Also I really did like how they handled Iron Mans death He didn't say anything else after "I am Iron Man" he was basically gone and had just enough of himself left to see the people in front of him and his spirit finally got put to rest when Pepper told him everything is okay and they will be fine. Especially when Peter was with him, I expected some monologue or last words but the fact he didn’t say anything and left it to Pepper was genuinely touching and meant more to the sacrifice he made. Yea, he didn’t need any more words to be said in regards to a parting shot. It would been easier to have him say goodbye to Cap, Pepper, and Peter but they went the realistic route of having everything just happen and go. The glazed over look in his eyes and just being barely there was surreal

This is what I'm going with, too. This alternate timeline could present alternate changes: - Hydra's infiltration rooted out early means no Winter Soldier and no SHIELD collapse in 2014. That would likely have changes on the events of Agents of SHIELD Season 1 & 2, since there would be no Hydra for Coulson's team to fight. - Howard & Maria Stark not getting killed by Bucky means Civil War's climax does not happen at all. Lots of fun stuff like that. Steve knows Zola had Bucky so once he came into the timeline he could have put a stop to the brainwashing early. After a few years recovery Steve could have had Bucky fighting beside him all those years. Steve knows the truth about Wakanda so he could have gotten relations started earlier, making sure Killmonger is avoided. Also T'Chaka would have lived a long life and died of old age. Really Steve could have turned that timeline into a paradise. Which would probably explain how he got another shield to pass to Sam. Either he was able to acquire vibranium from Wakanda for Howard to manufacture a new shield, or he created such a peaceful timeline that by the time his younger self came out of the ice he didn't need it. I'll go with the former, since there's probably not a lot he could do to prevent Thanos from beginning his quest for the Stones, unless he was somehow able to make contact with Asgard. He'd probably have had to prepare humanity for Thanos' eventual coming, which - based on the fact that he had to travel back in time to return to his own timeline - must have been successful.

Got back from seeing it a second time (not counting the many clips on IG), and I loved it. Wasn't as much of a sensory overload, and you tend to find/appreciate little things once you know how things go. A good example is the bittersweet line by Widow before they go into the past: "see you in a second."

It's very hard to watch still no matter how many times I've watched it(Being an employee at a theatre involves constantly checking auditoriums). Have to say it's going to be weird knowing Stark and Cap won't be in the continued universe of the MCU.

Interested in what happens with Banner too since Natasha is gone and as of right now he’s disabled

Interested in what happens with Banner too since Natasha is gone and as of right now he’s disabled I think Strange is probably one of the few people able to stay detached, with that knowledge. He has been able to see different futures, and knows for an absolute fact that this one was the best. Banner... I don't know. Now he's apparently reconciled himself with the Hulk and seems comfortable always staying green, he suddenly becomes a more expensive, complicated character to film. The Hulk isn't getting his own movie again, and I don't think Ruffalo wants one. I could see him showing up in Black Panther 2, doing science stuff with Shuri. I'd be interested in an Avengers movie built around Carol, Rhodey, Hulk, Falcon, Bucky and Wanda, but I'm not sure Marvel have solid plans for that at the moment. I think their long term business plan is built around Disney Plus being a massive success, and providing constant, monthly income on the basis that people want to watch less expensive TV miniseries. If things like Falcon & Bucky and the Loki shows are a big success, then I can see them wanting to transition more characters to that format. Because Disney Plus will have a massive subscriber base, almost as soon as it launches. It will have Marvel shows, Star Wars shows, Disney shows, movies from all three. And who knows what else they'll put on there. If they launch it globally, they're looking at millions of subscribers by the end of week one.

He'd probably have had to prepare humanity for Thanos' eventual coming, which - based on the fact that he had to travel back in time to return to his own timeline - must have been successful. Question is how much did he know about certain situations. Did Carol fill him in in those 5 years on her origins? If not I can see Steve having the tesseract locked down hard with only Howard able to access it (so he could begin the Arc reactor which his son would perfect). So no Mar Vell experimenting with it creating Captain Marvel. If Steve knows on the other hand he could let it happen and keep Danvers on Earth for training, then send her out to space to warn others and begin building an army against Thanos. Either way when a hammer shows up in New Mexico I see Steve waiting there for when Thor becomes worthy again. Then sending him with a message for Odin that Thanos is coming and the stones need to be extra protected. He could also make contact with the mages with the same warning. Then the only question is did Thanos have the mind stone initially and gave it in the scepter to Loki with the intent to take it back once Loki got ahold of the space stone or did Loki find the scepter himself and Thanos was unaware of what powered it? I assume Thanos knew so in this case he would have been able to acquire the power and mind stone easily. The reality stone was lost until Jane found it, and the space and time gem would be well guarded in this timeline. Of course there is the soul stone. Would Gamora still find the location? Thanos knew the location of most of the stones pre Infinity War. He only decided to amp up acquiring them once he found Gamoras message to Nebula that she had found the soul. Whatever happened though when Thanos came to Earth there would have been an army waiting. SHIELD, Wakanda, mages, and hopefully Asgard. And if Captain Marvel did exist whatever she could round up.

