On CBS, how does that stand against CBS regular weekend programming? What time of day did they air? If it was during the afternoon, CBS stations don't really have regularly scheduled programming on weekend afternoons except sports. They don't air any of their sitcoms, dramas, or reality shows that early in the day. If those games were in prime time, the numbers sound like a disaster given how big CBS is. Looking at the AAF schedule, it looks like they have a game in the afternoon—around 3 or 4 PM—and a prime time game at 8. If those are the opening-week numbers, I could see things getting worse. Only Week 1 and the championship game are on the CBS broadcast channel; all other games are on CBS Sports Network, TNT, or the NFL Network. Of course, those channels require a subscription to higher cable tiers. My parents had Digital Preferred and I don’t think we ever got CBSSN since Comcast bundled it with the Sports Extra pack.

Games weren't on CBS - first was at 2 on TNT, second was at 8 on NFL Network. The first lost to pretty much every other sport on the channel throughout the day, as well as tons of shit throughout all hours of the day on other channels, while the latter barely beat an airing of JoJo at 1 AM.

One game a week been shown on the CBS Sports network. I think one game in week one was on CBS, the very first game I think. The rest was TNT, NFL network, and B/R Live

NFL Network showing them, interesting.
They were airing ads during the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl if I'm correct. So weird that the games are now all on cable.

The league said they wanted to work with them and be more the minor league system for the NFL and not be competitors. The XFL seems to be more wanting to be against the NFL.

It was prime time that they're running the games. Usually, they show reruns of proceedurals and usually 48 Hours. It changes from week to week, as Saturday is a dumping ground for programming. A million plus for ratings would probably be good for a Saturday night, but losing more than half the audience probably means that it's definitely not making an impact (just noticed after posting this that it wasn't running on CBS prime, so the rating makes more sense.) What's funny is that there's a show that's only been on Saturdays also, a drama called Ransom (I think that it's loosely based on the Mel Gibson movie), and somehow, that's entering it's third season, despite it barely being advertised on the network.
