Now we have the first ever actual example of Charlotte playing politics and everything is ruined forever.

This is a story where backstage political moves are the least interesting part of the whole package. This is going to be looked back on as one of the most fascinatingly insane times in wrestling once the dust settles, I swear.

On the last note, they're going to look like the bad guy versus AEW, at least initially. Like, it's basically impossible for them not to. But whether or not that perception persists will be up to them.
Regarding the moves, these are probably where these people should have ended up in the first place, anyway. Not really sure why they moved Andrade in the first place.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but wouldn't it have been easier to trade Charlotte to Raw?

Unless the McMahon family completely bows out and sells their controlling interest entirely to somebody more socially-conscious, WWE is ALWAYS going to be the bad guy.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but wouldn't it have been easier to trade Charlotte to Raw? Charlotte is likely to be one of the top stars on SDL-on-Fox. She’s been used in promotion (along with Becky/Cena/Mysterio) and also already done a corporate panel with Fox Sports, with the only other WWE person to do one so far being Stephanie. (It’s also rumoured there were a bunch of Fox execs at the post-Survivor Series SDL last year where she was the first 25 min of the show.) I think looking at the rosters they’ve also been set up for her to lead SDL and Becky to lead Raw—which is why SDL is babyface heavy (with potential feuds like Bayley/Ember/Asuka) and Raw is heel heavy with potential feuds with Alexa and Sasha among others.

This is another one of those “You’d think they’d have more awareness when setting up these moves” moments that the response to that is repeated laughter and the wiping of tears from eyes.

It feels like the practical effect of planning the superstar shake-up is just like the actual way it happens on the show: you just get told backstage "Okay you're going out there now, welcome to Raw" and that's it.

Good for Los Ingobernables de Smackdown En Vivo. The WWE has proven to be petty f***s when it comes to the relationships on the roster.

And they didn't take any of this into consideration prior to the shakeup because...?

If I recall correctly it seemed back in the day (and even not all that long ago) like they'd almost be going out of their way to separate certain couples, at times.

Headline - tries to stir up backstage drama, and imply Charlotte is politicking to keep her boyfriend around. Article - actually makes it clear that the decision has nothing to do with Charlotte personally.
Nice.

I think that was sort of the point of Gizzark's comment; they moved the couple back together because people weren't happy but now there's something people can point to in all their claims of Charlotte's politics in every Charlotte thread we have, and we will never know peace again.