Honestly I think biggest interest I have in the MCU going forward is the rumor they're working on Power Pack and Ms. Marvel shows. Hoping those pan out.

All the other heroes would have shown up 5 to 10 minutes earlier if Sam didn't make all the sorcerers recoordinate the portal entry points so he could finally get Steve back for that "On your left" bullshit.

They are, but if Disney can find a way to make the same money without spending as much, then they will. The outlay for the MCU movies is huge, supposedly $400 million for Endgame, and then another $100 million in marketing Sure, they go on to make huge profits, but if TV miniseries require a fraction of the outlay, even if the budget for the show itself is high, then they're immediately attractive to executives.

Hey, Russo Brothers! Hey Christopher Marcus and Stephen McFeeny too!
STOP TAKING INTERVIEWS! I get you want to take them for extra publicity and you care enough to answer questions but I don’t want any of you to get to J.K Rowling points of trying to wrap up and explain everything.

I tend to agree. People are underestimating how many people were willing to wait 3-4 weeks to miss the crowds. I work at a movie theatre and it's still bringing in massive crowds. This is definitely having some strong legs. I know at least at the theatre I go to, the original handoff to Detective Pikachu for the big IMAX theatre got promptly dropped because they were still selling out Endgame at every showing. They're still advertising the shift for John Wick 3 though, so this next week will be their last big push to get as much money as they can before the Disney hype machine promptly shifts gears and goes full bore for Aladdin the following week.

So I've watched the first Avengers movie as well as Captain America and it's kind of wild. The progression of what these characters go though is amazing. It is also nice knowing now that Steve and Peggy get a happy ending.
Something that I've been thinking about and have decided that I love it is seeing Thanos from 2014 be the primary villain. This was the first year we got to properly see him, but it's a very interesting juxtaposition from the Thanos we see in Infinity War. IW Thanos actually seemed somewhat humbled by his undertaking. The process of collecting the stones had to be a daunting process and it wasn't one he took lightly. It also costs him everything. By the end of the movie he is alone. He kills Gamora and grieves that choice. Even when he finds out that Ebony Maw was killed by Strange, Tony, and Peter, he's sad. After his fight with Tony, he tells Tony that he respects him, he even honors Strange's last request to spare Tony's life. In Wakanda, he could have easily wiped out the heroes, but he just pushes them to the side so he can get past them.
But Endgame Thanos goes through none of that. We see a very arrogant, arguably more evil version of him. He doesn't go through the experience of collecting the stones and it shows. IW Thanos likely thought about resetting the entire universe too, but realized it was too much. Endgame Thanos seems to want to just do it out of spite because he thinks the Avengers aren't grateful for what he did. IW Thanos grasped the gravity of what he was doing while Endgame Thanos seems more hungry for that power once he knows he succeeds in the future. Josh Brolin played 2 very different versions of that same character and did them both wonderfully.

Also the Russos and the writers are putting out contrasting information about the ending. That cap was in the regular universe or not. (Writers are trying to claim he was) Despite he'd have to be in an alternate time by the film's own rules. If he travels to the past to live with Peggy that is different than what happened. It also raises issue that if it didn't why didn't Steve seem to exist when Peggy was dying or at the funeral or Sharon not recognizing him.... Or why cap didn't try to stop Hydra or save Bucky etc. Even if you take the he knew he'd get to it Peggy would demand Steve be Steve because NOT helping is out of character for him and that is one of the things she fell in love with. All the other heroes would have shown up 5 to 10 minutes earlier if Sam didn't make all the sorcerers recoordinate the portal entry points so he could finally get Steve back for that "On your left" bullshit. but they only had 1 way in 14000605 to win, so Sam had to do the "On your left". if he doesn't delay everyone five to ten minute just to get Cap back, Thanos wouldn't have been on the verge on Thor and Cap wouldn't have tried to pick up the hammer, so the heroes would have lost turn that attitude into gratitude for the savior of the universe: Sam "On Your Left" Wilson! The interactions each version of Thanos had with Wanda perfectly illustrate it - the IW version shows genuine compassion for what Wanda had lost, almost tenderly stroking her hair as if to console her. Endgame Thanos couldn't care less about Wanda's loss, even if he'd known.
