Ironically the one vote that kept Jeter from unanimous was by Bob Shepard's son

I wouldn’t have voted him in unanimously anyhow. For what reason? I purposefully didn't vote for him in the FAN ballot because he's a shitty owner. Yeah, I said I exercised my right to be a poobah, and dammit, I poobah'd.

Derek Jeter and Larry Walker votes to the HOF Some head ass didn’t vote Jeter so he falls one short of unanimous Bout time on Walker. Jeter was no surprise. His lowest percentage I think was like 30 something a few years ago. He had a big come up

Another thing, nice jump for Scott Rolen. I hope he will get in too. Exciting player to watch.

Can't believe Abreu nearly was one and done. He's boarderline Hall of Fame, even moreso then Posada (who should still be on the ballot.)

Who is on the Ballot next year? Schilling def gets in after his craziness cost him over last few years while Bonds/Clemens should reach 70%

Welp, Jason Giambi will never go to Cooperstown. He was eligible... and got exactly six votes. That pretty much ends it.

Schilling def gets in after his craziness cost him over last few years while Bonds/Clemens should reach 70% Notable new additions for the next few years: 2021: Tim Hudson, Mark Buehrle, Torii Hunter 2022: Arod, David Ortiz, Teixeira 2023: Carlos Beltran 2024: Ichiro, Adrian Beltre, Joe Mauer, Chase Utley, Ichiro and Beltre should be first ballot.. Arod will get the Bonds treatment while Utley, Mauer, and perhaps Ortiz will get in years later.

So happy about Walker finally squeaking in, so with Simmons that's two former Cardinals being inducted.
I feel 2000 hits alone is a pretty big deal and respect-worthy, so when you're sixth all-time in MLB hits, that's an automatic vote to me. It's a moot point though, Jeter was electrifying.

Arod will get the Bonds treatment while Utley, Mauer, and perhaps Ortiz will get in years later. It is going to be a few years before we see a first ballot with Ortiz having the best chance to do so but Beltre should get in 2021 is probably the best chance for Bonds and Clemens. A-Rod won't get in for about 6-7 years after eligible. Ortiz will get in by his 2nd year the latest. Tex will fall off, Beltran thanks to recent news may hurt him for a while, Utley I don't see making it and it will take a few years for Mauer

If he ain't what BWAA was looking for from this era, I don't know who is. Some years I think they get off on how few people they let in.

Canseco's book flat out said he injected Pudge and he still got in 1st ballot. People have selective memory. That's why I don't account for ped's and all that stuff.
