The big problem with Richards as a nuclear scientist was not her looks as much as it was glamorous look they gave her. Downplay it and it would be more believable.
As for Nicolas Cage as Bond, I think I would stand first in line when Marcy D'Arcy starts to poke out the eyes of every man on earth to avoid seeing him in the role.

Honestly I like the camptastic Roger Moore movies the best. This. The sense of adventure is great

Connery captured the level of deadliness, sophistication and charm that really helped make the character as popular as he became. Brosnan is a damn close second though.

For me it is:
Moore>Connery>Brosnan>Craig>Dalton>Lazenby
Moore is my bond just enjoy the absurd nature of the films that are just fun. Connery is the best for a more serious take on Bond with some great movies. Brosnan is great in his first two films, unfortunately the last two are awful. Craig doesn't feel like James Bond to me, the films are good but don't have that Bond feel to me. Dalton always felt like he should be a villain really plus Daylights is clearly a Roger Moore script whilst License to Kill is very far from what Bond is usually about. Lazenby can't act, no matter how good the film is he drags it down completely.

While we're on the topic of Brosnan Bonds, I have to spill this tea: The Madonna theme song is super underrated and would be much better received today. It's more interesting than anything she's done in this past decade and fits the tech-heavy theme of Die Another Day perfectly. I will be taking this opinion to my grave.
Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.

What about Barry Nelson as Jimmy Bond, CIA Agent It is a fascinating watch Barry Nelson as Jimmy Bond (CIA) Peter Lorre as Le Chiffre Michael Pate as Clarence Leiter (MI6. Clarence because Felix wasn't British sounding enough I guess?) The less said about the 1967 Casino Royale the better. Despite its insane cast (David Niven, Peter Sellers, Orson f***ing Welles) it is pure dogshit, and a chore to watch on fast forward. Just to give you an idea of what a production nightmare it was en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casino_Royale_(1967_film)

Speaking of Bond girls , while I do not much care for Thunderball outside of an occasional marathoning of Bond films but damn do I pay attention when Domino shows up. Oh and soft spot for Mary Goodnight...gorgeous but sharp as a box of rocks lol

For me it's Connery tied with Craig and Brosnan as the best Bonds.
Craig is actually a lot more faithful to Fleming's Bond novels than any of the other films in my opinion.

Moonraker was the first Bond movie I ever watched in the early 90s at my uncle's house, and an 8 year old me had a super big crush on Dr. Holly Goodhead.
After watching almost all the Bonds on Netflix, its between Dalton, Connery, and Moore for me. In a triple threat match I think Dalton takes out Moore but Connery wins with a roll up.
Lol though I dont care what anyone says, but Never Say Never Again is awesome. My twin and I quote it when we get bored, and Barbara Carrera was the best thing about that movie!

Brosnan is the worst Bond with the worst overall group of movies. He’s a more modern version of Roger Moore with way less charm and a lack of safari suits.

I actually think The World Is Not Enough is a pretty fun Bond. How anyone can consider it one of the worst baffles me, given how utterly shit some of them are. Helps it has a solid theme song. I think it's probably the second best of Brosnan's films, but obviously, that's pretty subjective.
Granted, I can barely even remember Tomorrow Never Dies for some reason. Maybe if I rewatched it, I'd rank it higher.
"Die Another Day" is a fine enough Madonna song, but a shitty Bond movie theme. Then again, I tend to prefer the more grand sorts of themes.

World is not enough gets unfairly shat on.....all because of Denise Richards like this is the arguement against this movie I always see which baffles me because there is alot of good about it because...nuclear physist Denise Richards just boils peoples blood lol.
Great opening title and song
Denise Richards is not a good actress BUT she has a presense in the movie and when she is not speaking science gibberish she is not bad
It has argueably the best pre-title sequence in the entire bond series
And it does something new with the formula which is the claim to fame for the Brosnan series of bond movies and in this one it makes the bond girl the main villan.

Not much of a Bond fan. Seen most of the films. What I have seen Lazenby is my favorite. With Dalton in second place.

Two random Die Another Day thoughts:
1. It was already egregious back in '02, but the whole plot of an Asian guy getting plastic surgery to become a white dude would get way more shit if it were released today. Then again, there's a chance it wouldn't have made it in the final draft of the script at all.
2. The glacier-surfing scene may be the closest this series has ever felt to being a direct-to-DVD release from The Asylum.

My favorites in order would be Moore, then Brosnan, than Connery, then Craig, then Lazenby then Dalton. And that’s not a knock on Dalton as I think all the Bonds have their strengths and weaknesses.
There’s a bunch of Bond films I could critique but I still love them. I complicated feelings about Live and Let Die- it’s full of dated stereotypes, but as an adventure film it’s still fun in a goofy way.
SPECTRE has an odd twist at one point that feels like a stretch, but I liked seeing Craig’s 007 lighten up a little after how serious Skyfall was (even though I loved that too.) Casino Royale is still Daniel’s best so far, IMO.
My favorite Bond car was the Lotus Espirit from Spy Who Loved Me. As far as favorite themes: Live & Let Die, You Know My Name, Diamonds Are Forever, Skyfall, Nobody Does It Better, For Your Eyes Only and All Time High.

Goldeneye is a brilliant Bond film, and Brosnan was my Bond growing up, so he'll always be the best for me.
Daniel Craig's open contempt for the role that's made him an A-lister is a slap in the face for the fanbase.
