Adult Swim is losing rights to Family Guy & Bob's Burgers

Few days ago but I only just learned about it.

Essentially FXX will be getting the rights to seasons 16 and 17 of Family Guy instead of them, as well as anything subsequent, and fall next year they'll get the rights to Family Guy entirely. Bob's Burgers will also make the jump at some point after that.

This seems like it could be a gigantic issue for Adult Swim if they can't pick up something around the same level in their place.

This might effect TBS too since they pretty much aired nothing but those shows as well. If anything we might see new Rick and Morty episode sooner then later.

People still watch cable and aren't going to go towards online streaming platforms if they aren't familiar or lack the means. It's an age/wealth thing. Besides, it's sometimes a time killer for those viewers.

Unfortunately, this means 4 hours of American Dad! nightly.

If I'm right, American Dad is also own by Disney as well now so who knows how long that might stay on adult swim.

At least for the moment American Dad is safe, most likely due to TBS footing the bill on the later seasons.
