Pierce Brosnan just did it so damn smoothly.

Surely everyone knows it's Roger Moore.
Nobody does it better.

Brosnan
Connery through Dalton the gun barrel is just a flat lifeless image. pretty dull
Craig's are all kinds of dicked up. none of them stagger after being shot, Casino Royale has Tim Burton cartoon blood, and Quantum of Solace and Skyfall some pervert decided to put it at the end of the movie. you stick it at the beginning the way god intended! it took them four tries to get it right.
for Brosnan, you've got the lighting moving around so it looks real, the barrel staggers after he's been shot, its just gets everything right...apart from the one for Die Another Day. GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, World Is Not Enough are the gold standard of barrel sequences. the bullet going through the gun barrel in Die Another Day, that don't make no sense.

I do like how it feeds right into the opening number... but the cg blood was a bit much... I think it'd be better if that didn't happen... and it just went into the card thing.

There is something about the lighting in Brosnans that makes it really standout from all the others (outside of the die another die one ugh) and as it moves gives this real sense of depth to the gun barrel that none of the others have.

There is something about the lighting in Brosnans that makes it really standout from all the others (outside of the die another die one ugh) and as it moves gives this real sense of depth to the gun barrel that none of the others have. It was the first one done by Daniel Kleinman and the first to be CGI, and the subtle way the light changed inside the barrel as it moved across the screen made it so much better.

Brosnan had the best effortless shot.
Though, I do enjoy early Connery's hopping incompetence.
