So, today I rewatched The Dark Knight for the first time in a while and ended up having a long debate about Dent with the missus. I love Aaron Eckhart (spelling?) but, whilst I love his arc, I don’t love him. For me Eckhart has a constantly creepy undertone that over shadows his character arc. I never really buy him as the white knight he’s supposed to be.
For me Dent needs to be a true golden boy. Utterly virtuous, and Gregory Peck/Errol Flynn handsome. Someone who can true utter lawful good and chaotic evil in the same picture. And I’m struggling to come up with a name who could do it in the current scene. Who in Hollywood is leading man super handsome and has the range to convincingly do ultimate good and utterly insane within 15 mins?
So I throw to you, who is your Dent?

Richard Moll.
EDIT: Oh, i misunderstood the question. Hmm, I will second Gosling as being potentially great for it, since he can definitely go dark in addition to going light. Part of me wants to say Michael B. Jordan, but I wonder if Killmonger would make it too difficult now to hide how intense he can be until it was time.

Ok fair enough, Moll is amazing. But what if you were casting Harvey Dent right now for a new, live action, picture?
Gosling is a good shout,

If I had to cast him now, and keeping in mind that the Batman solo movie is supposed to feature a 25-30 year old Batman, I'd go with Ross Marquand. He's an incredibly gifted actor, super versatile, and gets bonus points for looking like Tim Sale's Harvey Dent.

Sterling K. Brown could work. He's immensely charming, but could switch to a dark edge if needed. Gosling is a good choice as well. If you're going for a more known name like Gosling, you could put Cavill in the role. The thing about Two Face is just getting someone who can convey that duality. It doesn't have to be a wild performance, just one where the switch is distinguishable.

Jordan’s a good pick because he’s shown he can come off as so likeable. You’d definitely feel the tragic fall of the character.

What about Chris Pine? He’s handsome, carries himself well and has a wholesome look. I like to think he’s got enough range to unleash a dark side of a character.

It might sound like a weird choice to some, but I'd be all for Zac Efron playing the character.

I think James McAvoy could pull it off.
He's not the most handsome guy in Hollywood (but he's definitely a good looking fellow) and is definitely a good enough actor to pull it off. Just look at the range he showed in Split.

The Fassbender! He had a similar kind of arc in First Class.
I thought Eckhart was great though. The Two-Face story was wayyy too rushed.
