Gayle and Tom Benson are/were extremely devout Catholics, they were protecting what they believe in. But they are not defending their faith. They are defending their religion's organization. If I were a rich and influential Catholic like them I would strive to make the church purge their organization of those who abuse children. That would be a much more effective means of protecting the organization by demonstrating that the victims are important to them and will not set up more future victims in the name of covering up crimes. While I don't disagree with you for a lot of people there is no separation there, I believe the head of the New Orleans Catholic church walked with Gayle at Tom's funeral.

Chargers are saying they moved on from Phillip Rivers reportedly I can't help but think this will be of those break-ups where Rivers dumped the Chargers to move on with his life; and the Chargers will spend the next 5 years saying they were the ones that broke up first and won't get over Rivers.

Chargers are saying they moved on from Phillip Rivers reportedly Eli and Archie are watching this treatment that Rivers is getting from the Chargers, and saying "See, this is why we avoided them." He's the greatest QB that franchise has ever had, and Spanos is treating him like this.

I mean, I get it (his stats did not impress until after the team drafted Rivers, and it wasn't until he got to NO that he became a future HOF player), but they did have him and could have used that pick for some other position of need.

The Texans name Bill O鈥橞rien GM
And it gets better. They named Jack Easterby Executive VP of Football Operations.
For those of you who don't know... Jack Easterby is literally a Christian pastor who was essentially a priest for the Pats , his title was Character Development Coach... Now exec vice president of football
I am now pointing and laughing so hard at the Texans, good luck.

I mean, when you have the epitome of a mediocre coach, who depends on having one of the best QBs in the league to get to 10 wins, you have no choice but to give him more power.

[Athletic] NFL not investigating New Orleans Saints advising church in its response to pedophilia case, source says.
The NFL does not care about this one.

[Athletic] NFL not investigating New Orleans Saints advising church in its response to pedophilia case, source says. The NFL does not care about this one. Of course not. Why would the NFL want to investigate one of their owners for being involved in any sort of cover-up? That's like me investigating someone for breathing or spending a lot of time on the internet.
