Out of boredom, I decided to make a topic out of this. Like, I reckon that McDonald's is fairly commonplace in areas with fast food, so it would probably be interesting to see what's on the McDonald's menu from different places in the world.
So, basically, here in the Philippines, it's pretty much a staple in fast foods to have fried chicken and rice in the menu. Alternatively, chicken and spaghetti is also available. In general, rice ends up relatively common; stuff like rice bowls, and another constant item in the menu, the burgersteak: often topped with gravy and some mushrooms alongside the rice. On the other hand, burgers are a lot less varied. There's the big mac, double cheeseburger, and quarterpounder, nothing fancier than that.

In Australia we have Gourmet Creations, which includes an Angus burger, chicken clubhouse. We also have McWraps, loaded fries, I think there's also a breakfast burger. Of course there is Frozen Coke too, but the machine is always "broken". As for McCafe, Australia's coffee is very European influenced. So we have Latte, Cappuccino, as well as that Frapee crap. Desserts include banana bread, muffins, little cheesecakes, macarons, scones. We even have toasted sandwiches!

We have Spam breakfast options here in Hawai'i, but no Loco Moco. Unless there was previous attempts at fast food Loco Moco that failed miserably. Seems like something that'd be a slam dunk here though.

Just remembered. A limited thing here that happens yearly is adding the fish and fries to the menu. Probably my favorite item on McDo (that's how we call it here) here. Basically fish and chips. Can't really compare it to authentic fish and chips, since that's not exactly something that's served here, but the McDo one is damn tasty. The fish actually stays crispy even if you get it for delivery.
One other item that gets sold here on McDo is bacon and cheddar soup. Sounds gross, but really nice.
Regarding the chicken here, for a very long time, the chicken of McDo is just bleh. The fast food of our country, Jolibee, does the chicken far better than McDo and KFC, but lately they actually stepped up their game with the fried chicken. Still, for me Jolibee's far better if I wanna go fast food and the choice is between Jolibee and McDo. When you order fried chicken, you can ask for spicy, and Jolibee is just simple about it. the standard fried chicken covered in chili powder. Very tasty.

Japan: Teriyaki burgers, shrimp burgers, plus different seasonal stuff I think this month it's some sort of chicken katsu sandwich, I only go in for the (excellent) coffee...honest!

Lol I believe Mcdo is what all Filipinos call it. My family here in california and a lot of my friends parents call it McDo too. The Jolliebee here in Anaheim sucks though. They dont make the Corned Beef/Spam sandwiches anymore.

They dont make the Corned Beef/Spam sandwiches anymore. Amusingly, I don't think corned beef/spam sandwiches were popular here in the Philippines. That said, I think we do have corned beef with garlic rice as a breakfast item. As for McDonalds, I think one Filipino item in particular here is the eggdesal. The pandesal is a popular type of bread here in the Philippines, and the eggdesal is that with a scrambled egg that holds a glob of cheese. Slice of ham optional. Also nice. Also, Jolibee here is the only mainstream fast food chain that serves hotdogs, which is nice. It's got grated cheese, a sort of yellow sauce that I'm not sure if it's mustard or a combination of mustard and cheese, and ketchup. .

It used to be their grilled wraps for a bit. But they took it away. And then it was the hot and spicy mcchicken w/ no mayo. But they took it away. So these days just their coffee. Which is my favorite coffee.

I live in Iowa and we got cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets Ok but this one area McDonald's actually has 4 different McChicken options all the same price: regular, dipped in BBQ, buffalo ranch, big mac style (lettuce onions pickles sauce) for a little more you can get a Cordon Bleu McChicken. It's basically an egg mcmuffin with cheese but it subs the chicken patty for the egg.

Jollibee opened up in Chicago in the last few years. I swear I think the entire region's Filipino community was there for a month, the lines were out the door. Haven't actually tried it yet myself, which I'll have to remedy. As far as McDonalds, Chicago has a unique McDonalds with food items from all around the world on a rotating menu since we have McDonald's HQ. news.mcdonalds.com/stories/our-food-details/global-menu-mhq-november-2018

I always wanted to take a road trip to New England to try the McDonald's Lobster Roll or maybe even to the Midwest to try the McDonald's Bratwurst, but could never find a definitive list on what McDonald's sell them. Last thing I want to do is drive eight hours and wind up in the one McDonald's in all of Vermont that doesn't have McLobster.
And since Jollibee's has come up, I want to say I went to the one in Queens, NY and it was horrible. The food wasn't just bad, it was straight up disgusting (and I say this as a man who proudly eats chocolate covered insects). The chicken was rubbery and gross, the "spaghetti" (because I got in trouble on another message board for calling it "noodles") was the cheapest of the cheap discount store ramen, and the mushroom gravy was so unnecessarily oversweetened that it would've worked better as an ice cream topping.

Don't live there anymore, but in Quebec they had Maple & Bacon poutine, which is just as terrible as it sounds. They also had these slider sandwiches called McMinis, basically was a chicken tender on a small french loaf. Last, they sell a McLobster Sandwich on rare occasions (normally closer to New Brunswick than Quebec, but eastern parts of the province had it). Never tried it though, couldn't manage to bring up the courage to eat fish at any McDonald's really...

Chicken nuggets, though not so much anymore.
And large fries. Best fast food fries of them all.
