Already saw one person in a discord which I promptly blocked flipping out that they Vic was just fired without an investigation and how companies should protect their employees as well as customers!

I'm seen posts spinning this as "he at least fought the system!" Followed by an elaborate incel explanation on the subject.

For some of them they literally can’t separate the character from the actor meaning in their eyes he is[/is] Edward Elric and/or Broly, which when you combine that with how over the top and clingy a lot of people are towards Broly(even before his recent movie which actually made him a good character for the first time in history) means they were locked in to an insane degree.
And that’s just accounting for his actual remaining fans. A quite substantial chunk of his “fans” nowadays are those MRA/GG/CG grifting CHUDs who will never miss an opportunity to harass women and will always stand up for those they perceive to be “brothers in arms”.
And too even make it more simpler. These are just people in general who will talk behind a keyboard but if it came time to call to action they wouldn't it. It easy to say stuff behind a computer but put your real name out there behind your feelings and you get a totally different response Like i'm not going to stop watching FMA Brotherhood because this dude is a dickhead. Did a damn good job as Ed and other voices but learn to separate people from their work. He is just a cog in a wheel and irrelevant because someone has already taken his place without these issues. Vic has put himself in this predicament, no one has conspired against him I had to go through this a year ago (or two years ago?) when the mangaka of Rurouni Kenshin was arrested and convicted of being a pedophile. He is complete and utter trash and I'll never buy anything he does ever again. But it doesn't erase my fond memories of reading and watching Kenshin, either. Same with Chuck Huber's crazy ass and Yu Yu Hakusho or DBZ.

I saw one guy say he'd still be on Vic's side even if everything was 100% true about him because he likes his cartoon voices and doesn't care what he did.
So at least there's one Vicstan who doesn't even pretend to be a decent human being.

Why can't you just like the work while still acknowledging he's a shitty person? I mean, will I ever watch Fullmetal Alchemist again? I dunno, maybe, I really kind of have mixed opinions looking back at the original and outright negative ones in regards to Brotherhood, though there are aspects of them I think are good and I've thought about it. Still think Vic's a piece of trash. Granted I find it easier to overlook stuff like this with an ensemble than I do a one-to-one person. Like, I could totally sit down and watch some FMA, but while their offenses were comparatively light I don't feel personally okay with the prospect of ever watching more Brad Jones or Jontron.

On the plus side it is a good thing anime comes with at least two audio tracks. If you want to avoid Vic’s Ed you can always just listen to Romi Park’s amazing performance as the character.

Beard posted a Tweet saying, "Halftime," so yes, this dumbass is going to try and appeal. So I’m convinced this dude is using the money people crowd fund in other ways at this point because I can’t believe that a lawyer is this incompetent intentionally. I’m basically saying if he comes out with a new iPhone and an Apple Watch for the appeal, this is why.

.... I just.... I just saw someone compare this trial to To Kill a Mockingbird.
Because stopping a known creep from punishing his victims for speaking out is totally like how black people were treated in Alabama in the 30s.

I'm half-convinced he KNOWS he's doing a shit job and even that he's doing a shit job on purpose because he realized what colossal money marks Vic's army of Stans are.

Also, the black person was still convicted by a bigoted jury who believed the most despicable man in town over common sense and later killed when he tried to escape, but let's not let those details get in the way.

Hey, so, you know how Toei is completely pissed about Vic being done wrong and that they're taking the rights to Dragon Ball back any day now over it? Turns out they're so pissed that they tweeted Monica Rial a happy birthday.
Naturally Vic's idiot fans aren't taking this well.

Plus side, it's pretty easy to see that the fervor's dying down. There are still plenty of idiots backing him but they're not going a mile a minute all day everyday anymore.

So, just saw it recently where Vic's solicitor got legal advice... from asking people on Discord.
If Vic wants the judgement to be changed due to incompetent legal aid, he'd have a case for it at least.

Unfortunately for Vic, "incompetent legal counsel" isn't a valid reason for appeal.

Unfortunately for Vic, "incompetent legal counsel" isn't a valid reason for appeal. The only reason he got incompetent representation was that any competent lawyer would have told him he had no case.
