So, I forgot to write the 10/30/19 Impact lol I had been working on Crown Jewel and was nearly done, so I posted the 10/23/19 Impact, thinking I would be back on track. So I'm working on that show now, so here's the first episode of ROH on AXS: Ring of Honor Wrestling, October 29th, 2019 Ian Riccaboni and his new broadcast partner, TAZ, welcome us to the first episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling on AXS TV. Riccaboni gives a quick recap of the last several months, spotlighting the DisHonored’s domination of ROH and capture of all the male Championships. With that, The DisHonored’s music hits and the group make their way to the ring, all the gold in tow.
Kevin Steen takes the mic and asks how ROH could even run a show tonight, with how The DisHonored have run through everyone there is to beat? Matt Jackson points out that there wasn’t even a card announced, because it’s clear that Tony Khan has no idea what to do. Adam Cole asks if he should beat PAC again, or maybe Dalton Castle, or Jay Lethal, or what about Michael Elgin? As the group is having fun, Tony Khan walks out, alongside a woman in a referee’s shirt. Khan says that while they did throw him for a loop for quite a while, he thinks he has a plan to give ROH a fair shot at beating The DisHonored for the gold. Tony introduces Aubrey Edwards’, ROH’s new head official, who will be refereeing tonight’s main event, as Kevin Steen defends the ROH Television Championship against Brody King. Steen yawns, saying he already beat King, but Khan plays the footage, showing Steen cheating to win. Aubrey promises that she will ensure a clean fight tonight and if Steen can win clean, she will happily raise his hand. But until then, she tells The DisHonored to clear the ring for the first match.
The opening contest sees relative newcomer “Super Bad” Kip Sabian take on QT Marshall. Sabian is accompanied by “The Super Bad Girl” Penelope Ford. Sabian and Ford quickly prove the formidable pair, as Ford provides countless distractions, which allow Sabian to bend the rules. Finally, Sabian puts Marshall away with the Super Badasser to get the win.
A vignette airs for a newcomer by the name of Darby Allin. The vignette is shot in black and white, with Darby performing “extreme” stunts, before the screen reads “FULL GEAR – 11/9/19 – HE’S COMING”
Alex Marvez is backstage with The Horror (Sami Callihan, Brody King, Madman Fulton and Joe Doering). While the group is helping Brody prepare for his main event, Marvez informs Callihan and Fulton that next week, they will take part in a ten team Gauntlet of Honor to determine who will face The Young Bucks at Full Gear. Callihan smiles, saying that they beat The Bucks once and all they have to do to get another shot is beat everyone else. Up next, two of the teams in the gauntlet meet to decide the first and last teams to enter the match!
Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson) take on Best Friends (Chuckie T. and Trent) to determine which team enters the gauntlet last and which team enters first. The Creepers are lurking in the crowd throughout the match, cheering on Uno and Grayson. While Best Friends fight hard, Dark Order pick up the win following a Fatality, giving them the right to enter the Gauntlet of Honor next week as the last team, while Best Friends will have to battle through all nine other teams to earn a title shot. Riccaboni and Taz then run through all ten teams in the gauntlet: Dark Order, Best Friends, The Horror, RUSH and Dragon Lee, Rich Swann and AR Fox, Private Party, The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara), The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Vinnie Marseglia), Jack Evans and Angelico, and The Lifeblood (PJ Black and Tracy Williams).
It’s time for the main event, as Brody King and Kevin Steen make their entrances. Riccaboni and Taz take the time to shill DARK on ROH’s YouTube channel. This Friday, on the first episode, Josh Woods battles Kenny King; PAC faces Shane Taylor; and Jordynne Grace, Priscilla Kelly and Kimber Lee will meet in a three-way match to determine who will challenge Mercedes Martinez for the Women of Honor Championship.
Steen and King face off, as Aubrey Edwards first orders The DisHonored and The Horror to go to the back. With the playing field even, the two have a good old fashioned slugfest in the center of the ring. Trading punches, chops and power moves for almost fifteen minutes. Steen goes to set up King for the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but King catches Steen, Aubrey, Riccaboni, Taz and the entire audience off guard by countering into a hurricanrana! As Steen staggers to his feet, King hits the Gonzo Bomb to pick up the win and become the new Ring of Honor World Television Champion! The Horror come out to celebrate, but The DisHonored have to ruin the moment with a seven-on-four attack. But PAC, Dalton Castle and COLT CABANA all run out to make the save! Tony Khan then announces that Adam Cole will defend the ROH World Championship at Full Gear in a five-way elimination match, against PAC, Castle, Cabana, and Joe Doering!
Quick Results Kip Sabian def. QT Marshall Dark Order def. Best Friends Brody King def. ROH World Television Champion Kevin Steen to win the title
ROH Dark, November 1st, 2019 - Quick Results Josh Woods def. Kenny King PAC def. Shane Taylor Jordynne Grace def. Kimber Lee and Priscilla Kelly to become the number one contender for the Women of Honor Championship

i’m really enjoying this so far I like how NWA is pretty much AEW, and ROH is pretty much NWA but both of them have a good mix of each other’s rosters from real life if that makes sense

RKTaker, I appreciate that. I'm going to be trying to give the companies more variety going forward. One thing I wasn't thrilled about when I wrote the Wrestling Wars was how WCW and ECW just became TNA and ROH. So I don't want to fall right back into that trope. As I get more comfortable with the writing style of the individual shows, I hopefully can bring things around to the vision I sort of had in mind. As I said early on, this idea is derived from an EWR diary I read elsewhere and is greatly expanded and evolved from their concept, which was completely Impact/NWA focused. By removing certain elements from Impact and sending them to ROH, it put things in a position to create a very appealing, at least to me, scenario for ROH to get bought by Tony Khan much earlier. Add in certain guys either not going to WWE or going later than they did in real life, it does change things up. I had to abandon my idea for MLW to be a powerhouse, mainly because I'm not familiar with them. I know MJF came from there, I know who Jacob Fatu and Tom Lawlor are, but that's about it. They still exist in this world, but their influence is minimal. Fun fact: The Wolves were on my internal roster for MLW up until I was writing Bound For Glory. I needed a team to challenge Le Sex Gods and they were the best option out of every team I currently have between Impact, NWA and the free agency. Also, I want to make some additional clarification of where I see relationships between companies. WWE is basically in bed with EVOLVE at this stage, but are working on forming a relationship with various Joshi companies (mainly Triple H, for NXT purposes), as well as with DDT, thanks to Kenny Omega's influence. NWA and Impact are separate companies at the moment, but are basically intertwined with one another, because Billy Corgan owns both companies, and a lot of their roster is shared across the board. They have a relationship with AAA, which is how the Lucha Bros are working for them, in my mind, they're not officially signed to Impact. As for ROH, they have a working agreement with NJPW, who have a deal with CMLL. As for RUSH and Dragon Lee, they still work with CMLL in this universe. NJPW, meanwhile, is able to book both ROH workers, as well as select Impact wrestlers who have special contract stipulations through Billy Corgan. At this point in the diary, that would mainly be Jericho and Cody, but there could be others in the future. As well, Tony Khan and Billy Corgan have a cordial relationship, mainly through the Crockett Cup in early 2019, where The Briscoes won the NWA Tag Team Titles, as well as SCU working extensively with ROH prior to Impact launching on TNT. At this stage, due to both companies now having cable deals, crossovers are done. But due to the positive relationship between the owners, the possibility of revisiting things in the future is always open.

