I've met Walt a few times when I've gone to the Secret Stash as I think he still manages the store for Kevin. Nice guy. I've been wanting to make the road trip to the store in hopes of meeting him, but I can't help but think he wouldn't be the most approachable/friendly guy.

Walt's really nice. Everyone who works at the Stash itself is pretty cool, TBH.
Kevin himself used to be there a bunch but I think he mostly lives in LA these days, except when he comes to NJ to film Comic Book Men.

Respect. Walter Flanagan is a God. I’m behind right now. I’m at Makin’ Hay 3, and haven’t had the Patreon subscription since November.

Jesus, this cast is deep.
Returning: - Kevin Smith - Jason Mewes - Shannon Elizabeth - Jason Lee - Brian O'Halloran - Rosario Dawson - Joey Lauren Adams - Jennifer Schwalbach-Smith - Harley Quinn Smith - James Van Der Beek - Jason Biggs - Diedrich Bader - Joe Reitman - Jake Richardson
New to the View Askewniverse: - Chris Hemsworth - Chris Jericho - Joe Manganiello - Justin Long - David Dastmalchian - Grant Gustin - Aparna Brielle - Kate Micucci - Molly Shannon - Method Man - Redman - Craig Robinson - Tom Cavanagn - Carlos Valdes - Ralph Garman
Obviously it would've been nice to have the likes of Jeff Anderson, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Rock, Michael Rooker, Eliza Dushku and Mark Hamill back, but I'm actually pretty excited for this now.

I love the fact he got a few actors from the CW DC verse to be in it. Shows how close him and the actors have gotten. Really excited to see this. Last film of his I saw was Clerks 2 so I haven't been tainted by his low points lol.

eh... it looks alright buti t also seems like it's just Strike Back again...
I mean... maybe that's part of the joke?
But... I dunno... Smith's average has been pretty damned low recently.

It's a reboot (rehash? lol) of the movie being made in J&SB so kinda makes sense it'd be that movie again. Looks foolish, as usual, but that's the point. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Plus Damon & Affleck involved. That's very nice to see. And if you look close..... Melissa Benoist is in there, as Chronic. (Can't be certain.....but is that Val Kilmer as Bluntman? heh)

So Kevin Smith just combined all his movies for one big schlocky sort of sequel/reboot.
Sorry but no giant spider no buys

I am inordinately pleased to see Affleck back. Guess he and Kev patched things up.
Matt Damon reprising Loki is a plus, too.

Much like with Adam Sandler movies, I'm not sure if I changed or he did---same applies here. Still really like Kev, still really like most of his work up through say Clerks 2; but this? Not a chuckle, not a tee hee, never went ha.
More power to em, hope it does great, but it'll be a Netflix watch at best for me.

Strike Back is a tough sit nowadays, but Clerks, Clerks 2 and Dogma are movies I can revisit any number of times. Even Mallrats and Chasing Amy, to a lesser extent.

That may be part of it. This reminded me of nothing as much as the Dumb and Dumber sequel. They're hitting all the beats, but it just looks tired and sad.

Something like this is a bit of a catch 22. If it's too much of a departure, then people will be annoyed because they went into it expecting one thing and got another. If it's too in the same vein as the other stuff, it runs the risk of seeming tired and pointless.
I hope it does well, though. I'll probably check it out eventually.
