Here's another thread I post every year. Often, we look back at each Wrestlemania and can say that it's memorable because of someone in particular. Whether it's because they stole the show or they were the show.
Examples I usually give are: Ric Flair owns Wrestlemania 24 and Wrestlemania XIII belongs to Bret Hart (edging out Steve Austin). Wrestlemania XXX may belong to Daniel Bryan, while it could be argued that it belongs to the Undertaker. Last year, several of you said Ronda Rousey owns Wrestlemanis 34.
So who owns Wrestlemania 35? Becky Lynch? Kofi Kingston? The 1989 Denver Broncos?

Kofi. Would have been Becky if they didn't mess with the build or tire out the fans before her match.

Kofimania. He had the most genuine "wrestlemania moment" so it's definitely him.

I'm inclined to say Kofi. Peak of the show and what I really think is going to be the lasting image from it.

Kofi, and it's not even close.
The women's story ran out of steam a long time ago, and Ronda's "this shit is fake" stuff put a layer of stink on it. The match itself was okay--horrible ending aside--but people were too exhausted to get into it.

There were a few popular angles, Kofi's was the biggest feel good moment. Daniel Bryan deserves a lot of props too, though being over as a heel may be a bit unorthodox for this kind of analysis. I'll dodge the question and say there was no one stand out performer, it was a team effort with a lot of very over wrestlers. The Becky-mania, Kofi-mania, the crowd was there for Rollins too, plus credit to great heels like Bryan.
Overall this Mania had the right people win in a few matches, which all added up to it being a pretty cool Mania. Kofi and Bryan had the match of the night though. Definitely Kofi's night, just not by a landslide for me since I found it the best Mania in a long time.

Another vote for Kofi. Could've been Becky but for whatever reason, Kofi hit his peak at the right time, whereas Becky's was maybe end of last year.

Kofi, but the women main eventing it will have greater long term significance.

Obviously Kofi but shout out to the IIconics that was a genuine Wrestlemania moment I thought too.

Kofi owns it in terms of putting on the most memorable performance, but Becky owns it because it was her crowning as woman on top of the wrestling world.

It's unquestionably Kofi. He had the best match and the best moment by far.

Kofi by far. His whole story to get there was genuine and felt organic. Becky lost steam when she tapped out clean to Asuka at the Rumble. From that point on, she lost a bit of her aura as The Man. The only reason her match was the ME was because Ronda was in it. But WrestleMania was definitely Kofi's night.

The same man who owned the previous 34 WrestleManias, Vince McMahon.
In all seriousness I'd say Kofi & Becky were Co-owners.

Becky still had plenty of momentum after winning the Rumble, especially during that segment the night after with Ronda. It was really the stupid knee injury, apology to The Authority and "suspension" while Kofi was getting hot that hurt her.

But for me, at least, her tapping out just seemed so out of character for her. She should have gotten pinned off a roll-up instead. As for everything you mentioned, I said it one time before, but they really should have had Charlotte and Becky feud for a month after the Rumble, then had Charlotte earn a title shot against Asuka at Mania, so there would have been two huge Women's Championship bouts.

Yeah, that's true. Probably out of character for current Becky, but I've seen her tap out a few times on the main roster (to Charlotte at WM 32, to Natalya, probably some others I'm just forgetting). Either way, even if everything went right in the main event, I can't take anything away from Kofi. He turned it into his Mania.