NWA Powerr, October 29th, 2019 – Quick Results “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry def. Ricky Starks April Lee Mendez def. Chelsea Green Bram def. Kevin Kross w/ Scarlett Bordeaux Reno S.C.U.M. def. Caleb Konley and Jay Bradley to become the number one contenders for the NWA World Tag Team Championship
NWA Impact Wrestling, October 30th, 2019 As is becoming tradition for NWA Impact Wrestling, SCU are out first for tonight’s opening contest, a tag team war with LAX. The Lucha Bros are seated in the front row of the crowd for this one, as commentary puts over that the winners of this match could be in line for the next shot at the Impact Tag Team Championship. Santana and Ortiz have no time for Daniels and Kazarian’s antics tonight, as they have their eyes on regaining the titles. Konnan barks orders from ringside, while Scorpio Sky cheerleads from SCU’s corner. Late in the match, Konnan hops on the apron and shouts insults at Daniels and Kazarian, allowing Santana and Ortiz to nail double Backstabbers. However, with the ref busy with Konnan, Sky sneaks in and nails Ortiz in the back of the head with Daniel’s megaphone. As Santana chases Sky, Kazarian hits the Flux Capacitor on Ortiz, then drapes Daniels on top for the win. After the match, Fenix and Penta get in Daniels and Kazarian’s faces, as Matt Striker puts over that the teams are on a collision course…
Backstage, we have Jeremy Borash interviewing Impact X Division Champion Eli Drake. Borash points out that Brian Cage, EC3 and AJ Styles have all made challenges to the Champion. Drake addresses EC3 first, telling him to step to the back of the line, while also acknowledging that if he were to defeat AJ Styles, that would probably earn him another shot, while basically telling Styles the same thing. Which leaves Brian Cage. Drake says Cage is an impressive competitor, a former Impact World Champion like himself. He would love to test himself against The Machine, and tells Billy Corgan to make it happen.
Back in the arena, it’s time for women’s tag team action, as Laura Dennis teams with Sienna to face Impact Women’s Champion Tessa Blanchard and Alexxiss Bliss. Tully Blanchard is in the corner of Tessa and Bliss for this one. Dennis shows that the vicious side she showed several weeks ago wasn’t a one-off, as she goes hard at the Women’s Champion. As the match goes on, we cut to a camera backstage, where Awesome Kong and Brandi Rhodes are watching the match on a monitor. Commentary speculates about the possible connection between Kong and Rhodes, as Sienna and Dennis have Tessa and Bliss backpedaling. Eventually, the Champion makes her comeback and pins Sienna with a slingshot suplex. After the match, Maria Kanellis and Michael Bennett make their return to Impact, as Maria informs the crowd that she is back and in charge of the women’s division. And her first order of business is to warn Tessa Blanchard that she is just as much under Maria’s supervision as anyone else in the company. And since she, and ONLY SHE, makes the matches, she is booking Tessa to defend her Impact Women’s Championship next week against the same three women she just competed with. Tessa shouts back at Maria, before Sienna blasts her with a big boot! Sienna stands over the Champion, spewing trash talk, before Laura Dennis takes down her own partner with a spear! Laura grabs her own hair and screams maniacally, before, Bliss hits a kick to the side of the head, then Twisted Bliss off the top rope! Alexxiss stands tall, even picking up the Women’s Championship, as Maria just grins.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is standing by with Orange Cassidy. Cassidy leans against the wall, sunglasses covering his eyes, hands in his pockets. Borash asks him about being a part of the NWA. “Cool.” What about your recent issues with Marty Scurll? “He’s a tool.” Do you have anything else to say to him? “I’m gonna beat him? Or whatever.” Borash shrugs as Cassidy walks off.
Up next, Bobby Roode is waiting in the ring for the arrival of EC3. Commentary briefly touches on how Roode hasn’t played much of a role in any of the title pictures in Impact, but also put over how a win against EC3 could change that. EC3 is accompanied by Dixie Carter and Rockstar Spud. The match is a very slow-paced affair, as many Roode matches tend to be. EC3 plays Bobby’s game for a while, with much of the match taking place on the mat. But once EC3 decides to kick it up, Roode has no defense against the hard-hitting offense, with EC3 scoring an emphatic win with the One Percenter. After the match, as Dixe and Spud play cheerleaders in the background, EC3 warns AJ Styles about trying to step in front of him. Styles comes out and runs down EC3, asking where he’d be if his aunt wasn’t an executive in the company. Dixie chimes in that she made AJ Styles a household name, while Styles retorts that if Dixie had her way, he wouldn’t even have a house. He says that he made his own name and he was the one who put Impact on the map when all of her other hires bombed. He goes on to challenge EC3 to a match at Turning Point, saying that this is about more than just Championships, it’s about his legacy in this company. EC3 accepts, and threatens to run AJ out of Impact once and for all…
We get a pretaped promo next, featuring Cody and Dustin Rhodes at their wrestling school. In the ring, Adam Page is working out against some of the students. Dustin puts over how Page is a student of the game and wants to learn. Next week, Impact will play host to the debut of the Natural Nightmares, Dustin Rhodes and Hangman Adam Page, the next World Tag Team Champions. Cody then turns his attention to Nick Aldis, promising that at Turning Point, he will regain his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. He also has words for Trevor Murdoch, who is set to challenge the winner on December 14th at NWA Into the Fire. The Nightmare Family is taking over the NWA and there is nobody who can stop them…
In the ring, Garza Jr. waits as Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his entrance. Hurling insults at the crowd as he enters, MJF just smirks as he lays eyes on his opponent. At the bell, MJF paintbrush’s Garza Jr., then turns his back to pose for the crowd. The boos quickly turn to cheers as Garza Jr. rips off his pants to reveal his ring trunks. MJF looks confused, only to turn around into a dropkick from Garza. Rolling out of the ring to regroup, Friedman heckles some fans in the front row, before getting taken out with a diving senton from Garza. Garza rolls him back in the ring, but only gets a two-count on his pin attempt. MJF soon takes control of the match and finishes Garza Jr. off with the Heatseeker elevated piledriver, then the Salt of the Earth for the tap-out win. Friedman acts like the match was no sweat, wiping his feet near Garza Jr’s face, then jogging up the ramp, to a chorus of boos.
Last week on Impact, Dr. Britt Baker DMD cheated her way to victory over Rosemary. We get a video showing Rosemary, who warns Baker of the consequences of her actions, promising that this is far from over…
Next week on NWA Impact Wrestling, Tessa Blanchard defends the Impact Women’s Championship against Laura Dennis, Sienna and Alexxiss Bliss; The Natural Nightmares of Dustin Rhodes and Hangman Adam Page will make their debut as a tag team; Impact World Champion Austin Aries has something to say; Marty Scurll will take on former NWA World Champion Tim Storm; Rey Fenix will battle Frankie Kazarian; AJ Styles takes on Rockstar Spud; we will hear from Dr. Britt Baker DMD; and this Tuesday on NWA Powerr, James Storm defends the NWA National Heavyweight Championship against Douglas Williams; Trevor Murdoch will be in action; Shawn Spears faces Rhino; and The Wolves will take on OVE.
It’s main event time, as Jon Moxley, the winner of the Call Your Shot Battle Royal, goes one-on-one with Samoa Joe, the last man eliminated in that match. This less resembles a wrestling match as it does a fight, with liberal brawling outside the ring. Joe tries to use his size to keep Moxley on the mat, but Mox fights from underneath and soon has Joe on the ropes. Joe misses a clothesline, which leads Mox right into the King Kong lariat, which fells the big man for a nearfall. After some more fighting, Joe makes his comeback and gets Mox down in the corner. Facewash by Joe, then a running knee. Joe lifts Mox up onto the top turnbuckle, but as he tries to hook him for the Muscle Buster, Mox punches and kicks him away. Mox climbs down, then rocks Joe with a big headbutt, before hitting the Paradigm Shift for the win! Mox stands tall as Impact comes to a close this week.
Quick Results SCU def. LAX Tessa Blanchard and Alexxiss Bliss def. Sienna and Laura Dennis EC3 def. Bobby Roode Maxwell Jacob Friedman def. Garza Jr. Jon Moxley def. Samoa Joe

WWE – October 2019 Recap Heading into Crown Jewel on October 31st, the big stories are the crossover feuds between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez, and Braun Strowman and Undisputed Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Tyson Fury. Velasquez will have Rey Mysterio in his corner for his match with Lesnar, after Lesnar put a beating on Rey’s son, Dominick. As for Strowman and Fury, their feud began with the two taunting one another on the October 4th Smackdown. Both matches are considered featured attractions for the Saudi Arabian crowd.
Another special attraction concerns the Smackdown Tag Team Championship, as The Undertaker and Roman Reigns are set to defend the gold at Crown Jewel in a gauntlet match against teams from both Raw and Smackdown. Confirmed for the match are The Hardys, The Revival, The Street Profits, Heavy Machinery, and more.
The Raw Tag Team Championship will be contested between The Good Brothers, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, and The Viking Raiders. Since debuting on the main roster, Erik and Ivar have made their intentions of winning Tag Team gold known. After winning a four-way match to earn the opportunity, we can expect a fight in Saudi Arabia.
The new WWE Champion, Kenny Omega, cashed in his Money in the Bank on an unsuspecting Kofi Kingston on October 4th. In Saudi Arabia, Kofi gets his rematch for the title. And in another Championship rematch, The Fiend will take on Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship, in a Falls Count Anywhere match, which cannot be stopped for any reason. Since Hell in a Cell, Seth has been displaying a new attitude, shunning the fans who he claims turned on him. As for The Fiend, he’s been engaged in a strange mind games battle with Daniel Bryan on Smackdown, as Bryan claims to not believe in monsters. Bray Wyatt has been warning Daniel that he should believe…
Saudi Arabia’s own Mansoor will be in action at Crown Jewel, taking on Omega Club’s Mustafa Ali; Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable will defend the gold against former Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak; and in a last minute addition to the card, Natalya will face Lacey Evans in the first-ever women’s match to ever take place in Saudi Arabia.

