The show ended up being what I thought it would be... a great New Japan show with ROH showing how far they've fallen. Even with New Japan involved this should have been a huge positive for ROH to get their brand going again and they didn't. In fact you ended up getting on New Japan's bad side by doing a worked shoot AND DIDN"T EVEN SHOW IT.
Is this all on Delirious? No I don't think so. But when you go on a spending spree to bring in talent after the Elite leaves you should not minimize those guys right away. Mark Haskins has been a huge draw in Progress for a few years and he's an afterthought in a Stable led by a New Japan loaned guy who looks like he wants nothing to do with the product. I also bet you never see GoD actually defend the ROH tag titles on an ROH show. I also bet Jeff Cobb is gonna become less and less frequent in New Japan.
I got flack early for saying that New Japan was bailing ROH out and I don't think I was wrong. ROH paid for the venue and New Japan sold it out. New Japan basically got to sell out the garden without having to spend money to book the event

It wasn't perfect, but that was by far the best show I've ever been to. Amazing atmosphere and amazing matches. Really felt like an historic night.

I’ve been predicting that Juice and White are probably going to restart their rivalry soon. Hopefully, they contrast against each other well. I hope so That was the best Juice has looked and he hasn't really hit that peak since
Juice may be a better contender than champion but NJPW hasn't really allowed him to showcase that quality. Overall, him and White work so well together and it can give Juice the shot in the arm he needs
I'd love to see Juice versus Jay again, especially without the cast goofiness, which was cool and all for getting heat on Jay, but was strange booking. "If he uses the cast, he is disqualified. If Jay does all kinds of cheating-" "Does he get disqualified?" "No, the ref just kind of allows it for some reason." "Okay. Does the cast feature in the ending of the match?" "No. Why would it?"

It would be funny if ROH brought them on tonight for the sole purpose of letting Ray beat the shit outta Enzo

It would be in Juice best interest to have them treat this like a serious feud especially with the way Jay White has looked over the past 6-8 months
Juice needs that edge back and even in a losing effort against White, he can easily slide to the NEVER title with added aggression or continue to work with ROH and get his profile up there because lord knows they need new blood

Man, what a live experience. Was everything perfect? No. Was it everything I was hoping for? Yes.
Worth every penny.

Any badass entrances or ring attires tonight? PCO had the entrance of the night with basically the only "special entrance"
G.O.D brought their banger theme out
Jay White brought back the All White gear
Going post all this in the other thread

Back home from the show. There’s a ton to say, but I’m crazy tired, so I’ll say it in the morning. Overall it was a blast.
Match of the night goes to Naito/Ibushi which had the building going nuts. I liked the main event too, but runner-up goes to the Jr. title match for being a brilliant sprint that had everyone applauding. Also, I got to see Muta which was a bucket list item.
Negatives were the WOH match and subsequent segment, and whatever the Enzo/Cass thing was. Not sure how it looked for you guys, but it was long and confusing for us. I would even say it ruined the mood for Tana/ZSJ.

I just got back from the show and really think I just saw the beginning of the end for ROH. All of the ROH matches were pretty meh and good lord bringing in Enzo and Cass makes me never want to watch ROH ever.
On the other end the NJPW part was incredible and I almost lost my voice near the end of the Okada match.

Putting the belt on Taven at this show really just seems to show how thoroughly ROH just plain does not get it anymore.

Marty would have been the more interesting choice, then just have him drop it to Taven down the line or something. Admittedly, I am so thoroughly over Lethal that Taven is still an improvement, but still.

So caught up. Skipped the RoH stuff so didn’t bother with the 3way ladder match. Okada-White was great and I was popping out of my chair for the last 5 minutes. Naito-Ibushi was a war and did exactly what it needed.
Enzo and Cass were there? Ew.

Didn't see, just checking the results... can someone explain Rush vs. Dalton to me please? Rush attacked a distacted Castle before the bell, hit his finisher twice and pinned him in 19 seconds. After the match, Castle attacked The Boys

I've said it before, I'll say it again. f*** off, LOLOKADA If he's keeping it warm for Naito, I'm all for it. After the shit last time between them, Naito's vindication should come by defeating Okada and shutting him up for good.

I like him well enough, but man, keep him out of the title scene for awhile.

When did ROH get so many shitty “local fed” looking guys?
