Arrives with much fanfare and hype, heavily featured at first, gets superhero theme, amazing in the ring..starts to tumble down the card and then starts to lose a whole bunch. Eventually asks for release.
Besides the Cruiserweight division thing (although that could still happen) I can see Ricochet mirroring Neville once Vince gets bored.
I sure hope I’m wrong

As long Vince is around, yes sadly. From that interview we saw about the WWE writers and ext. Until Vince is gone and it doesn't sound like that happening soon. Very few are going to get the chance they really want from NXT call ups. Unless Vince himself falls in love with the guy which clearly he doesn't because he wouldn't have fallin. Lets fact it, if this AEW stuff happened a couple years ago, I doubt he sign. Really think if things take off for AEW, Vince is either going to be forced to change when more and more talent start thinking hard before signing with him. More so with how pitty he becoming when a talent is so unhappy and wants out, yet he won't allow it.

Does this mean he's gonna inexplicably go from bad to amazing on the mic overnight because if so I'm on board.

More like Evan Bourne 4.0 after Neville and Justin Gabriel.

If they had any sense, Ricochet would be one of their top stars.

I still feel - sadly - that his biggest flaw is lacking much in personality traits or character beyond 'flips' and 'smiles.' At a stretch it seems you could add 'cocky,' but that's not really in a very endearing way.
It could well just be the contrast to his in-ring work; I see him flipping non-stop without letting each move breathe, and I think... "okay, but why and so what?"

You can tell Vince hates him, because he debuted on the main roster less than a year in NXT, and in the months since debuting on the main card, he's had a match on the main card of Wrestlemania, and is in the Money In The Bank match.
He's doomed.

Ahh good, we’ve reached the point where we start blaming the worker for not fitting into the main roster mould when nobody in that process helps or is willing to speak to said person about what to do.
My favorite part about the NXT Callup to Main Roster process.

My favorite part about the NXT Callup to Main Roster process. For mine, I don't necessarily blame Ricochet himself. I don't read most the others that way, either. I would wager that his character direction comes from where most suspect.

He's doomed. I'm so confused on this Ricochet stuff. I haven't really noticed anything 'bad' about his presentation thus far.

He's doomed. And they put him and that Moody sumbitch on every show for about 3 weeks just so people would hate him and his athleticism, charisma and good looks

I think Nevell was a much better all around talent.

Not necessarily. He had Heyman there as a modifier, though. Ricochet doesn't have someone to do his talking for him. That could be changed in one night, though. Look at Lio Rush and Lashley (although probably not the best example given recent events). Give the guy a mouthpiece and it could really pay off.