WWE Crown Jewel, October 31st, 2019 Opening Crown Jewel is the WWE Intercontinental Championship match between Chad Gable and Drew Gulak. Gulak starts off by cutting a promo, saying that he and Gable would make a great tag team. And they can skip the formality of having a match, if Gable just lays down and lets Gulak become the Champion. Gable refuses and the match begins. Gulak liberally bends the rules, but Gable rallies back, thanks to the support of the crowd, and locks in the Ankle Lock to retain the title.
Up next, Brock Lesnar battles Cain Velasquez, with Rey Mysterio in his corner. The match is short, with Cain getting a few hope spots, but ultimately falling to “The Beast”. After the match, Brock once again attacks Mysterio, leaving him a broken mess in the middle of the ring.
Up next, it’s time for the 10 Team Gauntlet for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship. The Champs come out first, followed by Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, The Major Broskis. Ryder and Hawkins unfortunately don’t get to put up much of a fight, as a Superman Punch, then a Chokeslam, puts Hawkins away. Out next are Lucha House Party, who briefly take over with their three-on-two tactics, before Roman defeats Kalisto with a Spear. Erick Rowan then comes out, alongside his old partner, Luke Harper. The two take the fight to Undertaker and Reigns, but ultimately, a Tombstone puts Harper away. But after the bell, Harper and Rowan lay out Reigns and Undertaker, allowing the fifth team, Andrade “Cien” Almas and Humberto Carrillo to score an easy pin on Reigns, guaranteeing new Champions. Aleister Black and Ricochet are next and they continue their rivalry with Almas and Carrillo, but Andrade ultimately pins Ricochet with a handful of tights. The Street Profits are out next and thanks to Black returning to distract Andrade, Montez Ford pins Carrillo to eliminate them. The Revival then come out and from here, they run the table, eliminating The Street Profits, Heavy Machinery, and ultimately, The Hardys, to capture the titles.
Mansoor takes on Mustafa Ali in the next match. Ali is representing Omega Club, but since dropping the Intercontinental Championship, he’s been on thin ice. Meanwhile, Mansoor is the hometown hero in Saudi Arabia. After a competitive, back and forth contest, Mansoor gets the win. After the match, Kenny Omega, Eric Young and The Good Brothers lay out Ali in the middle of the ring, ending his run with Omega Club.
Tyson Fury battles Braun Strowman next. Strowman puts up a good fight, but in the end, Fury continues to be undefeated with a victory over “The Monster Among Men”. Afterwards, Fury offers a handshake, but Strowman lays him out with Powerslam.
The Good Brothers defend the Raw Tag Team Championship against The Viking Raiders. After earlier kicking Ali out of Omega Club, Gallows and Anderson have a noticeable chip on their shoulders. That chip ends up being their undoing, as Ivar and Erik put Gallows down with the Viking Experience to capture the gold.
Lacey Evans and Natalya meet in the first-ever women’s match in Saudi Arabia. The match is standard fare, but the crowd eats it up. Natalya gets the win following a Sharpshooter, but the two women shake hands after the match, in a show of respect and unity for all women.
Kenny Omega defends the WWE Championship against Kofi Kingston. With more time to prepare, Kofi takes the fight to Omega, scoring a number of nearfalls on the Champ. Ultimately, Omega rallies and hits the One Winged Angel on Kingston to retain.
Finally, in the main event, Seth Rollins defends the WWE Universal Championship against The Fiend in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Like last time, The Fiend shows a propensity for being able to take a lot of punishment and still kick out. Seth gets visibly frustrated as the match goes one, screaming at the fans to shut up when they start cheering for The Fiend over him. His inability to focus is his ultimate undoing, as The Fiend finally puts him away with a Sister Abigail through a table in the aisle, capturing the Universal Championship.
Quick Results WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable def. Drew Gulak to retain Brock Lesnar def. - November 1st, 2019: Following WWE’s Crown Jewel event, the plane carrying the majority of the talent is delayed on the tarmac, owing to what is called a “mechanical issue”. However, reports come out that the plane was stopped intentionally by the Saudi Crown Prince, in retaliation for WWE cutting the feed to the show in the country, which in turn was in retaliation for the country withholding payment for previous shows. Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn and about a dozen others had already left in private jets, leaving the talent to fend for themselves. Among the wrestlers who are very vocal in the wake of the situation are Kenny Omega, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder, Mustafa Ali, Luke Harper, Big E, and Drew Gulak.
Due to the delays, Smackdown has to be rewritten to feature talent who did not attend Crown Jewel, in particular, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Daniel Bryan, The Miz and the NXT roster, who “invade” the show, as the beginning of the build to Survivor Series later in the month.
- November 2nd, 2019: The WWE wrestlers return home from Saudi Arabia. Kenny Omega demands a meeting with Vince McMahon before Raw on Monday. Early reports state that the roster is furious with management for leaving them behind.
- November 4th, 2019: Kenny Omega organizes a talent meeting with Vince McMahon in the wake of the Crown Jewel flight delay incident. Coming out of the meeting, Luke Harper is granted his release. In addition, The Revival reportedly give their notice. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are reported to be taking a more hands on role with talent relations in the wake of the incident.
- November 5th, 2019: Kenny Omega is officially named as a member of WWE Creative, along with Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. However, Vince McMahon will still have final say on what makes the air, making many hesitant to get too excited…

Ring of Honor Wrestling, November 5th, 2019 We kick off this week with the ten team Eliminator Gauntlet to determine the number one contenders for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Best Friends, by virtue of losing to Dark Order last week, enter first, squaring off against The Dawgs. After a quick, three minute match, Trent pins Rhett Titus to move on. In next are The Kingdom, who last slightly longer, but again, Trent pins Matt Taven. Team number four, Jack Evans and Angelico, provide Best Friends with their first serious challenge.
Evans and Angelico keep the Best Friends on their toes as they utilize the high-flying style that made them so popular in Mexico. After a nearly fifteen minute contest, Chuckie T pins Evans after an Awful Waffle, but he and Trent are spent. In comes team number five, Tracey “Hot Sauce” Williams and “The Darewolf” PJ Black, representing The Lifeblood. With Trent and Chuckie T. exhausted after going through three teams, they put up a good fight anyway, and Trent manages to pin Williams with a roll-up! Best Friends have now been in the ring for almost half an hour, as Private Party enters. Isaiah Kassidy and Marq Quen take advantage of the opportunity afforded to them, showcasing their unique style of double team tactics. In the end, it’s Trent who hits the Strong Zero to advance.
Rich Swann and AR Fox dance and strut their way to the ring, respectively. As the seventh team and currently, the freshest team, there’s a smugness to the usually well-liked tandem, who are pelted with boos, as the crowd is firmly behind Best Friends at this stage. Fox and Swann have fun with the exhausted Trent and Chuckie T, but when they stop to showboat one time too many, Chuckie hits Sole Food to advance the Best Friends! Out at number eight are The Horror’s Sami Callihan and Madman Fulton. Trent and Chuckie back into the corner, literally having to hold each other up. After forty minutes, the pair is slumping over, but as their opponents enter, Trent and Chuckie give them the “bring it on” gesture as Sami and Fulton charge. Unfortunately for Best Friends, the fresh Horror pair is simply too much for them and after just over forty minutes, Callihan pins Trent to end Best Friends’ amazing run. The crowd gives Trent and Chuckie a standing ovation, however, as Dragon Lee and RUSH make their way to the ring.
The brothers from Mexico take the fight to Sami and Fulton, but to no avail, as Sami pins Dragon Lee, much to RUSH’s frustration. Finally, it’s down to The Horror, and the team that earned the final spot in the gauntlet, Dark Order. With just over twelve minutes of TV time remaining, The Creepers surround the ring. Uno and Grayson take the fight to Callihan and Fulton, with a Fatality nearly ending it, had Callihan not broken up the pin. But with The Creepers causing distractions at every turn, the result appears academic, before Joe Doering and Brody King run out. As their Horror teammates fight off the Dark Order’s henchmen, Callihan and Fulton hit a variation of the Doomsday Device on Grayson, Callihan lifting him for a Powerbomb, then a diving elbow from Fulton sends him crashing to the mat. The Horror win, earning a title shot this Saturday against The Young Bucks!
As Callihan and Fulton celebrate, however, The DisHonored swarm the ring, attacking both men. Kevin Steen hits a pop-up Powerbomb on Fulton, while The Young Bucks fell Callihan with a Superkick Party. The Tag Team Champions stand tall over The Horror to end this week’s episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, but not before Ian Riccaboni and Taz remind the viewers to tune in to Dark this Friday for information about this Saturday’s Full Gear PPV event!

