor Series 2001. Heyman: Why isn't Hebner calling for the bell? JR: Because he hasn't tapped yet! Heyman: That's never stopped him before, at Survivor Series!

Monsoon's "This is it! The FINAL TIME!" as Savage is doing his four-corners goodbye at WM7 was accidentally powerful. It made you realize they weren't messing around on that retirement stipulation and the Macho Man was really done as a wrestler*.
* until returning six months later, winning the WWF title at the next year's WrestleMania and continuing on as a featured player through the end of the '90s

Honestly?
A lot of Tazz's calls.
Sometimes dude would get flat out weird, like when he talked about Kizarny sipping sizzurp with the bearded lady, or his infamous "GET SOME KIDS!!!" call during the WWE Draft.
Or probably my favorite, when The ECW Zombie comes out on the first WWECW, and starts moaning into the microphone...
"Riveting stuff, right there."

With so many to choose from the 1992 Royal Rumble I'll go with this classic:
*Roddy Piper saves Ric Flair from Jake Roberts*
Bobby Heenan: I'd never thought I'd say this, but thank you Roddy! It's not a skirt, it's a kilt!
*Piper attacks Flair*
Bobby Heenan: Why you no good skirt wearing freak! It's not a kilt, it's a skirt!

The one one that always stuck with me was the Rockers vs Bossman/Akeem at WM3. Rockers were running around and Akeem hit an epic clothesline. Jesses quote. "I believe he irritated Akeem". The combination of the move and the quote has always stayed with me. The way Jesse could deadpan the lines he did back then was amazing.

Some from Michael Cole "How much more of this does Daniel Bryan have to suffer through? How much more of this does Daniel Bryan have to take? He's the runner-up again. And it's been heartbreaking, it's been frustrating, it's been going on since SummerSlam, and at some point it's gotta stop!" "Tap out, Batista!" "HE BEAT ANDRE THE GIANT WITH THAT MOVE!!!!" Even though he didn't say it, that match was King's best job on commentary. He wasn't a commentator, he was a fan that got lucky enough to call the match. He was marking out for everything in that match. "Whatcha gonna do, Rock? Whatcha gonna do?!" "The most electrifying move in sports entertainment today, the People's Elbow on Hulk Hogan!" Lawler lost himself in that match.

Both JR & King bought their A Game for this match and rightly so not every day you get to call a match like that.

Oh you're kiding me, are you kidding me? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?- Jerry Lawler the announcer turns into Jerry Lawler the booker as he realizes what is happening at Survivor Series '97.

Also from the 92 Rumble: "Why do you think they call him the Barbarian? He's not a hairdresser on his day off, you know!"
And a more recent one, from New Japan. I'm not sure who made the call, but on Shingo's entrance to NJPW: "The Dragon's Gate has opened into the Lion's Den!", which is just f***ing perfect.

"Get him outta there! For God's sake, get Randy Savage outta there! This was not supposed to happen! Jake Roberts...Jake Roberts is SICK!!!!" Say what you will about Vince as a commentator, but his call of the cobra attack was amazing. That last line over the image of Jake smiling at the raised cobra is one of the greatest commentary/visual pairings in pro wrestling history.
