And for what role? It strikes me Jakes story would make one hell of a dramatized miniseries, starting with his childhood and ending with his resurrection in pro wrestling. But who would play his dad? How about Some of his best opponents like Ricky Stemaboat or Rick Rude? And of course, DDP. I think it would make one hell of a watch.

I always thought the guy who played Waingro in Heat (Kevin Gage) looked like Jake.
As for Rick Rude, why not Rami Malek with his Freddy Mercury look. lol.

It would a f***ing tragedy of a movie, like more than the wrestler.
I’m currently reading Jim Ross’ book, and everything about Grizzly Smith matches Jake’s stories. Smith openly preyed on twelve year old girls. Bill Watts and Leroy McGuirk lost the Texarkana town because Smith abused a girl there. JR resented Watts for keeping Smith around despite being a pedophile.
Grizzly Smith also molested his own children. I don’t know what actor could pull off playing such a disgusting monster.

I'm not sure that drinking a bottle of pee is the best example of an out of control drug problem, especially given all the other terrible things Jake did for and because of drugs. The guys on Jackass drank pee, and most of them were just stupid. That Bear dude drank pee for a TV show. Some people just enjoy drinking pee, for that matter. |
