So I'm trying to predict this card. I reckon we'll have 9 to 10 matches, 2 to 3 on the Buy in and 7 to 8 on the main card. Page vs Jericho Moxley vs Omega Bucks vs Lucha Bros Dark Order vs Best Friends Kong vs Kong are all confirmed (I think) Cody vs Spears is a given too. That makes 6. I reckon then you'll have another singles match, another tag match, and another womens match, and possibly a multi man tag to put on the Buy In to get as much of the roster on the card as possible. I don't think Kong vs Kong is confirmed but I would be shocked if it doesn't happen. I don’t care if it’s 10 years past when it would have been better, PUT THAT MATCH INTO MY VEINS!

If I'm being honest I am having an incredibly hard time picturing myself actually bothering with the main event. Lot can change in six weeks I guess but on paper I'm heavily leaning toward just turning the show off after Omega / Moxley. I don't know how much you dig Jericho and what he's been doing the couple years, but I think the one thing the match will have going for it that the Sabian match didn't is that there's no way Jericho is going to half-ass that match from a psychology standpoint, so if you have any faith in him it should turn out to be a better match.

Gonna post here since I don't think it is a subject big enough for its own thread.
But I saw a video these days on youtube crazy over other medias and how the key was "authenticity" people want to support and enjoy authentic and transparent people.
That might me the biggest "secret" for AEW , you knew all these guys before they were executive, The Elite made a career of being "for the people " and showing their lives through BTE so people naturally went toward then, wanting to enjoy then.
Which other promotion has such open executives behind it?

My general viewpoint on Jericho is that he more often than not delivers great work but I very rarely actually want to watch him. Though you do make a good point. Jericho probably will work his ass off to make this click.

Whether he wins or not I see Jericho going out there wanting to put on a huge match that a) makes Hangman look good because that's what's expected of him b) makes him look great because his whole post-WWE "I've still got it" run hinges on it.

Which other promotion has such open executives behind it? Outside of community promotions like OTT or others of their ilk I can’t think of any. I think what sort of makes me want to give them more of a chance is because they’re coming out and admitting where there were faults and want to improve. Like with timing on All In or the chairshot at Fyter Fest or trying to establish what the TV show will be like compared to PPV. Like, I don’t want to be there worshipping their heels (and FftF was the weakest show they’ve done but I still enjoyed it) but there are too many people that think they’re the shit on all levels and never want to grow or improve or recognize mistakes and you get my respect if you at least do that.

Yeah, Jericho is the kind of guy who'd see the reactions Kip/Page got and want to roll up his sleeves to make Page look like a million bucks. He does a lot of his best work when he's trying to prove something, so, I am hopeful.

On the topic of Joshi titles being defended in AEW, I've got no problem with it, given how the AAA Tag Titles have been as well.
Shoko is the current Princess of Princess champion in TJP so they can have her defend it against Riho or Yuka at All Out.

God forbid TNT ever tells Cody to tone down the violence on the show.
He’s so deep into cosplaying his dad that he’ll have Heidenreich shove a spike into his eyeball.

Cody booking himself to fight a remnant of the Horsemen just feels like self parody at this point.

Considering how many gigs he ruined for himself for a period, I imagine {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{spoiler}Tully doesn't mind the paycheck.

Nah I'm all about this shit. American wrestling has so deeply lacked continuity in spite of the fact its history runs so rich. I love the idea that someone who's trying to take down a Rhodes would go for someone like that just as much as I loved in the Cody vs. Dustin match when Cody tried to end it with a Figure Four. That's the good shit. Give me all of that and more.

I have no investment in him since he is way before my time but that wasnt aimed at me.
I got Shawn Vs Cody already and some people get the extra factor.
