So this is terrifying. I am removing the Tweets in this post. They have no place on here, giving the poster attention. The FBI has already been contacted about him. - MadisonCan someone post a safe for forum summary of what this was before removal?

Yeah I'd like a summary too, even if only as a private message or something.

I'd like to know to. Don't need a name or anything just like some context.

So the plot thickens!
We’ve already known for a decent bit that Nick Rekieta, the chief LOLyer in all this, was a trust fund baby, but now we know the exact nature of his relationship with Ty Beard, and why he not only referred Vic to him but constantly tries to cover his ass.
Ty Beard is, for all intents and purposes, Nick’s legal sugar daddy. It turns out that Ty is the person that is the trust administrator who doles out Nick’s monthly allowance, at least from the particular trust he was left by his, by all accounts really badass and philanthropic, grandfather Louis Owen(apparently Nick has a grand total of 5 trusts to his name).
Holy conflict of interests, Batman!

As for the tweet people are asking about, I didn't see it, but it's probably the one where someone was advocating shooting Vic's accusers, saying that was the only justice left, some rambling, violent nonsense like that. Obviously not anything we really want to link to here.

...oh good grief.
This is not the plot thickening, this is the plot getting drunk and trying to re-enact The Aristocrats without the... well, the stuff that makes the Aristocrats what it was.

It also explains why Nick has the time to focus on youtube and practice virtually no law for years, to the point of pretending to be his own secretary and other embarrassing shit when it was discovered he let his business lapse. The trust funds mean that whatever he makes on youtube or wherever is plenty for him to live off of.

I swear all this trial needs is one of the lawyers to directly or indirectly have access to magical powers to fully turn into Ace Attorney.

I feel like any comparisons to Ace Attorney are rather unfair to the characters of Ace Attorney. Even Winston 'I'm only here to act as the tutorial' Payne knew what he was doing.

I'm not sure whether to link to it since it includes part of that series of tweets, but the judge both commented on the threats that have been thrown about and also ordered that they attempt to mediate by October 3rd. So basically he's giving Vic a chance to back out of this now without having to pay 100% of their legal fees.
I doubt he's smart enough to take it.

I'm sure he'd like to, but he and Ty have got to be thinking about how much face they can save by doing so. Like, having to figure out if it's a bigger show of weakness than fighting and losing. The optics with the knobs of the internet can be everything.

The smart thing would be to reach some sort of deal with Funi's, Rial's, and Toye's legal team where he backs off with whatever tattered remains of his reputation still intact. He should just take the L and move on with his life and be glad that he hasn't faced any outright criminal charges for his antics.
But as the old proverb goes: pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. And Vic has both in spades, which is only enabled by his doofus lawyer, scumbag trust fund baby friend, and the He-Man Woman Haters Club.

So, showing what an idiot Beard is, the judge specifically ordered that everyone avoid saying anything to incite people on social media over this... and then he immediately turned around and tweeted, "And the second quarter begins."
Which doesn't even make sense because... This isn't halfway through the game, this is at the finish.
