Shigeru Miyamoto, aka the God of Video Games (for the unwashed, he's the creator of Donkey Kong, the Mario universe, the Zelda universe, and almost any other legendary series like that you can think of), gave Nintendo's keynote address at the Game Developer's Conference earlier today, and while Nintendo was legally obligated not to reveal anything that might radically alter their stock prices (they're in the middle of selling a bunch of stocks, and Japanese law says they have to keep them mostly level during the sale), they did give us THIS: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7W0pUUWqLgThe first "honest to goodness" Super Mario game since Mario 64 (Sunshine was kind of halfway, to me)? Me want...me want big time.

That is on my "Must have" list now! That game looks so awesome. It's like Sunshine, only better ;D

I must be one of the few people who actually liked Sunshine...it was a decent idea, it just lacked in story IMO. Galaxy looks FREAKIN sweet btw, and is second to Brawl as far as excitement factor for me at this point. Speaking of SSBB, when are we going to get an official roster? I'm sick of waiting! I liked it well enough...but it just didn't stack up to 64, in my eyes. This has amazing potential, though, and since Mario revolves around gameplay innovations, I can't wait to see how far they take this space motif.

Dude... I think I just had a nerdgasm watching this.
Now if only they'd post more news and footage about Super Smash Bros: Brawl. You'd have one happy gamer then.

On the bright side, the new Paper Mario game also comes out very soon (April).

That Looks Sweet. Haven't played a Mario game since Mario 64 so this will have to be the first

Looks impressive.... it also looks like Nintendo decided to look square at the creaters of Katamari Damacy and said, "So, you think YOUR drugs are good!"

Game of the year potential right here, though I think Smash Brothers Brawl could take that title.

It looks like fun. I've had the very good luck of coming into some extra cash lately. I think I'll pick me up a Wii once I get my check. Mario and Zelda look amazing.

Zelda's incredibly fun, and this likely won't be any different in the "I LOVE this game" department. If you get a Wii, be sure to get Wario Ware and Trauma Center.
