This company sucks, it really does. You have endless amounts of talent constantly coming in, a dude wants out and wants to do the thing he loves, and you do this to him, KNOWING you have ZERO plan on ever using him in any capacity, not just anyone either, a beloved family man and someone I have never heard anyone say a bad word about in the locker room
I really hope John Oliver says more about how shit this company is, more voices and eyes need to be on this shitty behavior, and it can't come soon enough.

If WWE's not going to push him after this (which they likely won't), then it's a waste of time and going to make Harper even more miserable, which would also hurt the locker room morale of others not being used much.

Vince is a sentient garbage pile. Pictured: five minutes before every episode of Raw, after Vince has approved the final script draft.

If we're ever going to see a real challenge to the WWE's treatment of talent, the attempts to keep unhappy workers locked into deals is probably what's going to make that happen.

Yeah, honestly all it'll take is a talent that is willing to take them to court over it, especially if that person is particularly vindictive. Unfortunately I'm not sure if that'll be Luke, even though he really should. Why I almost wish they had tried to pull this with someone like Punk.

He should sit at home, collect his money, stay in good shape, build up goodwill via social media, create a new look and character for himself and he'll be ready to go when the contract is up.

Apparently Harper was scheduled a program with Zayn when he returned but it was dropped before it made it to tv. That was the major reason as to why he decided to leave.

He walked out after having completed his agreed upon number of dates and just waited it out. He also hasn't tried to work for any other major wrestling promotions, so they couldn't get him for trying to go elsewhere.

So as expected, someone in creative told him 'no plans to use you right now' after Harper was under the impression that they had something lined up for him. Typical WWE uselessness.
If they have nothing for him, their stubbornness in keeping him seems even more petty than it did.

Don't sign people you don't want to use to contracts where you won't let them go even when there's nothing for them to do, and be willing to pay them to sit at home on the couch just so someone else can't contract them. The idea you can't quit a job you're not doing is legitimately f***ing bonkers.

Can they even extend his contract like that without his agreement?
