Just because I'm also a Cubs fan, and I want to see a Detroit-Chicago World Series.

I'm going with Cinci, especially if Bailey comes up in the second half. Reds are my sleeper team in the whole league.

The Cubs have the best team in the division. The Cardinals got worse from a team that only won 83 games last year. The astros starting pitching is a question mark? The Brewers could be scary, but still a young team. The reds I'm not sure about, They were in it tell Septmber last year then feel off.

Houston Astros...No reason, none at all.
Cardinals got lucky last season and I haven't kept up with the Reds.
Chicago Cubs = Mets overspending and sucking
Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers have no chance in Hell.

I voted for Brewers. They keep improving slowly each year since being in the NL and Ben Sheets is going to be their leader.

I'm torn. The Astros finally got a good offensive force in Carlos Lee, but Pettitte flew to the Yankees, costing the 'Stros valuable pitching depth. While Jennings is solid, he ain't no Andy Pettitte.
The Cards are the favorites, but I don't see much in their starting pitching either, save for Carpenter & Wainwright. So I'll go with the Astros. At last, a team from Houston that's not the second (or third) best team in Texas.

Astros, Pettite wes never as good as he was as a yankee. Jennings and Woody Williams were added to the staff. Putting Carlos Lee behind berkman will be great. And if Ensberg has a good year then its over.

Eh? Only if we're talking about the 2002 Mets.
Anyway, I'm not one to ever say "They made some big, flashy moves, so I'll pick them to win!"...however, the Cards lost too much pitching this offseason, and the 'Stros just aren't consistent enough, so I'm leaning towards the Cubs.
Still, the Cubs have the biggest potential in the league to either soar, or hideously crash and burn.

I'm going with the Cardinals. Many have said they lost pitching which they did loss a couple starters but only one of them was really a lost is Suppan IMO. The Cubs over paid for Marques. We got Kip Wells who could be another big turn around like several other pitchers we had. Wainwright who is a starter in the minors could be great. I think the second have is were to watch for the Cards. Lets see how well Mulder does when he comesback from the shoulder, we may see what we wanted to see from him. Wit Izzy coming back and been said doing great. When he good he is one of the better closers in the league.
I'm going with the Cards because I see a lot of possible good things in pitching. The Cubs did not do that much to help them. They did never got that good closer that they been lacking for years. That been there problem for years. They can score a lot of runs but the pitchers blow it. The Cubs really have a lot of questions as well. Can Prior and Wood still be as good as they were when healthy or as these injuries hurt there proformces all together? Can they for one stay healthy period? That remains to be seen with them.
