Has anyone ever done this? I did yesterday to work at another location.
Since it turns out when you travel for Walmart, your clock in is when you leave home, and your clock out is when you return home, yesterday was a good 12 hour day.

I had to travel to Connecticut yesterday for work. Work paid for my lunch and dinner but the only place near my destination was a Burger King. Long story short I now feel like I’m about to die.

Traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts, some town an hour south of Indianapolis and some really tiny town on the West Virginia/Maryland border at my old job.

Not that long of a distance, but old workplace was like two cities away. One hour minimum going to work, about an hour as well going home. 9 or 10 hours of work, not sure at this point since this was years ago, though there was a period where overtime was like up to two to three hours extra everyday for several months. There's also mingling with co-workers after work, which was about 30 minutes to one hour. So nearly 12 hours out for about close to half a year. Not that bad, really, since I still had some time to relax at home after and before work.

I have an office that I go to from time to time. I get paid from the time I leave to the time I get home. Which is nice and I also get my mileage reimbursed. If I have to travel out of state, the flight and hotel is covered. I do have to pay for meals. I think those are covered by reimbursement?

Beginning of December I was sent to another store to help clean up (they were a disaster, paperwork wise) and to train the new girl on how to manage a store, but I myself am not manager.
Told my actual manager that this is a lot of responsibility for someone who makes minimum wage, and wouldn't you know it? I got a raise the next week. A whole dollar.
