I still stand that Trixie was in the wrong this episode.

I think this is also a season record: two episodes with no Mane 6ers in it (no, Chrysalis transforming to look like Twilight doesn't count as the voice was different).

Let's be real here, everything that happened is really Twilight's fault, who assigns a project just before spring break?

"Student Counsel"...gets a 10/10. Pros: -The Startrix was really strong in this one. Just like the Rarijack hinting in the EQG shorts, I do wonder if the staff likes Startrix as shown in this episode. I loved their interaction and chemistry and how Trixie was tip-toeing the fine line of being reasonable in Starlight hanging out with her while not appearing too clingy. Then again, she did have good reason to be pissed at her since they promised to do stuff for Maud's birthday (?) party and she forgot due to all the counselling she did. Loved Starlight getting more and more like her mentor in getting stressed out over tackling responsibilities and going into some extremes related to that. In the end, however, she seems to have found a good middle path to do this by offering set times for students to visit. Otherwise, some fun moments like Trixie "search method" for cockatrices or Starlight's counselling sessions with the various students. -Another pro of watching these unspoiled: the pleasent surprise of seeing Sunburst, Maud Pie & Mudbriar as well as Terramar making an appearance and they all provided some hilarious moments. Maud Pie's and Mudbriar's scenes were easily the highlight with their underlying sexual chemistry and they had some very funny lines, Sunburst was decent and it was good seeing Terramar as the worried younger brother. All of them + Startrix made for a wonderful search party. -It was sweet seeing the cockatrices in a prominent role again after Season 1 (with one of them only having a cameo in the Season 8 finale) and learning more about their way of life. Also was nice to see a good cockatrice for once. -For me personally, it was sweet seeing Lily in a background cameo again (I sure hope that stallion treats her right, otherwise...) and Rose in a speaking role (though no Daisy makes me sad). The same for Mrs. Cake and in a more prominent role, Silverstream whose opening scene with convincing her cousins about showers was really good. Cons: -None I could think of, it was just a wonderful episode. 10/10 well deserved.

It was a valiant effort.
