As in a guy that they hyped up...promo videos and the whole shebang...and they were worth the wait. I...can’t remember the last one and that kind of saddens me.

I guess Bray Wyatt? His vignettes went on too long and it took several months before anyone cared about him but he did eventually get pretty damn over.

Carlito?
I don’t know. I think the initial debuts of Breeze, as well as Owens, were done reasonably well. But WWE fails at the short-term and medium-term.

Bray Wyatt was really f***ing over in his debut, but unlike tonight, they did everything right in the build. First with the incredibly great vignettes even if they might have ran a couple weeks too long, and then they did it in Brooklyn, which would have been second only to a post-Mania Raw for an ideal place to debut someone in.

After looking over the roster I would say it is.... Zelina Vega. If you go by a person who just sort of seamlessly integrated into the product and has exceeded expectations.
For people who were heavily hyped: has to be Ronda Rousey.

Honestly that kind of slipped my mind. I was more thinking of that awful SummerSlam match with Kane where all involved looked like total jokes, then them subsequently having go-nowhere feuds with Miz and Kofi.

Kevin Owens was made to look like a chump a lot over the past couple years between his feud with Shane, his limp Universal title run and his feud with Strowman. However, when he showed up, the guy was a beast who beat Cena and unlike some others, transitioned that into success. He was doing great for a while until creative shit the bed with him. I'd say he counts as having delivered even if he's had a rough couple years.

Man, everything about that was fire. The editing, the promo, the introduction, the pop from the crowd was raw and organic. Dude was over as f*** straight out the gate. That just shows how much they dropped the ball with him. This Bray Wyatt, the sky was the limit.

Rey’s recent return has been great and it was built up with videos and hype.

The problem is once the ball was handed from the production team to Bray Wyatt himself, he wasn’t very good. Bray Wyatt just ain’t that good. There, I said it.

This has been the consensus for about two years now.