NWA Impact Wrestling, November 6th, 2019 Impact kicks off this week with AJ Styles taking on Rockstar Spud. Spud has EC3 and Dixie Carter in his corner. EC3 shouts orders at Spud, while Dixie tries to cheer him on. While Spud gets some offense in, Styles ultimately gets the win after hitting the Phenomenal Forearm. After the match, as Dixie checks on Spud, EC3 attacks Styles from behind. After hitting the One Percenter, EC3 stands over AJ, as Dixie applauds her nephew.
We cut to Jeremy Borash backstage with Brandi Rhodes and Awesome Kong. Brandi introduces Kong as the newest member of the Nightmare Family. Kong returned at Bound For Glory and has her sights set on the Impact Women’s Championship. Brandi lays out the challenge, Kong vs. the winner of tonight’s main event match.
In the ring, Tim Storm is waiting for the arrival of Marty Scurll. Before the bell, Storm offers a handshake to Scurll, who kicks his hand away. The two lockup, with Scurll taking Storm to the mat with an arm drag. As the match wears on, Orange Cassidy saunters down the aisle, distracting Scurll. Storm takes advantage and rolls up Scurll for a two-count. Scurll is able to rally back and hits the Black Plague to get the win. After the match, Cassidy rolls in the ring and taunts Scurll by placing his hands in his pockets. Scurll goes for a clothesline, but Cassidy ducks, then dropkick’s “The Villain”, knocking him through the ropes to the outside. The crowd cheers as Scurll backs up the ramp in a daze, while Cassidy gives a halfway thumbs up to the fans.
We get a segment entitled “The Ten Pounds of Gold”, featuring NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, alongside his wife, Mickie James. The two are walking through Aldis’ home, making their way to the gym, where Aldis’ long-time friend, Bram, is waiting. Bram and Aldis bury the hatchet, as Bram is there to help Aldis train for his match with Cody. After a training montage, Bram warns Cody that Aldis is more than ready for him…
In the arena, Austin Aries has commandeered the ring, with a steel chair and a mic. Sitting in the center of the ring, Aries warns that he won’t be leaving until he’s been heard. He talks about how the Impact World Championship has somehow been lost in the shuffle. The NWA World Title, the X Division, the Tag Titles and the Women’s Title are all considered more valuable than his belt. He considers that an insult to “The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived”. So he is issuing an open challenge for the title, whoever wants a shot can come out and face him man-to-man. This brings out Jon Moxley, who won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound For Glory. He and Aries go face-to-face, with Mox telling Aries that he never dropped off of his radar. He wants the gold and if Aries wants a fight, he has a solution. But from behind, Bobby Roode attacks Moxley! Roode drills him with a Roode Bomb, then grabs the mic and tells Aries he’ll see him at Turning Point, if he has the balls to defend the belt against him. Aries retorts that he never had a problem defending the gold, only for Roode to reveal to the crowd that he’s been challenging Aries since the summer, only to be ignored. Aries slaps Roode, then tells him their match is on.
It’s time for the next match of the night, as SCU’s Frankie Kazarian, accompanied by Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky, takes on one half of the Impact World Tag Team Champions, Rey Fenix, who has his brother and tag team partner, Penta El Zero Miedo, in his corner. Kazarian tries to ground Fenix in the early going, being well aware of what the highflier can do if allowed to leave his feet. Daniels and Sky antagonize the crowd, and Penta, with their antics at ringside. Eventually, Fenix is able to build momentum and sends Kazarian to the outside, where Fenix then dives over the top onto him and his cohorts. The crowd quickly rallies behind Fenix, but SCU’s shenanigans prove to be too much, as Sky distracts the ref and Penta, allowing Daniels and Kazarian to hit a double superkick to Fenix for the win. On commentary, Josh Mathews points out that the two teams will collide for the Impact World Tag Team Championship at Turning Point.
Tony Schiavone is standing in the aisle as he introduces his guest, Dr. Britt Baker DMD. Britt walks out to a chorus of boos from the crowd as she kisses Tony on the cheek. She thanks him for taking the time to interview her, because she wants to address Rosemary. Last week, Rosemary said her’s and Britt’s business wasn’t finished, but by Britt’s book, she won, so there’s nothing left for them. This brings out Rosemary, who calls Britt a filthy cheater and warns her about drawing out “The Demon”. Britt smirks, saying she doesn’t believe in the supernatural. Rosemary wants one more match with Britt, next week on Impact. Britt says no, but then Maria Kanellis makes her way to the ring. She says that she makes the matches, not Rosemary or Britt. If Rosemary wants this match, she can have it, but to sweeten the pot, it will be a number one contenders match for the Impact Women’s Championship. Britt finally agrees to face Rosemary, promising to finish her once and for all…
The Natural Nightmares, Dustin Rhodes and Hangman Adam Page, are in action next, taking on the team of Chris Peaks and Louis Valle. Rhodes and Hangman show great teamwork in their debut as a team, with Rhodes’ old-school brawling style meshing well with Page’s rugged “cowboy shit” style. Page finishes off Peaks quickly with the Buckshot Lariat, allowing the Natural Nightmares to stand tall.
Jeremy Borash is standing by with Impact X Division Champion Eli Drake and his Turning Point challenger, Brian Cage, who have agreed to no physicality. Cage warns Drake that his days as the X Division Champion are numbered, while Drake refers to Cage as “just a big ol’ dummy! YEAH!” At Turning Point, Drake will not only retain the gold, but prove why he is the MVP of Impact Wrestling…
Next week on NWA Impact Wrestling, Jon Moxley goes one on one with Bobby Roode; Dr. Britt Baker DMD takes on Rosemary in a number one contenders match; Cody will battle Bram; Maxwell Jacob Friedman will be in action; The Lucha Bros will team with LAX to face SCU, Samoa Joe and Low-Ki; Brian Cage takes on “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry; we will hear from NWA World Tag Team Champions Le Sex Gods; and this Tuesday on NWA Powerr, Aaron Stevens battles Mr. Anderson to determine the number one contender for the NWA National Heavyweight Championship; Willie Mack goes one-on-one with Shawn Spears; we will see the debut of the new tag team of Pepper Parks and Andy Williams; and Ricky Starks will take on Robert Anthony.
It’s main event time, as Impact Women’s Champion Tessa Blanchard defends the title against Laura Dennis, Alexxiss Bliss and Sienna in a four-way match. Sienna takes the first third of the match, throwing the smaller Dennis and Bliss around, while keeping Blanchard at bay. Soon enough, it’s Bliss who takes over, using her explosive offense to nearly get the pin on Dennis. Blanchard breaks up several nearfalls, however, then hits the slingshot suplex on Bliss. Dennis breaks it up, then goes on the attack, displaying the meanstreak she’s becoming quite well known for as of late. In the end, Blanchard is able to let her opponents destroy each other, as Bliss hits the Sparkle Splash on Dennis, only to then eat a Powerbomb from Sienna, who turns into a snap DDT from Blanchard to retain! After the match, Maria Kanellis and Michael Bennett make their way down the aisle. Maria applauds Blanchard on her win, before announcing that at Turning Point, Blanchard will face her biggest challenge yet. Awesome Kong then slides into the ring behind Blanchard and drops her with a spinning backfist! She then picks her up, Implant Buster! Kong stands tall as Maria insincerely wishes Blanchard good luck…

