Has Big Show kept the same theme all these years? It's all I've ever heard him come out to. Oh, honest question - Roddy Piper, did he have different themes over the years or was it all the same bagpipe piece for two decades? When did the Freebirds start using Badstreet USA? Hayes had used that song for years through multiple promotions. In '84 while the 'Birds were in New York. They started there with Skynyrd's Free Bird as their theme in their debut, and by the time Hayes was the last one left, he departed with Badstreet USA under his arm. He cut it with Dave Wolfe while they were working together.

Piper has had two major themes that I can recall. www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4wIZ5fuJzk (WWF theme) www.youtube.com/watch?v=87tfIFiBkDk (WCW theme) But then Piper came back to WWE after the buyout of WCW, he seemed to use the WCW theme more often, so that one was more or less used on and off for almost 20 years.

Davey Boy used Hail Brtiannia from 1986-1998 (the WCW version may have been a slightly different mix, but it was still the same song).

Not counting the tag team with Undertaker or one off gags like the Showster, since yeah, that feels like it'd be a separate case, Big Show's had at least 2 versions of the "Wellllllllllllll, It's the Big Show!" theme. The vocals were redone and I think the song was slowed down a bit. It was basically the same thing in spirit, though.

I believe his current theme has been in place since either his ECW run in 2005-6, or when he came back in 2008. It's a different recording than his original WWF/E theme, same lyrics though. I believe Piper's theme was always the same during his original run with the WWF, ending in 1996 before he joined up with WCW. Obviously they then used a different theme. When he came back to the WWE he had a different theme (fairly sure they never again reused his original) and over the years they'd add 1 or 2 others in rotation as well (including, a few times I do believe, his WCW theme).

Yeah the version that he comes out to now was cut for the Wreckless Intent CD I believe

Piper used different pieces in his mid-'80s and '89-'92 runs.

I thought about that too. Even if you discount those four years that's still 25 years of basically the exact same theme on TV. His Ministry theme was a completely different song, too. I don't know if it was completely different. It sounds like a sped up remixed version of his original theme to me.

Couple of notes on some recent posts:
Correct about the two different versions of the Big Show theme. Either way, I'd say there was a break when he used his track from that rap album from 2000 or so.
Davey had a non-Hail Britannia theme when he first came to WCW in 1993, before switching back. Didn't the Bulldogs have some other theme sometime in 1986? I forget.
Piper had a consistent theme when he came back as a face from 1986-87. May have used a different bagpipe tune sometime in between. Don't remember what he used as a heel, but don't recall the '86 theme appearing till, well, '86. 1989 debuted the theme we mostly remember, and that one stuck till his departure in '96. I do think he used the WCW mix of his bagpipes until the end.
Rock's theme has pretty much been the same since late '98. Different arrangements and performances and etc, but the melody's been the same. Started as a reworking of the '98 Nation music indeed. Now, I say late '98 because while Rock was using that song by fall, there was one episode of Raw when he was Corporate Champion and came out to something completely different. I don't think that lasted the whole match, as I want to say he won and they played the theme we all know instead. That might be me Mandelaing though.
I want to mention Sgt. Slaughter using the same music since 1992...though I recall him using Patriot/Angle's music once.

I think Liger has been using the same music since he debuted as Liger Except when he (usually) wrestled in America.

His Ministry theme was a completely different song, too. I don't know if it was completely different. It sounds like a sped up remixed version of his original theme to me. I fail to see any resemblance at all, other than that they both have a gong at the start. The Ministry theme is primarily geared around its electric guitar elements, and neither they nor the more orchestral backing share any melody with the original Taker theme unless I'm really badly missing something.
