Really don't see this happening. Just based on how the WWE operate... I just don't see Vince changing mania plans at this stage and Kofi was certainly not in them as he was put into the EC match as a replacement.
I had this thought before the talk of him getting a shot at Fastlane.
I mean I'll be glad to be wrong... but still.

I want Kofi to win the title this year, but not right now. Its not a good time, Bryans character is working so well.
Let him win MITB, it fits his cocky character and the general New Day stuff. He can cash in and get the title.

According to Wrestlevotes, he did some asking and the Bryan/Owens WM comments are true. However nothing is set in stone. One of his sources said based on Kofi's momentum Kofi/Bryan at WM could happen in the end.
Basically, if Kofi's momentum keeps up we'll see that WM match. If it doesn't then we're seeing Owens/Bryan at WM.
Keep rooting for Kofi.

I sadly don't think he will get it done because WWE sees nothing in him despite all evidence to the contrary.
But I have made a public vow. If Kofi does win the world title from Fastlane to WrestleMania, I will start watching Smackdown again.

This angle might be the most insane tug-of-war of emotions I've ever seen.

I'M FEELIN IT
Heh, I was worried about a loss before tonight. Figured WWE was gonna leave it as a Fastlane thing and be done with it.

I pretty much hit peak despair when the match was announced last week. Took a couple days before I could really even pay attention to anything WWE without getting irritated.

This angle might be the most insane tug-of-war of emotions I've ever seen. I dunno, do you remember the original Bryan wager and all the ground that covered? That started early enough that we had... *Bryan joins the Wyatt Family *Bryan leaves the Wyatt Family *Bryan loses to Wyatt, isn’t in Rumble *CM Punk leaves, bedlam ensues *Bryan in Chamber match, doesn’t win *Bryan challenges Triple H, suggests winner gets put in the title match *Match #1 to beat Triple H *Match #2 to win world title

I’m not gonna lie, when Vince took Kofi out of the match and the new day were complaining about it I almost shed a tear and legit felt bad for Kofi. There’s no way he’s not getting the title at mania now

I don't think we are out of the Woods yet, mostly because I'm skeptical that the officially parallel stories of Becky and Kofi are going to end exactly the same. If the bet was merely that Kofi would be in a WWE title match at Wrestlemania, I'd feel confident, but we need a title win to actually complete the bet.

If it's OK with the OP, I'm going to edit the first post so it actually has all the proper linked tags in them, so it covers any possible name changes between now and then.
EDIT: All done. As of right now, the end of February, we have 36 saying he wins it and 24 saying he doesn't.

This is why I make Oreo bets. Even if I lose, I still win.

I'm with Kofi winning.
Because I know he's gonna get screwed and immediately lose it to put someone else over.
I feel it in my plums.