Ring of Honor presents Full Gear, November 9th, 2019 ZERO HOUR BUY-IN – QUICK RESULTS Kelly Klein def. Kimber Lee Kenny King def. Shane Taylor
Ian Riccaboni and Taz welcome us to Full Gear, promising a momentous evening. Our opening contest sees The DisHonored’s TJP, PCO and Bandido defend the ROH Trios Championship against Mark Haskins, Tracey Williams and PJ Black, The Lifeblood. Haskins and TJP start the match, trading holds back and forth for a bit, before Williams and PCO tag in. Some nice strong style grappling, as PCO overpowers Williams, to the chagrin of the fans. Finally, we get to see Bandido and Black go at it, as they take turns flying around the ring, garnering a “THIS IS AWESOME” chant from the fans. The match soon settles into a standard trios match format, as The DisHonored isolate Black in their corner for a bit. Eventually, Black gets the hot tag to Haskins as the pace quickens. The Lifeblood seem to have the match in hand after Haskins hits the Cradle to the Grave on TJP, but PCO pulls the referee out of the ring. Bandido comes in and delivers the Spanish Fly to Haskins, then drags TJP on top for The DisHonored to retain.
Will Ferrara makes his way to the ring for our next match. A video plays on screen, showing Darby Allin skateboarding down a long street. We soon realize he’s outside the arena. As he approaches the building, we cut inside, where an usher opens the front door to the building. Darby skates on in and we go back to the arena, as a hard guitar and drum riff kick in. “I Fell” plays and Darby skateboard’s into the arena! The fans cheer the newcomer, while Ferrara and his tag team partner, Rhett Titus, look unimpressed. Darby proceeds to showcase all his signature moves, including torpedoing himself through the ropes at one point, onto The Dawgs. Ferrara briefly gains the advantage, but not for long before Darby mounts a comeback and finally finishes him off with the Coffin Drop for a successful debut victory.
After that, we get a vignette for Rich Swann and AR Fox, who are at a night club. Fox is hitting on a woman, but her boyfriend and his buddies surround him. Together, Fox and Swann fight them off and Fox steals a kiss from the girl before the pair leaves.
In the third match of the evening, it’s Women of Honor tag team action, as Priscilla Kelly and Kris Statlander take on Mandy Leon and Brandi Lauren. Leon and Lauren are making their ROH debuts here, working a primadonna gimmick not unlike The Beautiful People. Statlander’s alien gimmick gets a huge pop from the crowd, while the bizarre Priscilla Kelly even has her own partner weirded out. Before the match, Leon and Lauren take a selfie together, while Kelly chews on an old piece of gum she pulled from the back of her tights. Statlander “boops” Leon’s nose, causing Leon to attack her and kick off the match. For a bit, Statlander takes the brunt of the offense from the heels, while Kelly watches from the apron, looking disinterested in aiding her partner. Eventually, Kelly takes offense to a middle finger from Lauren and tags herself in. After cleaning house, Kelly comes face to face with Statlander, who boops her nose. Unlike Leon, Kelly is receptive, booping Statlander back. Having established a connection, the two take out Leon and Lauren with dives to the outside. Back in the ring, Kelly hits a Bronco Buster on Lauren, then the Mark of the Beast (a double-arm lifting facebuster) to get the win. Statlander and Kelly celebrate after the match.
Kip Sabian vs. Josh Woods is the next match of the night. Woods batters Sabian in the early going, but as Sabian starts to fight his way back, the match takes a very technical style. Penelope Ford tries to distract Woods from ringside, but with little success. Unfortunately for Woods, however, Ford is able to get the attention of the referee, allowing Jimmy Havoc to come through the crowd and low blow him. Sabian then hit’s the Super Badass-er to get the win. Afterwards, Sabian, Havoc and Ford celebrate in the aisle as Woods slaps the mat in frustration. However, he soon notices a Creeper in the front row, holding out a flier. Woods grabs it, reading it and nodding, before ripping off a piece of it and walking to the back. The camera then gets a shot of the flier, revealing it’s an offer to “join Dark Order” and that the piece he ripped off was a phone number to call…
We get another vignette with AR Fox and Rich Swann, this time the two are riding in a convertible, apparently on their way to Full Gear. Fox puts their team over, calling themselves ladies men, smooth hustlers and the best high-flying tag team ROH has to offer. And when they get to Full Gear, they will put the roster on notice…
It’s time for the Women of Honor Championship match, as Mercedes Martinez defends against “Big Momma Pump” Jordynne Grace. The two women hammer each other for much of the early part of the match, using big forearms and chops to inflict damage. Grace uses her superior power game to take the advantage against Martinez, including a big gorilla press slam that sends Martinez to the outside. Grace then wow’s the crowd, as well as Ian and Taz, with a moonsault off the top to the outside onto Martinez! Back in the ring, Grace continues to try and wear Martinez down, until a big discus lariat from the Champion turns the tide. After wearing her opponent down some more, Grace locks in the Butterfly Lock to get the submission win. Afterwards, Champion and challenger shake hands in a show of mutual respect.
Backstage, we see The Horror and The DisHonored preparing in their separate locker rooms for their clashes in the evening’s triple main event. Correspondent Alisha Edwards then interviews PAC, who says he’s the “Bastard” that ROH needs to take the gold off of Adam Cole tonight…
Next up is The Best Friends of Trent and Chuckie T taking on the brother tag team of RUSH and Dragon Lee. The story here is Best Friends wrestled every team involved in the gauntlet match on ROH TV last Tuesday, except for RUSH and Lee. RUSH and his brother are having some friction going into the match, as RUSH felt like his brother was the reason they failed to win the gauntlet match. The fans are firmly behind Best Friends in this one, thanks to their incredible performance last week. RUSH is very aggressive in the early going, dominating Trent, while not allowing his brother to tag in. Eventually, Best Friends are able to mount a comeback, forcing RUSH to tag out. Dragon Lee keeps both Chuckie and Trent on the ropes for a bit, but RUSH, hungry for a win, forces himself back in the match. Unfortunately, this leads to an argument between the brothers, which allows Best Friends to hit a double dropkick, knocking Dragon Lee to the outside, then Trent hit’s Strong Zero on RUSH to get the win.
As Bobby Cruise is preparing to announce the first match of the triple main event, Rich Swann and AR Fox make their way to the ring. The crowd boos as Swann says it would’ve been wrong to run a PPV without the most titillating tag team in Ring of Honor. Fox takes the mic and says nobody can touch them, while challenging any team in the back to try. “MAN UP!” flashes on the video screen as The Briscoes make their return to ROH to a huge ovation. “Dem Boys” charge the ring, getting into a wild brawl with Swann and Fox. Security is out quickly to separate the teams, as Ian and Taz frantically throw to a promo hyping next month’s Final Battle.
Kevin Steen is in a surly mood as he walks to the ring to challenge for the ROH Television Championship. Brody King gets a huge ovation for his entrance, as the conquering hero and reigning Champion. Like their previous encounters, this is a wild melee, with the two men beating the hell out of one another. This time, Steen counters the Gonzo Bomb and hit’s the Pop-Up Powerbomb for a nearfall. With King in a weakened state, Steen takes the time to relish in his expected victory, as he pulls King up for the Package Piledriver. But after taking too long to set it up, King is able to block it, then delivers his own piledriver, a gutwrench variation, to retain the gold.
Next up is the second of the main event trilogy, as The Young Bucks defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship against The Horror’s Sami Callihan and Madman Fulton. The Bucks spend much of the match cutting off Fulton from his partner. In addition, The Bucks have their childhood best friend, Brandon Cutler, in their corner, filming the match and also distracting the referee. On commentary, Ian Riccaboni points out that Cutler isn’t employed by ROH, he’s here as a guest of the Young Bucks. Callihan manages to get at The Bucks at one point, but is restrained by the referee. Callihan finally has enough and attacks Cutler at ringside. The Bucks wave security to the ring and demand Callihan be arrested. Instead, Aubrey Edwards comes out and announces that Cutler is BANNED from Ring of Honor! As The Bucks protest their friend being removed from the arena, Fulton finally makes a legal tag to Callihan. When the Bucks turn around, they both eat big boots from Callihan, before Nick Jackson falls prey to the Cradle Killer, crowning The Horror as two-time ROH World Tag Team Champions.
This week on Ring of Honor Wrestling, The Briscoes make their return to TV as they take on Rich Swann and AR Fox.
Finally, it’s time for the five man elimination match for the ROH World Championship, as Adam Cole defends against PAC, Joe Doering, Colt Cabana and Dalton Castle. The first elimination ends up being Castle, following a Black Arrow from PAC. After some weaving in and out by the other four men, Cole eliminates Doering after a Last Shot. Cabana scores a surprising elimination on PAC, with the Flying Apple and the Superman pin. With two men left, the advantage seems to belong to Cabana, who is riding a wave of “welcome back!” momentum. Another Flying Apple seems to spell the end for Cole, but he shoots his shoulder up at the last second. After another twenty minutes of back and forth between the two, Cole finally puts Cabana away with the Panama Sunrise to retain the gold. After the match, The DisHonored come out to celebrate with Cole. They put the boots to Cabana, as well as Doering, PAC, and Castle. The Horror run out to chase them off and stand tall, holding the Television and Tag Team Championships, while motioning that the DisHonored’s remaining gold will soon belong to them…

- November 11th, 2019: Ring of Honor’s Full Gear PPV is being considered a success within the company. While many fans were skeptical about Adam Cole defeating four opponents in one match (the only four men currently considered to be on the Champion’s level), Tony Khan was very happy during the post-show media scrum. Coming out of the event, Khan has promised developments going forward for The DisHonored, The Horror, Best Friends, Dragon Lee, RUSH, Dark Order and others. Darby Allin is also said to be “a very key role-player in the immediate future”.
As for WWE, it is rumored that Kenny Omega’s power on the creative team extends to influencing other elements, in particular, hiring talent. Kenny has been pushing for WWE to hire Joshi talent for some time and many believe we may get an announcement about a Performance Center session in the near future.
Impact is preparing to hold their Turning Point PPV this coming Saturday night. Headlining the show is an NWA World Championship match between Nick Aldis and Cody. Speculation has run rampant over when Impact and the NWA will finally merge into one blanket company. The NWA currently has two “stand-alone” PPVs on the docket, which will feature their stars and Championships, with angles exclusively featured on NWA Powerr and at events held by their subsidiaries. With Hard Times, scheduled for January 24th, 2020, set to be the final stand-alone event, it’s believed that the full merger of the brands could happen in the spring of 2020.
NJPW has set up its most ambitious main event ever for the two-night WrestleKingdom show on January 4th and 5th. On the 4th, IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada will defend the title against the G1 Climax winner, Kota Ibushi, while IWGP Intercontinental Champion Jay White will face Tetsuya Naito. The winners of those two matches will then face each other for both Championships in the main event of the January 5th show. The Intercontinental Championship has long been considered the equal of the Heavyweight Championship, but this is the first time New Japan has ever toyed with the idea of a unification match.

