We enter the second part of 1971. Vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.
We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

HANDS OF THE RIPPER is a Hammer Horror with neither Cushing nor Lee, but some luxurious scenery-porn, a majestic score, and some slasher-like deaths. It's an overlooked gem and I'm giving it some love here.

I could vote for The Omega Man but honestly whether it is Charlton Heston or Will Smith I just don't find the story terribly interesting. Godzilla vs. Hedorah is ok but not the best Zilla movie. So I guess I better vote for: OCTAMAN!!

An hour and a half left for this one, and The Omega Man looks to have it in the bag, but, things could change. Probably not, but they could. And then it's time for the final part of 1971.

Well, it looks like Chuck Heston and the 70's take on I Am Legend, The Omega Man, won this round. That's the one I voted for as well, as it is a very nifty (Very) 70's take on the whole "I Am Legend" story. Pretty fun movie. The Incredible 2-Headed Transplant is goofy, yet fun, crap, and Lust For a Vampire is another entree in the whole "Hot (Mostly) Lesbian Vampire" sub genre. We get a ton of those in Part 3. Speaking of....away we go.

Actually, there are a few others have mentioned in past polls that I might have to add on my "check out" list.
