I have this theory about the alternative 1985 time line in which Biff has the Sports Alminac and becomes rich and power. During this raise to power, he did a few dirty things here and there, one being murdering George McFly, but also murder a young aspiring politcian named Goldie Wilson.
As we saw in the first movie, Goldie is someone with a lot of spunk and integrity, he told George to stand up for himself, so mogel Biff had a run in with him, tried to buy off, but Goldie had too much integritty, so Biff had him knocked off.
It is not out of character, he killed George, and his ancetor Mad Dog Tannen murdered Strickland's ancestor.

He also got the school burned down so that no one would ever get smart enough to invent time travel.
Actually now that I think about, did alt Biff "know" what time travel was? Because it not, why would he think to take the advanced step in getting Emmett Brown committed?

Old Man [2015] Biff warned High School [1955] Biff about some punk kid and a wide eyed scientist coming to find the almanac, so timeline 'A' Millionaire Biff [who we later meet in 1985A] must have realized who Dr. Brown was in the 1970s and struck first.
But of course before the ripple of timeline 'A' could reach 2015 where original Marty and Doc were located, they went back to 1985 to find the alternate 'A' timeline that taken over. The only thing that changed in 2015 was Old Man Biff ceasing to exist by fading out in a deleted scene where the director implied Lorraine or someone killed Millionaire Biff sometime in the 'A' 90s - thus Old Man Biff from the original timeline doesn't make it to any new version of 2015A that would be changing around Marty and Doc had they not left.
Great Scot! Heavy stuff, Doc.
I love trying to wrap my head around these plots.
Has anyone read the analysis of how there were four DeLoreans in November 1955 on the day of the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance? It goes deep, but the recap is something like this: 1. Marty accidentally came from 1985 after outrunning the Libyans [BTTF I]. 2. Old Man Biff came from 2015 with almanac. 3. Marty and Doc came from 1985A to intercept said book [BTTF II]. 4. Doc left DoLerean #3 buried in mine sometime after 1885 for Marty to find in 1955 after it is struck by lightning.
I just also just read that Doc was supposed to be aged 35-40 in 1955!! Never even tried to think on how much sense that makes.

I think it was in the commentary, they said that the test audience didn’t understand why he faded away.

It explains people being erased from existence.

Better theory - Biff wanted to assassinate Goldie Wilson, but accidentally assassinated Goldie Hawn. This caused them to have to make Private Benjamin with Carrie Fisher instead, and in turn Fisher had to drop out of Empire Strikes Back. Without Fisher Empire Strike Back bombs at the box office killing any plans for further Star Wars films and ending it as a viable franchise. The lack of Star Wars causes western civilization as we know it to collapse, and Biff stepped in with his money to rebuild society in his image.

Nah, Western Civilization doesn't collapse but people go to conventions dressed as characters from the Last Starfighter.

That sounds like Western Civilization in ruins to me.
