From his promo on the way to the ring, from being the glue that held the match together, to doing any amazing job helping put Kofi over in the homestretch. The man is somehow having another peak in his storied career. Possibly the smartest in ring wrestler since Bret Hart. An amazing performance last night, again going under the radar. He is the top performer in the entire industry right now.

Daniel Bryan is the GOAT (lol) .
My favorite part was Bryan saying "You dont deserve to be here with me". Because he became Triple H right there, he became what he fought against for so long.
The fact that Bryan knows this is crazy to me. He can think of stuff like that in a second on the spot.
He's also the greatest heel right now, everyone hates him. We need Bryan vs Kofi at Mania.

He is wonderful. I love the fact that they've kept his character strong and smart in-ring as well instead of suddenly just being a cowardly heel.

Absolutely stellar in ring and character work.
At this point, I think Daniel is cemented as best wrestler of the decade. Which is crazy considering he missed a couple years of it.
And that's just from his WWE work, I haven't even dived into his 2000's work yet. Daniel really is a once in a lifetime performer, and WWE will have to be absolutely nuts not to do Bryan-Kofi at Wrestlemania, these guys work perfectly together.

To put into perspective how over he was even in the indy scene, after he initially retired in 2016, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter changed the name of their Technical Wrestler of the Year award to the Bryan Danielson award in honor of him due to having won the award from 2005 to 2013.

Yes, he retreats and kills time on the outside, but it seems calculated and strategic rather than cowardly, because in the thick of it, he'll still fight you tooth and nail. He's just not rushing headfirst into stupid dives anymore.

He's so great that when he works with someone else that's great, I can put my bias aside.
Bryan and Kofi were so good last night that I wanted Kofi to win and Bryan is my all time favorite.

Great work. I feel like Bryan is ruined in a sense because he could have been SO MUCH MORE at the moment but they bungled his return royally. I don't feel for Bryan as a heel as much as a face because the guy is too likeable and its too easy to feel sympathy for him.
Hes a star but he should have been a SUPERStar but again, WWE bungled most of his pre injury run and post injury run. he's a guy that SHOULD have been up there with Savages, Cenas, Brets of the world but he wasn't ever truly handle right by the company

I think the “WWE ruined Daniel Bryan” narrative is so cliche at this point with al the amazing work and career highlights he has had inside the company.

He has basically had three 4.5+ star matches in his last 4 PPVs, with one blargh match that I don't really blame him for at the Rumble. That's a big feat considering.

This heel turn has been amazing and it will make his eventual return to the face kingdom better than any of his post-retirement face stuff.

Get Bryan & Rowan a 3rd guy & feud them with New Day for Fastlane. Six man tag at fastlane where Kofi pins Bryan & then let the two of them go at Mania.

I was skeptical about turning Bryan heel, but Eco Warrior Daniel Bryan might be one of my most loved things in WWE right now.

Bryans ability as a heel to build a babyfaces heat in the ring is just insane.

I take it the men’s elimination chamber is a must watch.
Anything else?

I take it the men’s elimination chamber is a must watch. Anything else? Anything else worth watching last night? The women’s tag team was also really good. But, yes, definitely seek out the men’s. It was a damn banger.

I've been following Bryan's career since he was the American Dragon in ROH. It's amazing just how good this guy is at every aspect of being a professional wrestler and he ages like a fine wine.

On top of what OP says, kayfabe Bryan came the closest out of anyone in defeating Brock Lesnar (Goldberg dont count) clean and he basically just outsmarted The Beast at Survivor Series. A true ring general who countered the spam-suplexes and overpowered-offense of Lesnar believably which hasnt been matched in any other Lesnar ppv match yet
Bonus points for the trashtalk GM Bryan said about the 'Intergalactic' Universal Champ and almost being able to back it up at SS
