Once Nervous Nick bounced at the end of last year taking his Top 10 lists with him, the last vestiges of ScrewAttack outside of Death Battle went with him.
Without him the channel’s only content was Death Battle, the podcasts surrounding Death Battle, and DBX, the mini-Death Battle spin-off. So it just makes sense to rebrand as Death Battle.
Hopefully Rooster Teeth pulls a New Orleans Pelicans and allows GameAttack to take up the ScrewAttack name.

Haven't watched in a while but kinda sad for nostalgic reasons. Between them and AVGN (who I also have moved away from) they both got me back into retro gaming.
And since we're on the subject, I have a great Craig story. I went to Magfest YEARS ago (can't remember which one) and was playing NBA Jam. Well I broke the glass (which I didn't realize could happen) and Craig was walking right by and complimented me. I later interviewed him at the convention. Nice guy.

Face it, gaming videos that were popular 15 years ago are ruined.

I was really into them when AVGN was partnered up with them. Kinda fell off after the Craig/Tom fall out and after AVGN did his own thing. They were super important to early online video game video content.
Just watched Craig's Q&A stream. He said Gametrailers offered them 250K per year, for 5 years as a contract at one point.

Man, I don't know how many times after my community college classes (assuming I didn't go to work right after) I'd binge on ScrewAttack content. I wasn't one of their G1 members since I only had that small pocket of time (back then my house only had dialup), but I remember watching it on the lab's widescreen (though not quite HD) monitors. There were moments Craig seemed like he was definitely the "big boss" around there even with Handsome Tom right there (I wasn't shocked at all he left when it happened). Craig always seemed cool, just that he definitely wanted people to know ScrewAttack was "his". Dunno if that had to do with Handsome Tom or the fallout, or getting the AVGN and viewcounts clearly pointing to him being the "main event" of the site. I dunno, maybe that was just my more "in-tune for drama" brain remembering it differently.
I always liked their "VG Vault" stuff, and always wanted to do something like that myself if I ever got into doing videos (and I had that phase, though I converted that more to writing/blogging than video production). I also liked the Angry Craig videos much later.
