[Athletic] NFL not investigating New Orleans Saints advising church in its response to pedophilia case, source says. The NFL does not care about this one. Of course not. Why would the NFL want to investigate one of their owners for being involved in any sort of cover-up? That's like me investigating someone for breathing or spending a lot of time on the internet. I actually don't fault the NFL on this one. It's way above their pay grade and has no impact on the on-field game, so why would the league need to stick its beak into this? This is one that actual law enforcement handles, not the NFL's investigators.

Pretty sure he's hanging it up. If so, what a ride.

Pretty sure he's hanging it up. If so, what a ride. I don't think he's retiring. He's already stated that he wants to continue playing. But he could be leaving the Patriots. The past few seasons Brady and the Patriots have butted heads on contracts. Tom wants at least a 2 year deal (Drew Brees recent 2 year 50 million deal seems to be the template here) while the Patriots would perfer to go year to year. And we all know Belichick would rather lose a player a year too early than hold on to him a year too long. The wild card here is Bob Kraft. Belichick doesn't give damn what people think but Kraft loves Brady and may not want to go down as the owner who let the GOAT walk. But would Kraft overrule Belichick? Furthermore the Patriots would like to resolve this quickly. Last year they were unable to address the receiver situation partially because they were uncertain of Gronk's status. By the time Gronk retired their other targets had moved on. They probably don't want to get in a long drawn out negotiation with Brady. Recently Tom's been trying to send the message that he's open to playing elsewhere. He was seen talking to Raiders owner Mark Davis at the Connor McGregor fight. He's also put his Massachusetts home on the market and is supposedly looking at homes in ther markets. This Tweet may be just the lastest attempt to get people talking and maybe pressure the Patriots into paying up. I'm just hopeing that Brady and the Patriots find a way to work this out. He should be a Patriot for life.

Actions speak louder than words and until he gets his life together, I am not going to take this apology at face value.

That is the quintessential Zach Thomas picture. He needs to be in at some point, hopefully ASAP.

Lamar Jackson has been named MVP according to ESPN. I mean, regular season numbers, but, uh... where the hell was he in the playoffs?

Lamar Jackson has been named MVP according to ESPN. I mean, regular season numbers, but, uh... where the hell was he in the playoffs? It's a purely regular season award. The voting does not factor in any playoff results.
