Yeah, there are still problems, there are still the issues with knowing how to highlight multiple women on Raw (though the tag titles may help there), you got a Smackdown Champion who is MIA. The reason I feel good about the women's division right now is that it is arguably the strongest from top to bottom that it's ever been. Yeah there are a few weak performers but even a lot of the green women have upped their game in the last year or two. Nearly all of them range from good to great in the ring with several women in the great category. Certainly I'd love to see better promo work from a lot of them but that Elimination Chamber match tonight showed that when proper attention/motivation is given to the women, they knock it out of the park. This is no surprise because that's pretty much been the case for months now. Evolution? One of the best PPVs of the year. Royal Rumble? The two women's championship matches were among the best that night. We all know Becky and Charlotte have been bringing it for seven months (let's leave talk about triple threat vs one on one in the other threads though). Even Ronda, who a lot of people (including myself) groaned about had delivered some excellent matches. Many of the women are genuinely over and after tonight's match I feel like any of those teams make reasonable contenders for the tag titles. Hell, the women main eventing WM isn't just a possibility, it's damn likely. That's huge.
Over and over the women have been taking the ball and rolling with it and looking damn good while they do it. I truly hope that the writers and folks in charge are taking note and will give them the spotlight and attention they deserve from here on out.

I went from thinking "neato" about the tag belts to thinking, "shit, this feels like the missing piece".
Like, I knew it'd help the problem of "if you're not actively fighting for the belt, or holding it, you're nobody", but yeah, this felt like it *mattered*.

This is by far the most women we’ve ever had on the main roster at one time and I really do think there is a staggering amount of talent and potential here.
Raw (14): 1. Alexa Bliss 2. Alicia Fox 3. Bayley 4. Dana Brooke 5. Ember Moon 6. Liv Morgan 7. Mickie James 8. Natalya 9. Nia Jax 10. Ronda Rousey 11. Ruby Riott 12. Sarah Logan 13. Sasha Banks 14. Tamina
Smackdown (11): 15. Asuka 16. Becky Lynch 17. Billie Kay 18. Carmella 19. Charlotte Flair 20. Lana 21. Mandy Rose 22. Naomi 23. Peyton Royce 24. Sonya Deville 25. Zelina Vega
205 Live (1): 26. Maria Kanellis
Unassigned (2): 27. Lacey Evans 28. Nikki Cross

Indeed, and that's not even counting the potential of some of the women in NXT and NXT UK. Bright times ahead, I say.

I started feeling this way when it was Rumble season again and you could see how much better off most of the Women’s roster was now from where they were for the first women’s Rumble. Having more belts for them to shoot for is only going to further raise their profile and get more women in featured positions.
Plus, the women’s division has been significantly more interesting than the men’s division as of late.

Admittedly, I've been feeling better in general for women's wrestling for a long time. I was a teenager during the Attitude era and while at first I enjoyed the bra and panties matches and all that, I quickly grew disillusioned with it as I saw genuinely talented female wrestlers treated as afterthoughts or forced into stupid bikini contests and all that. When Finlay started training the women there was a definite uptick in the quality of their matches but it was during the era of glorified models and didn't last. So, now to see so many fantastic women doing such an awesome job and regularly putting on matches of the night or month or year and getting the attention they deserve is great and feels a bit like vindication for all those years I held out hope for them. There could still be improvement but I think if you told me ten years ago about anything that's happened in the last 4 years or so, I'd have a hard time believing you.

The main problem they're going to have is, how do they get all these women the time they deserve? Of course, that's been a problem for the men too, for as long as I can remember, but right now the WWE has all those women mentioned, plus another half dozen in NXT who have genuine star quality:
Shayna Baszler Kairi Sane Io Shirai Bianca Belair Rhea Ripley Toni Storm
All of those women are good enough to be main roster stalwarts too. We're in the territory of having to discuss the women having their own show, if not their own brand.

I don't think you could have a separate women's show/brand with the top stars because they need to be featured on Raw/SDL (one thing that hasn't been remarked upon too much with the current Ronda/Charlotte/Becky story is that its perhaps the first time a women's story has been the lead angle across both shows each week, especially in Mania season), but it might be a sensible idea to give some of the lower/mid-card women a chance to get more time as a Network exclusive.

They'd need to still be on the main shows or they'd just be afterthoughts like 205 live who despite having some of the best matches can't get off the preshow to save their lives.
