You'd be surprised how much of Pro Wrestling get into video games. Beat 'Em Ups had off-brand Road Warriors, Steiners, Brody's, Ult. Warrior. Fighting Games are notorious for having moves lifted from the sport(ie. Wolf Hawkfield using the Burning Hammer and F5, Jeffrey McWild various Powerbombs, DOA having Doomsday Device variations). Shit, Nero in Devil May Cry 5 has a DDT counter against Vergil.

And for a non- beat 'em up or fighting game, the Saints Row series has multiple wrestling moves integrated in their grapples, and one of the main villains in Saints Row The Third was an actual luchador, who used actual, accurate wrestling terminology, and who you had to beat in a deathmatch. You even then had the option if unmasking him!

You even then had the option if unmasking him! Hulk Hogan also voices the former archrival of that bad guy who ended up joining the Saints. And then you had Roddy Piper as himself in Saints Row 4.
Of course, Tekken 7 had actual Bullet Club branding you could put characters in since the director of the series is a massive wrestling (esp. NJPW) fan.

Noob Saibot is borrowing a few of EVIL's catchphrases as well; "Welcome to my Darkness World," "Everything is Evil," etc.

Said it in the MK11 thread in off-topic, but Frost also gets a move called "Cold Skull End".
Screw it, fantasy booking time: if LIJ ever breaks up, then EVIL and SANADA have to fight one another as Noob and Sub-Zero.

I mean is pro wrestling not a real life version of a beat em up game?
Both forms are about colourful larger than life characters settling their problems by fighting each other.

It's not NJPW, but one of Jax's throws is the Burning Hammer.