Ring of Honor Wrestling, November 12th, 2019 Ian Riccaboni and Taz welcome us to Ring of Honor Wrestling as a brawl is happening in the aisle! After the events of Full Gear, The Horror and The DisHonored are in a struggle to control all the gold in ROH. Both stables are going at it as we come on the air, with security and Aubrey Edwards trying to get in the middle of it all. Finally, Aubrey grabs the mic and orders everyone to stop, lest Championships be stripped and suspensions handed out. Aubrey cuts to the chase, Tony Khan has given her full authority to make matches in ROH, among her other duties. So tonight, she is signing a one-on-one match for the ROH World Championship, pitting Adam Cole against Joe Doering. But seeing how tired she is of seeing The Horror and The DisHonored tear this company down around them, she is ordering a match for next week, a four-on-four steel cage war, between The Horror and The DisHonored, with the losing stable being forced to disband! She will not allow this faction war to destroy ROH, so next week, it ends, right here on AXS TV!
After that, we go to the back, where Alisha Edwards is interviewing Mandy Leon and Brandi Lauren. She asks them about their loss at Full Gear, but Leon brushes it off, saying it doesn’t matter. Wins and losses don’t matter, because the cream rises to the top, and the sexier the cream, the quicker the rise. Lauren says that while they may have been on the wrong side of their first outing as a team, they enjoyed working together, so going forward, they will be called The Allure, and pretty soon, everyone will remember their names.
Our opening contest pits Rich Swann and AR Fox against the returning Briscoes. Jay and Mark fight their way through Swann and Fox for a bit, until the highfliers begin to pick up speed and momentum. Swann gets a nearfall off of a meteora, but The Briscoes begin to fight back. Hard German suplexes to both men by The Briscoes, then a series of clotheslines, eventually sending Fox to the outside. Swann alone with both brothers, the Spike J Driller gets it done! After the match, Jay and Mark grab the mic and warn The Horror that they want the Tag Team Championship…
A vignette airs for Darby Allin, showing highlights from his match at Full Gear. He then cuts a short promo, issuing an open challenge for this Friday on DARK.
Backstage, Alisha Edwards is with Team SuperBad, Kip Sabian, Jimmy Havoc and Penelope Ford. Sabian says that he knew he needed help to avoid getting lost in the shuffle in ROH. Jimmy Havoc is not only one of his closest friends, but is also his roommate, so he was a natural first choice when you’re building a stable. But there will be more and soon, Ring of Honor will know what it means to be SuperBad.
In the ring, Bea Priestley waits as Kimber Lee makes her entrance. Kimber was unsuccessful on the Zero Hour Buy-In at Full Gear, while Priestley wasn’t even on the card, so both women have something to prove tonight. The two lock up and jockey for position. Eventually, Kimber Lee uses her size advantage to overpower Bea. For several minutes, Kimber holds Priestley at bay, until Bea begins to mount a comeback. After some elbow strikes, then a jumping knee to the face, Bea puts Kimber away, then celebrates to the fans’ applause.
Alisha Edwards is backstage with The Best Friends. After an amazing effort last week in the gauntlet match, as well as a huge win over RUSH and Dragon Lee at Full Gear, Alisha informs Trent and Chuckie T that next week, they will take on Dark Order in a number one contenders match, with the winners challenging The Horror the following week for the gold.
It’s main event time, as Adam Cole defends the ROH World Championship against Joe Doering. Aubrey Edwards is the referee for the match, so the crowd anticipates a title change. Before the bell can sound, Aubrey orders all members of The DisHonored and The Horror to the back, keeping the match one-on-one. Doering gets several nearfalls on Cole through the duration of the match, but the crowd deflates when Cole manages to pin Doering clean in the middle of the ring after a Panama Sunrise. After the match, Cole gets on the mic and says he’s beaten everyone there is to beat. Dragon Lee then comes out, quickly followed by RUSH. The two brothers almost seem to be at odds over who will challenge Cole, but Aubrey takes the opportunity to announce that it looks like we have our title match for Final Battle…

NWA Impact Wrestling, November 13th, 2019 We open cold this week as Billy Corgan is walking down a hall backstage. Jon Moxley suddenly steps in front of him, causing Corgan to nearly fall over. Mox says he wants Roode, he wants Aries, and he wants the Impact World Title. Corgan reminds him that he’s facing Roode tonight, and if he wants Aries and the title, he has to call his shot. Mox looks at Corgan, who gestures towards Mox’s pocket. Mox pulls out the “Call Your Shot” contract. After mulling it over, he hands it to Corgan and says that Saturday, he’s going to kill Aries. Corgan reminds him that Roode is in the match, too. Mox asks if he still has Roode tonight. When Corgan says yes, Mox replies that he might not make it to Saturday…
The intro plays and we are LIVE in the arena! SCU, Samoa Joe and Low-Ki are making their way to the ring for the opening contest, as they will take on The Lucha Bros and LAX. SCU are challenging The Lucha Bros this Saturday night at Turning Point for the Impact World Tag Team Championship. Two stories are present in this match, first and foremost being SCU’s attempts to stay a step ahead of The Lucha Bros. The second story is LAX and Joe and Low-Ki, two hard-hitting brawling tandems, having brief moments of interaction throughout the contest. In the end, it’s Daniels who gets the win after hitting the Angel’s Wings on Penta El Zero M.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Marty Scurll. Scurll says he’s sick and tired of dealing with Orange Cassidy and his “inane and quite frankly, very distracting shenanigans”. He wants to settle the score once and for all, so at Turning Point, he challenges Cassidy to a one-on-one match. Cassidy suddenly appears from just off camera, flashes a halfway thumbs up, then leaves. Borash says it looks like the match is set.
Next, we have Brian Cage taking on “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry in singles action. Eli Drake joins Josh Mathews and Matt Striker on commentary, as Tony Schiavone is preparing for an interview following this match. Perry puts up a valiant effort, but is unable to leave much of a scratch on “The Machine”. Drake is asked about how he can possibly prepare for an opponent like Cage, to which Drake says that every man has his weakness. Striker inquires what about a man who’s a machine? As he asks this, Cage finishes off Perry with the Drill Claw for an emphatic victory. Drake stares down the aisle at his challenger for this Saturday, neither answering Striker’s question, nor showing any signs of doubt…
After a commercial break, Tony Schiavone is standing in the aisle, as he welcomes the Impact Women’s Champion Tessa Blanchard to the show. Tessa enters to a decent ovation as she has the title draped over her shoulder. Tony asks her about her upcoming match against Awesome Kong at Turning Point. Tessa admits she wasn’t prepared for an opponent of Kong’s size and strength, which leads to Tully Blanchard walking out to join his daughter and Tony. Tully scolds Tessa for not being prepared and tells her that a true Champion is ready for anyone at any time. With that, he yells at her to come backstage with him, because they need to form a game plan…
Next, Bram makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Mickie James and Nick Aldis. Cody is out next, flanked by Dustin and Brandi Rhodes. The match is more or less thrown out after five minutes, due to interference by all four outside participants. A big brawl ensues, with The Nightmare Family surprisingly getting the better of the NWA Worlds Champion and his allies. Cody holds up the “ten pounds of gold”, signaling that he will be reclaiming it at Turning Point…
A pre-taped promo airs, as Le Sex Gods are relaxing in a jacuzzi, enjoying “a little bit of the bubbly”. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara make light of their upcoming challengers for the NWA Tag Team Championship, Reno S.C.U.M., pretending to forget their names. Jericho eventually concedes that while Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend, as former Impact Tag Team Champions, are deserving challengers, there’s a team in Impact currently that he feels deserves a title shot. So next week on Impact, Le Sex Gods are laying down the challenge to LAX for an NWA World Tag Team Championship match!
It’s time for the Number One Contenders Match between Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Rosemary, to decide who will face the winner of this Sunday’s match between Tessa Blanchard and Awesome Kong. Baker spends the early part of the match on the run, as Rosemary attempts to maul the dentist-by-day. Eventually, Baker takes the advantage over Rosemary, after sidestepping a charge and sending her careening into the steel steps. In the ring, Baker works over Rosemary, hoping to get her in her signature hold, the Lockjaw. Rosemary fights back, however, eventually hitting a package piledriver which earns her the three-count over the not-so-good doctor.
A hype video airs, featuring talking heads (Josh Mathews, Matt Striker, Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle and Christian Cage) compare the career trajectories of both men, from their time as Impact World Champion and respective reigns with the X Division and Tag Team Championships. At Turning Point, we will see the first one-on-one match between these two in nearly four years…
Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his way to the ring, where Jon Cruz is waiting. MJF clearly isn’t being paid by the hour here, as he makes quick work of Cruz, the match lasting just over a minute. MJF then grabs the mic, asking if this is the best Impact and the NWA can offer him? He demands a match against “a quality opponent, not some ham-and-egg eating j-bron” next week on Impact…
Backstage, Tully Blanchard is reviewing his game plan with Tessa, when Awesome Kong and Brandi Rhodes bust in. Brandie kicks Tully between the legs, as Kong and Tessa trade punches. They fight out of the locker room and down the corridor backstage, eventually ending up in the arena. They fight their way through the crowd and into the ringside area. Tessa manages to whip into the crowd barricade, then goes under the ring for a table. She grabs Kong, but Kong fights her off, then Awesome Bomb’s her through the table! Kong stands over Tessa, daring her to show up at Turning Point…
This Saturday, Impact presents Turning Point, featuring NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis facing “The American Nightmare” Cody; Impact World Champion Austin Aries defends against Bobby Roode and Jon Moxley, who has called his shot; AJ Styles battles EC3; The Lucha Bros defend the Impact World Tag Team Championship against SCU; Tessa Blanchard and Awesome Kong do battle for the Impact Women’s Championship; Eli Drake defends the Impact X Division Championship against Brian Cage; and Orange Cassidy battles Marty Scurll. Then, this Tuesday on NWA Powerr, Ricky Starks takes on Laredo Kid; Reno S.C.U.M. will be in action; Alexxiss Bliss battles Sienna; and Willie Mack goes one on one with Mr. Anderson. And next week on NWA Impact Wrestling, Le Sex Gods will defend the NWA World Tag Team Championship against LAX, and MJF will be in action!
It’s main event time, as Jon Moxley takes on Bobby Roode. For about ten minutes, the two men hammer each other and exchange “strong style” moves, until Austin Aries, in a suit, the Impact World Championship strapped around his waist, makes his way down the aisle. Mox is the first to notice him and rolls out of the ring to go after the Champ. Unfortunately, he breaks the cardinal rule of wrestling by giving his opponent his back. Roode attacks Moxley from behind and pummels him right in front of a bemused Aries. Roode rolls Mox back in the ring, but Aries grabs him by the shoulder and spins him around. Roode shoves Aries to the ground, then rolls back in the ring, only to be caught with a boot to the gut, then the Paradigm Shift, giving Moxley the win! As Mox celebrates, Aries enters the ring and leans over Roode, shouting at him. Mox goes after Aries, who bails, Mox only managing to grab his jacket. Roode tries to cheap shot Moxley, but Mox turns around, causing Roode to also bail. Impact ends with former tag team partners Aries and Roode both backing up the aisle, as an angry and determined Jon Moxley stands in the ring, daring them both to come get some…

