I loved it. A cool shock. Just kicking the shit out of Rollins before the match because he doesn't give a f*** and then falling victim to his delicate balls.

I loved it. I thought it fit the gimmick for Brock to say he's on first if he's not on last, started the show hot, and set the show up as one where the right people were winning the matches.

Given the story of Brock being an overpaid asshole who doesn't care about the company and monopolizes the title, there was something humorously fitting of him in the opening match, getting hit in the balls and losing in three minutes. I walked out of it thinking the complete opposite. I think that Brock is a genius. He could have easily been in the main event if he wanted. He could have sat in that locker room for about 10 or 11 hours waiting for his match to close the show, got out of there after midnight, sore, tired, and every restaurant closed. Instead, he said, "Hey, put me on first. I'll lose in 3 minutes to really put Rollins over strong." He got there, did his job, and left. I bet that before the end of the second match, Brock was in a restaurant with his wife and kids, content that he had just beaten the horrendous WrestleMania traffic and had just made more money than most of us will ever see in our entire lifetime for doing three minutes of work. He was probably also content in the fact that, in doing three minutes of work, he suffered no injuries and is able to prepare for a big UFC title match that will soon make him even richer. It's good work if you can find it. Well I meant more in the kayfabe story they were presenting Brock as; I personally don't have much issue with his work, lazy moveset in a few select matches notwithstanding.

I move we retire the term "Achille's Heel" in favor of "Brock's Balls"

I figured they were going to start the show with one of the World title matches. It may be the “opening” match but a sizable chunk of the crowd had already been in their seats for over two hours at that point. They needed something to reenergize the crowd. If last night taught me anything, even though the women going on last was a big deal, it's that opening WM is more important than closing it now.

It was smart. If that match had been anywhere else on the card, it would’ve been forgotten in minutes. By opening with it, everyone remembers it.

If you're gonna have 3+ huge main events one of them SHOULD open the show. It worked better here because Universal is treated as a bigger deal than the WHC was when it opened 27 and 28.

Vince McMahon must have seen our thread about recreating Wrestlemania IX main event and said "No f***ing way, FAN"

Brock holding his nuts walking to the back while Lawler's theme played was hilarious. Don't forget the brave fan tempting fate by touching him on the shoulder as if he just got rejected to a prom date.

I thought it was a fantastic way to start. I loved that they used it to further push Lesnar's laziness/sense of entitlement, too

Brock holding his nuts walking to the back while Lawler's theme played was hilarious. Not as funny as Paul Heyman making a full entrance to "Real American".

It was a good tale of hubris, and him looking past Seth and underestimating him.
