Watched it tonight. Thought it was pretty boring. I’m so, so tired of seeing Harley in these flicks. She bugs the f*** outta me.

I liked it. Some really touching moments that may be lost on folks who haven’t been watching these movies for 20 years.
Shot more like a modern made-for-TV movie with a bunch of A-list cameos than a theatrical movie, IMO.
Post credits stuff was nice.
LOVED Jay pronouncing “Iron” as “Eye-ron” as if he’d only ever read it (and, by extension, meaning that he’d never seen any of the MCU movies).

I don't know if I posted in this thread already, but saw and liked it. It was kind of a cross between the goofiness of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back mixed with the heart of Clerks 2 and family values of Jersey Girl. It was like Kevin Smith combining all his styles into one movie.

I really enjoyed it. It was funny and sweet. Little fast paced/disjointed but overall enjoyable

So where is this streaming? Did anyone get the rights, or is it just available for paid VOD everywhere?

Redboxed this. It's like hanging out with someone you knew in high school when you're now middle-aged: awkward and a little melancholy.

I watched it the other day. I liked it. I think it'll fall flat for folks who don't have kids, though.

Got it cheap and already had every other film in the series. Harley seems to have gotten her acting talent from her mother, who is one of the worst actress I have seen. But besides her the rest of the film was good.

Kevin at least had the good sense to never give his wife a major role; even in Clerks 2 she only had about ten minutes of screen time. Harley's okay, but she definitely has much bigger roles than she's capable of carrying.

I will say there were some sweet moments in it with the whole parent angle, it's just that ALL the humor just felt old and tired.
It may admittedly be a case with the change is in me rather than him much like how I like old Adam Sandler but can't stand much of the last couple decades from him either.

I honestly think the best jokes this time around were the clean ones. Kev's wit is often hidden behind layers of crude humor.

The best joke was the one after the credits, even if it doesn’t really make too much sense if you think about it.

She looked like she was the other girls aunt, instead of part of their gang.

That said, the movie itself is good. Lots of closure for a bunch of characters. Would like to see T.S. back next time. I feel like he and Brandi are the only two that have never been followed up on.

Originally Matt Damon's cameo was going to be the fictional Matt Damon from J&SB Strike Back, but he figured a brief cameo would fly under Weinstein's radar. Also the slight issue of Linda Fiorentino not being on the greatest of terms with Kevin. They're on friendlier terms than when Kevin publicly declared he wished he'd cast Janeane Garofalo as Bethany, but I believe there's still some frostiness there.

Smith figured Weinstein had bigger problems than Loki showing up in the movie.

I really like Kevin Smith, but his last few movies have been dog shit terrible. This was no exception. Chasing Amy really screwed with him too, I think He got a ton of shit for that movie and then he got a ton of shit for Dogma and I think it made him scared to take risks. That's why even something like Red State feels way tamer than it should. He's scared to do anything with some bite.