Word has gotten out that Billy Corgan and Cody Rhodes have applied for several expired WWE Trademarks, including old pay-per-view names such as Slamboree, Spring Stampede, Battlebowl, Bash at the Beach and SuperBrawl. As well, they have applied to trademark “The Match Beyond”, “Bunkhouse Stampede” and Cody personally has applied for the trademark to “Cody Rhodes”.
Many were surprised to see Michael Nakazawa appear on NXT this past week. It seems as though Kenny Omega’s influence continues to grow, as Nakazawa is a long-time friend of his, even teaming together in Japan’s DDT promotion. We reported last week about Omega trying to get Joshi talent signed and this just lends more credence to that rumor.
This past week on Ring of Honor Wrestling, it was announced that there will be a match next week between The DisHonored and The Horror, with the losing team being forced to break up. After the announcement, there were many questions, primarily “why is Tony Khan breaking up one of the stables so soon?” and “why do this match on free TV?” The answer to the first question is still unknown, although many believe it could be a swerve of some kind and that both stables will live on. The answer to the second question, however, is that Tony Khan does not wish to live and die by PPV numbers and sees TV ratings as key to ROH’s success. By presenting big moments on TV, such as Brody King winning the TV Title, the gauntlet match, and the pseudo-War Games match, ROH becomes a can’t-miss product, where viewers feel like they have to tune in so as not to miss key developments.

NWA Impact Wrestling presents Turning Point, November 16th, 2019 Tony Schiavone, Josh Mathews and Matt Striker welcome us to Turning Point, live from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. We kick off with Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian of SCU making their way to the ring, accompanied by Scorpio Sky. The Impact World Tag Team Championship is on the line as The Lucha Bros are out next. Daniels and Kazarian do their best to keep Rey Fenix grounded in the early going, while Penta El Zero M tries to rally the crowd behind his brother. Eventually, Fenix is able to make a tag to his brother. Penta’s hard hitting offense keeps Kazarian and Daniels at bay for a bit, until Scorpio Sky trips him behind the referee’s back. SCU work over Penta for the next several minutes, until a desperation enzugiri to Kazarian allows him to make the tag to Fenix. Fenix comes in and takes down Kazarian, then Daniels with dropkicks, knocking both men to the outside. Fenix then dives onto all three members of SCU! He rolls Daniels back in, Penta tags in, then he tags Fenix back in, LB Driver! The Lucha Bros retain their gold in a hard fought contest!
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Rosemary and The Decay. Borash talks up Rosemary becoming the new number one contender for the Impact Women’s Championship, and asks her if she has a preference of winner tonight. Rosemary says it doesn’t matter who wins, because she will take back her title and Impact will suffer from The Decay…
Up next, it’s a grudge match between Orange Cassidy and Marty Scurll. Since making his Impact debut, Cassidy has been a thorn in Scurll’s side and “The Villain” has had enough of Cassidy’s fan-pleasing antics. Cassidy tries to start the match with his hands in his pockets, but Scurll nails him with a punch to the face, then begins hammering away on Cassidy. Scurll controls the early part of the match, laying a beating on Cassidy. Eventually, Scurll misses an elbow drop, giving Cassidy a chance to get back in it. Scurll tries to intercept Cassidy with a suplex, but Cassidy blocks it and hits a suplex of his own! Cassidy takes the fight to Scurll, sending him into the corner, then hitting a running splash. Scurll staggers right into a Beach Break, Cassidy wins!
The newest member of the Impact broadcast team, Melissa Santos, is backstage with EC3, Dixie Carter and Rockstar Spud. EC3 puts over how important his match tonight with AJ Styles is, saying that if he wins, he’s back in the conversation for a title shot. Dixie puts over EC3, saying that unlike AJ, he’s never bitten the hand that feeds him. Tonight, he will prove why he’s the true face Impact Wrestling…
Up next, it’s the Impact Women’s Championship match, as Tessa Blanchard, accompanied by her dad, Tully, defends against Awesome Kong, who’s accompanied by Brandi Rhodes. Tessa starts out with a flurry of offense directed at Kong, who is rocked in the early going by the Champion’s unexpected blitz. But the Champion’s offense is short-lived, when Kong moves of the way of a running clothesline in the corner, then hits a backfist, knocking Tessa to the mat. Kong takes over the offense, delivering a series of high impact slams and strikes. At ringside, Tully tries to rally his daughter, but Kong reaches over the ropes and drags him into the ring. She sets him up for a backfist, but Tessa delivers a running knee to Kong’s back! Tessa with some stiff forearm strikes, then she manages to lift Kong for the Slingshot Suplex to retain.
Jeremy Borash interview’s AJ Styles backstage about his match with EC3 coming up. AJ says that Dixie likes to downplay his importance to Impact Wrestling history. He says that while EC3 is certainly a cornerstone of the company and could one day be the face of the brand again, AJ’s career isn’t over yet. He says that tonight, EC3 will be his stepping stone to bigger and better things…
It’s time for the X Division Championship match, as Eli Drake defends against “The Machine” Brian Cage. Drake comes firing away right out of the gate, unleashing a flurry of punches on Cage, while not backing down. Cage, however, absorbs that initial assault, then delivers a running clothesline that sends Drake to the mat. While not a small man by any means, Drake is giving up a fair amount of size to Cage. Cage uses that size advantage to overpower Drake in the corner, then choke him with his boot. After several minutes of similar abuse, Cage grabs Drake and goes for the Drill Claw, but Drake grabs the top rope to block it. He punches Cage back, then hit’s a kneelift, before completing the Blunt Force Trauma with a discus lariat for the win! Drake is handed the X Division Championship and celebrates his hard-fought victory.
Backstage, Jon Moxley, Bobby Roode and Austin Aries are seen in separate parts of the arena, preparing for their Impact World Championship match later tonight.
EC3 is accompanied to the ring by Dixie Carter and Rockstar Spud. While Team Dixie are firmly on the heel side of thing currently, the fans cheer EC3 out of respect for the work he’s put in over the last several years, and in particular, his recent run which reinvented the X Division Championship. AJ Styles is out next and as a counterpoint to EC3, he gets something of a negative reaction from the crowd, who haven’t been completely sold on AJ’s latest babyface run. As the two lock up, a noticeable EC3 chant can be heard. Spud, hearing it, starts to egg on the crowd, as EC3 shoots AJ into the ropes. On the rebound, he scoop slam’s the only Grand Slam winner in Impact history*, then poses to a huge reaction. As the match goes on, EC3 begins to work heel again, using restholds to keep AJ grounded. AJ starts to build a bit of crowd support and manages to fight out of a sleeper attempt and deliver a desperation suplex. AJ goes up top for the Spiral Tap, but EC3 gets his knees up. After some more back and forth, the ref gets knocked out. AJ manages to hit the Phenomenal Forearm, but there’s no referee to make the count! Spud runs in and starts kicking and punching AJ, who just stares at him, before grabbing him by the scruff of his neck and tossing him to the outside. EC3 recovers, however, and as Dixie revives the referee, hit’s the One Percenter to pick up the win. The fans applaud the efforts of both men as Team Dixie heads up the ramp, celebrating.
We get back to back interview segments next, as Jeremy Borash interviews Cody, then Melissa Santos interviews Nick Aldis, ahead of tonight’s NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match. Aldis talks about extending his legacy as Champion in his second reign, while Cody vows to regain the gold and continue the NWA’s Nightmare…
The Impact World Championship is on the line in the semi-main event, as Austin Aries defends against his former tag team partner and rival, Bobby Roode, and the winner of the Call Your Shot gauntlet match, Jon Moxley. Aries and Roode work together early on to take Moxley out of the equation for a bit, before turning on one another. After a sizable stretch of Aries vs. Roode, Moxley comes back with a vengeance, laying out both men with chair shots. After drawing blood from Roode, he starts to work over Aries, stretching the Champion and trying to bite and tear at his forehead. Eventually, Roode interjects himself back into the fight, grabbing Moxley and delivering a bone-rattling spinebuster. Cover, but Moxley kicks out. After some more trading off on each other, Moxley is able to connect with the Paradigm Shift on Roode, but Aries throws him out of the ring and steals the pin to retain his title!
This Wednesday on NWA Impact Wrestling, live on TNT, NWA World Tag Team Champions Le Sex Gods defend their gold against LAX; MJF will be in action; Laura Dennis goes one-on-one with Santana Garrett; Rob Van Dam battles Shawn Spears in a Feast or Fired qualifying match; The Motor City Machine Guns return to action, taking on The Natural Nightmares; we will hear from Team Dixie and AJ Styles after their tremendous match earlier tonight; Tessa Blanchard and Rosemary will be face-to-face; and Impact Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will be live in Indianapolis!
It’s time for the main event, a rematch of the Bound For Glory main event between Nick Aldis and Cody. Early in the match, Brandi Rhodes and Mickie James are ejected from ringside after Brandi attempts to interfere and Mickie stops her. With the match now one-on-one, Aldis and Cody go at it for nearly thirty minutes, with neither man able to put the other away. As the match reaches it’s halfway stretch, Cody locks on the Million Dollar Dream sleeper, but Aldis manages to kick off the ropes and get a nearfall on “The American Nightmare”. Another twenty minutes passes and we are nearing the sixty minute time limit. Aldis manages to lock Cody in the Figure Four, but he reaches the ropes. With less than five minutes remaining, Cody begins building momentum, hitting a running kneelift, then a Cody Cutter, which earns a two-count. As the last sixty seconds tick down, Aldis counters a Cody Disaster Kick into a spinebuster, then goes for the King’s Lynn Cloverleaf, but time expires before Cody taps out. The fans are less-than pleased by the non-finish, as Aldis is handed the title. Cody rolls to the outside, gasping for air. Aldis holds up the belt, but it’s clear that nothing was settled here tonight.
The commentators thank us for tuning in to Turning Point, as Josh Mathews plugs Impact this Wednesday on TNT!

