Not sure if this deserves its own separate thread or if it should coincide with the initial one, but, here it goes.
I’m seeing more and more people on twitter using this hashtag to call out the company. Some of it being for the four or five minute tag match that left off Charlotte and Bayley. However, the majority of it is being used to signify the talent that haven’t been used such as Liv, Ruby, Mickie James, Sarah Logan, Ember, etc. You name a woman who’s gotten little to no screentime? They’re on it.
It’s been a slow start, but the movement has gotten 240 tweets in the last hour. Yalls thoughts on this? I personally disagree on the match length as there has been plenty of long term women’s matches that have happened after Mania. However, there’s no denying that the majority of women haven’t really gotten their fair chance yet, if it all. I suppose it’s a process, but it’s crazy to see it take off lol

I joined in on it a bit ago. Really hoping this starts gaining some momentum, this shit's getting ridiculous.

I’m grateful for those like Becky or Bayley who are getting time as they deserve it, but there are tons, tons of women on each brand that haven’t even gotten a single second of screentime yet. And as a fan who wants to see them all shine in their own way? It’s a bit frustrating.

I hope it trends during the next RAW or SmackDown so they get humiliated again.
They literally bragged about how they fixed the problem.

I'm not surprised with how poorly the women's wrestling has gone since Mania. Ronda Rousey's gone and Vince thought she would give WWE the mainstream relevance it covets so. Plus you have Bruce "Killer of TNA's Knockouts Division" Prichard on staff again.

It's been glaringly obvious ever since the blowoff to the Naomi vs. Mandy Rose feud went about 90 seconds, when the feud had enough of a reason to culminate in a Street Fight match or something else that could have showcased them.

Yeesh, I forgot that this has been culminating during the actual Mania build as well. And I say that as someone who liked the feud itself, lol

I agree with all this on principle, but I’m racking my brain trying to figure out how to give EVERYONE their shine under the current TV structure where the only way they kind of give a damn about you is seemingly a guaranteed 15 minutes every week.

I would honestly be content if they either got their own program on the network, or spare a little more time for the women. It’s super difficult to think about SD, but Raw has three hours. Hell, do the NXT format and have a rotation of women that get showcased weekly on SD. It doesn’t even have to be in ring either. It could be a simple mini promo that they show on their phones like they did this week for Finn and others. With all that being said, it was super difficult to try and think of how to get ALL women on both shows, more specifically, SD.

I mean sure, but it’s not even a women’s issue. Pretty much nobody gets a chance regardless of gender.

It'd help if they cut down all of the recaps and repeat segments. Like, right offhand, for Raw cut recapping the Mania matches, for SmackDown cut the repeat of Firefly Fun House. Then start trimming from the other matches, God knows no one would have minded if the Corbin & Lashley / AJ & Seth match was five minutes shorter.

It’s been a real bummer seeing how things have been going for the women’s division since probably right after the Elimination Chamber, maybe a little before. I was hoping some kind of groundswell of fan demand would happen and they’d have to stop with this bullshit. The matches on Smackdown are constantly being changed or dropped after being advertised, they’re getting about 4 minutes apiece per show for actual wrestling, and the women’s tag champions are either being jobbed out or not featured at all.
The booking in general has been bad, but the women’s lack of airtime has been a glaring problem.

I can sympathize with the intention but to me the women bar Becky/Charlotte are mid-carders and some cases near the top of that section. I think the IIconics have been given more time to develop compared to the majority of male tag teams. Kairi is being booked with more intention than the majority of the other calls up have gotten.
I am not saying they are being booked well but I think the women titles are at least on par with the U.S/IC/Male Tag team titles which is more than you can say a while.

Yeah, my personal gripe is just certain talent being left off entirely on top of the constant changes/cut off time for matches. Aside from that, the IICONICS are supposed to be a team that got lucky at Mania and are now having a hard time getting their shit together. It’s basically how they’ve always been booked, so I have no problem with them or the Kairi/Asuka pairing.

With all that being said, it was super difficult to try and think of how to get ALL women on both shows, more specifically, SD. I don't think they could do a main roster network show with only women without it stirring up some kind of anger about them getting shoved into a ghetto like a common street rat/cruiserweight. It's just... The whole set up is broken. You shouldn't need to be on TV for 15 minutes every single week to get your shit in, but they've made it in such a way that they kinda do. And now we have this wild card gimmick where there will be a group of talents that will be on BOTH shows each week (because, let's be honest, it's not gonna be your Chad Gables and EC3s of the world that will work the other show, it'll be main event guys), and they'll eat into the time, too, for men and women alike. The whole structure is just not practical for presenting a roster of their size to its fullest potential, so they need to either need to change the structure at its fundamental roots and commit to that change, or clean out the toy box and cut about 20 people from the roster.

The problem on Smackdown is they have to wait until Becky loses her belt so they can restructure the roster on Smackdown. Clearly, this was not their initial plan which is why I think we got a sort of awkwardly time Kairi/Asuka (maybe they wanted to call up Io idk) pairing because I believe they had plans for Asuka to still be women's champion for MITB. So whenever Charlotte gets her title back I am sure the smackdown women roster will get their time back. Or Charlotte and her feud will.

On the other hand if 2 lowcard or midcard men actually starting drawing youtube eyeballs to their feud the way Naomi vs Mandy did it wouldn't have just ended abruptly for "reasons" like it was a cricket level No Way Jose vs Epico feud

Yeah, I think this was another reason Vince suddenly deciding Becky needed both belts was a bad decision.