- November 17th, 2019: There were many raised eyebrows at the decision to have the NWA World title match at Turning Point go to a time limit draw. The reasoning that came from Billy Corgan and head writer Scott D’Amore is that they see money in a rematch between Aldis and Cody down the line, possibly as a title unification bout. While Austin Aries is the current Impact World Champion, a lot can change by the time the Championship unification happens. Right now, it’s believed that sometime next spring is when Corgan plans to officially merge everything under the NWA banner, as opposed to the current NWA Impact name, although the TV show and Hall of Fame are expected to keep the Impact branding, while the belts become NWA titles.
Speaking of the Impact Hall of Fame, the names we’re hearing being tossed around for the 2020 class include Velvet Sky, Abyss, Bobby Roode, James Storm and – yes, seriously – Ken Shamrock. Kurt Angle, in particular, has been a huge advocate for Shamrock being inducted, as he has long wanted to work a program with “The World’s Most Dangerous Man”.
During Turning Point, it was announced that Feast or Fired would be making it’s return, as Rob Van Dam and Shawn Spears will compete in a qualifying match on Impact this week. This could explain why Jon Moxley cashing in his Call Your Shot prize was rushed after just a month. Once again, there are many questioning running Feast or Fired so soon after the gauntlet, even though the match itself is not set to take place until early January. From what we’ve heard, there were some on the writing team who misunderstood how the gauntlet prize was supposed to work and really wanted to add an air of unpredictability to the current product. Should the gauntlet be run again at next year’s Bound For Glory, it’s expected to have more concrete rules on when the winner gets their title match.
Feast or Fired was last seen in 2016, while there were plans to bring it back in 2017, then 2018, but the timing never seemed right. But with so many names in the conversation as potential main eventers, and the NWA unification looming, it appears that the writing team now believes it’s the right time to bring back the concept. While nothing has been said outright on TV, we would expect the match to be for contracts for the World, Tag Team and X Division titles, as well as one person being fired, possibly in kayfabe, but just as likely for real, as seen in the cases of Shawn Daivari, Chavo Guerrero and Grado. In addition, while the cases did yield title wins for the likes of Petey Williams, Jay Lethal, Homicide, Kevin Nash, Doug Williams, Magnus, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Matt Hardy and Shelton Benjamin, there have been just as many failed cash-ins, particularly for the World Title case, with Scott Steiner, Hernandez and Samoa Joe all failing to capture the gold. In fact, it took four Feast or Fired matches to yield a successful World Title cash-in. It remains to be seen what Impact has in store for this year’s edition of the match…

So, I need to ask anyone who's reading this to just go with me on some upcoming booking choices for Impact. I'm laying the groundwork for future main event angles once Impact fully merges into the NWA. And at least nobody will be able to say I'm not staying true to the legacy of TNA

Ring of Honor Wrestling, November 19th, 2019 The steel cage looms ominously over the ring as Ian Riccaboni and Taz welcome us to Ring of Honor Wrestling. Tonight, the war between The Horror and The DisHonored ends inside that very steel cage, as the losing side will be forced to disband. In addition, we have a number one contenders match for the ROH Tag Team Championship, a rematch as well, between Best Friends and Dark Order. Last time around, Dark Order were victorious, but Best Friends have momentum on their side, after their recent gauntlet match performance. But before we get to all that, Ian announces that we know the main event of Final Battle on December 14th, as Adam Cole will defend the Ring of Honor World Championship against either Dragon Lee or RUSH, as the brothers will go one on one next week in a number one contenders match.
Speaking of number one contenders matches, the tag team contenders match is up first tonight. Dark Order have their Creepers surrounding the ring. Notably, there are three Creepers wearing green masks rather than purple. Uno and Grayson start off in control of the match, with Trent and Chuckie T playing it safe due to the Creepers. Eventually, Trent capitalizes on an error from Uno and makes the tag to Chuckie T, who cleans house on both of his opponents, before Best Friends embrace in the middle of the ring (got to give the people what they want!). One of the green masked Creepers grabs Chuckie T’s leg, however and drags him out into the mass of Creepers. As Dark Order’s cronies beat down Best Friends, the referee throws the match out. Aubrey Edwards, however, quickly comes out and announces that she will not allow this match to end in chaos. The match continues, but The Creepers are barred from ringside. When Dark Order protests, she threatens to disqualify and suspend them. Reluctantly, Uno orders the Creepers to leave. With the playing field now level, it’s not long before Trent hits Strong Zero on Uno to pick up the win and earn Best Friends a title shot against The Horror next week.
Alisha Edwards is backstage with the ROH Women of Honor Champion, Mercedes Martinez. As Mercedes talks about wanting to be a fighting Champion, she’s confronted by Kelly Klein, who challenges her to a match this Friday on DARK. Mercedes accepts, and Klein promises to end her reign before it can truly start…
A vignette airs for Darby Allin, as he issues another challenge, this time for a match on Ring of Honor Wrestling next week…
It’s main event time as the cage lowers from the roof. This match will be contested under Steel Cage Warfare rules, with a new entrant every three minutes. The first two men in are Adam Cole and Sami Callihan. After the first three minute period expires, The DisHonored win the coin toss and Matt Jackson enters the match. Matt and Cole work over Callihan for most of the next period, until Madman Fulton runs in to save his tag team partner. Fulton begins tossing weapons into the cage, including trash cans, kendo sticks and several bags that presumably contain thumbtacks. Fulton and Callihan take control thanks the these weapons, before Nick Jackson enters to return the advantage to the DisHonored. Nick’s contribution is two ladders that he slides into the ring before he enters the cage himself. Using one of the ladders, The Bucks hit More Bang For Your Buck on Fulton, while Cole uses the other ladder to hit a Panama Sunrise on Callihan. Brody King is in next for his team and he cleans house on The Bucks and Adam Cole, giving the Tag Team Champions time to recover. PCO (replacing Kevin Steen, who did not show up to tonight’s event) is the last member of The DisHonored to enter the match. He brings several tables with him, as they use their last one-man advantage period to wear down The Horror. When Joe Doering enters, the door is locked, allowing the match to officially begin.
Doering gets in his shots on each member of The DisHonored, before lining up with his teammates for a big fist swinging donny brook. Eventually, the men pair off (Cole/Doering, King/PCO, Nick/Fulton, Matt/Callihan). The tables are used by Doering to piledrive Cole through, The Bucks to hit a Meltzer Driver on Fulton, Callihan to Powerbomb Nick through, and finally, King to hit the Gonzo Bomb on PCO, which ends up winning the match for The Horror. As the four men celebrate and the cage is raised, reality sets in for Cole and The Bucks, as The DisHonored is no more. Bandido and TJP come out to check on their fallen tag team partner, PCO, but The Bucks and Cole get in their faces. Ring of Honor Wrestling ends with the former members of The DisHonored about to come to blows in the middle of the ring…
Quick Results Best Friends def. Dark Order to become the number one contenders for the ROH Tag Team Championship The Horror (Sami Callihan, Brody King, Madman Fulton and Joe Doering) def. The DisHonored (Adam Cole, The Young Bucks and PCO) in a Steel Cage Warfare Match
